We ordered delivery from them, two days ago, on Valentines Day. It was about 30 mins before they closed, which I didn't realize until looking at their hours about an hour later and realized they had closed. We ordered two bags of their Denver chips, a turkey and brie sandwich, spicy vegetarian sandwich, and a roast beef sandwich. The spicy veggie sandwich was served on a sliced loaf bread instead of the advertised, pretzel bun. The sliced bread also just crumbled to pieces as I held it. The turkey and brie sandwich seemed to be missing the brie. At first we thought it might be some kind of spreadable brie, but looking closer at the restaurant photos, it seemed like it should've been more obvious brie cuts, which definitely wasn't visually apparent in what we received. The spread was apparently the mustard, instead. Our son ordered the roast beef sandwich and when I showed him a picture of the sandwich on the website, he was like, "oh, mine is missing the red onions." The onions weren't a huge deal, but just seemed to add insult to injury. The two bags of Denver chips we ordered ended up being original flavor. The image shows the sweet and spicy flavor out front, which happened to be one of our more recent favorite flavors and brand of chips. That's why we ordered two bags, but a little more disappointment was just sprinkled on the situation, instead. Another fun thing that happened was that my wife ended up reviewing our order on two different websites, and got an awkward reply from a restaurant representative saying, "thank you for leaving this review in two locations," which I'm sure they would've been fine with if they were positive reviews. Being near closing, it seems like whoever was working had checked out a bit prematurely. It's Boulder, I'm sure celebratory, shift ending smoke breaks happen. Unfortunately, this one seemed to have happened at the expense of the customer. If I were a manager there, I would look at who was working that night instead of getting defensive toward justifiably, negative reviews. My spicy vegetarian sandwich was actually decent, even on the incorrect bread, but my wife and son (19) were definitely not too happy with their sandwiches. 5 stars for quality, but 3 stars for value. I got a turkey reuben, and the turmeric ginger kraut is uniquely delicious. A strong flavor, but not overpowering. It comes on fresh bread, toasted of course, and the filling to bread ratio was spot on. That said, my friend got a turkey cranberry and the ratio was wayyyy off. Like 2/3 bread, 1/3 filling. While the bread is clearly fresh and delicious, when you spend $10 on a sandwich you expect more than a baguette with minimal insides. Got the turkey and Brie. There was some kind of spread but I don't think it was Brie and I couldn't actually find any slices of Brie on it. And they added horse radish; it was all I could taste. I stopped in today for the first time. I ordered a spicy Veggie. Which is essentially a avocado, cheese, tomato and caramelized onions sandwich topped with sprouts and a mildly spicy garlic pepper relish of sorts. All served on a giant pretzel bun. It was tasty. Expensive. But tasty. I felt like it was missing something though. Some marinated tempeh or sautéd mushrooms would make this sandwich taste so much better and be worth the over a $10 it cost after tax. It's nice to have an Organic alternative to Snarfs which is definitely a Boulder favorite. I also really enjoyed the reggae music on the radio and the lovely ladies that made my food. Okay sandwiches. I think by most standards people would love this place but me not so much. They should toast the buns and put 2x the meat they use if I wanted a salad I would order one! I honestly don't know why these guys don't have more 5 star reviews because our experience was fabulous! I cruised in with my mom for lunch yesterday. My mom has a bit of a difficult time navigating sometimes and the young lady behind the counter was SO patient. She answered all our questions, showed us the bread choices, let us taste the soups and was generally and angel. We ordered 2 soups and shared a GF Turkey and Brie sandwich. Because she had handled the other breads she asked if I needed her to change gloves (win for me!). The cashew and beet soup was good, not my jam but my mom loved it. I had the tomato and leek soup, which was ridiculous! The honey mustard was an unexpected spice to compliment the brie on the sandwich. Turkey can sometimes be dry, especially on gf bread - not here! I'd be a regular at Organic Sandwich Company if there was one near my hometown, but I was so pleased to have stumbled upon this restaurant after a hike at the Flatirons in Boulder, CO. This sandwich shop is brand new and is located in downtown Boulder. I will caution you that Apple Maps was about a quarter mile off with this location so we had a little walk from the parking garage it sent us to, but we weren't upset about having the opportunity to explore the shops along the way. I ordered a half turkey and bacon jam sandwich and a small order of chilled avocado, cuke, cilantro soup. Let me start by telling you that this soup was so cool and refreshing after being outdoors in the summer weather. I like the concept but not my sandwich. I only have a recommendation for them - the avocado and chickpea sandwich needs a different type of bread. The avocado made the bread extremely soggy to the point where it was inedible. It became a big ball of mush and it was like eating bread dough. Unfortunately I had to throw it away along with my $10. I might be back to try a different sandwich, and please reconsider the type of bread you use for this sandwich. Otherwise, I like the ambiance of the place and it's super clean. read more

I like this place. I had been here in the past, but it was during a free tasting event on Pearl, so I didn't review it then. But everything I tried then had been very good. Hearing from some trusted friends that the breakfast was very good, I headed down today to have the egg slider. I liked all the ingredients, especially the nice soft and fresh brioche roll. I might have enjoyed one more ingredient on it and next time I will ask if something green could be added, but the egg, cheese and sriracha aioli was very tasty. Another place I go does arugula but I've seen places with spinach too. Either would be good, I think. And bacon is an option though this would have been my third serving of bacon in a week so I abstained. A real treat for me today was that they had just taken some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies out of the oven, so I got two to save for tonight's dinner. We just ate them and it was certainly a good choice. I will always look for some take home desserts when I am here. I like finding fresh homemade single serving desserts rather than to bake a whole recipe for the two of us at home now. We just have no resistance. I save baking for entertaining. The shop was bright and cheerful on a cold, rare gray Boulder day. I met some friendly visitors to Boulder and the staff was efficient and cheerful and the shop was very clean. I really enjoyed the Turkey Bacon Jam sandwich from Organic Sandwich Company. They use house-made bacon jam on the sandwich with turkey, lettuce and tomato on a pretzel loaf bun. I ordered cary out and phoned my order in so they met me at the door with my food as customers can't enter the shop during Covid-19. Their employees are masked and wear gloves, and are very nice. The weather was good so I used one of their patio tables that are set up distant from other tables. My wife ordered a vegetarian sandwich on a gluten free bun. Strolling down Pearl St today with little man, I had the good fortune to run into Marcy, the owner, who responded quite thoughtfully to my previous review, and her two boys. Although she was on her way to an appointment, she was generous with her time when I stopped her and asked if she was who I thought she was. We spoke about my previously mentioned concerns from my review as well as some other key aspects of running a business like hers. She was so sincere and open, and is clearly eager to find practical solutions to issues that arise. It was very clear by the way she spoke that she truly cares about her customers and their experiences at her restaurant, along with the quality of ingredients that go into the sandwiches. I've never had such a positive and sincere interaction with a business owner via Yelp before, and running into and speaking directly to her gave me so much more to appreciate about the Organic Sandwich Co. Their customer service in the sandwich shop is always top notch... I've never experienced anything less than friendly, pleasant workers behind the counter. I also love that they sell Bragg's ACV drinks (the ginger one is my favorite). We will be back again! read more

The service made me feel a little awkward. But aside from that the food is delicious! When I was there, the two employees acted very oddly towards me. They asked me for my order, but then started working on disentangling some cords after I stepped forward. After about five minutes, they apologized for keeping me waiting. The other employee who actually did the food preparation was speaking very lightly, as if she felt speaking louder than a whisper was inappropriate. I was pretty uncomfortable with their awkwardness. When I actually got the food, I was very pleased, however. They have a variety of jams that they put in their sandwiches, and the uniqueness is quite innovative and worthwhile. First off, I would like to commend this place for having delicious gluten free bread that doesn't fall apart and for having grass-fed roast beef. AND coconut oil potato chips AND gluten free desserts. I personally could not ask for more. That being said, I thought this place was incredibly overpriced. I know restaurants in Boulder are all pretty expensive, but these sandwiches are not that big (not much meat, either) and they started at $11 if I'm not mistaken. Then you have to pay about $2 for a bag of chips, so my meal was pretty pricey when all was said and done (my sandwich was $14.) My sandwich tasted so good and fresh, but I do not recommend the stone ground mustard - it tasted like chemicals to me, so I would ask to sample it maybe before ordering it. read more

I know a lettuce wrap is probably an irritating order because they're difficult to manage, but I seriously got a piece of lettuce badly folded around one slice of prosciutto and two hunks of mozzarella... for something like $12?? Why so skimpy at that price? Don't say you can do a lettuce wrap if you can't and charge people full price. They should've loaded that sucker up with lots more prosciutto to get it to hold together, instead of one tiny strip, or simply say you don't do lettuce wraps.
