    OMG Grilled Cheese
    Jamie W.

First stop on my Colorado trip was lunch at Postino in Boulder. They are located in a cute part of the city surrounded by a mix of boutiques and brand businesses, which was nice to walk around after. I got the beer works pale ale pint which was delicious. However, their happy hour promo of $6 pitchers wasn't honored for the smaller pint size which was weird because there was no way I would have finished a whole pitcher by myself. I wish I could have just had the pint for $6 but was charged $8. We split the Prosciutto and Bri sandwich with side salad as well as their grilled cheese and tomato soup. The prosciutto sandwich was one of the best paninis I had and the ingredients went well with the fig jam. The grilled cheese was made well, but I wished the tomato soup was served hotter. Another note was their bathroom situation with the door handle locks needs to be fixed as I spent an awkward 10 minutes waiting for the restrooms which were locked from the inside. Servers were super great and chill overall!

The service is prompt and pleasant. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable and a busy. There's a limited selection of craft brews. My IPA was smooth and offered a hint of citrus that was pleasantly subtle.

Stopped by needing some fuel after a long flight into town. It had a nice buzz to it. The boards were very popular but big so we didn't border it for the table. Instead I got the pick two with a half a French drip sandwich and potato soup. The soup was the clear winner. Chock full of potato and bacon, it was just perfect for a cool fall day. The sandwich was fine. The au just a bit bland. Service was good though it took a bit to get our drinks. Cozy interior. A good place for lunch for sure.

Excellence place to get a snack and a drink. Upscale atmosphere. The bruschetta is amazing. Service is very friendly.

House made chips were great. I think we ate them all!

A photo of the OMG Grilled Cheese and soup is what brought us here and we were not disappointed! I'm not a brie fan, but I quite enjoyed it nonetheless. Worked great with the tomato soup. The housemade Ruffles-style chips were great - not greasy or too salty like Ruffles. We also ordered a Bruschetta board as we didn't realize how much food that would be for the 2 of us. Doh! So we didn't finish all the choices but the Salami and Pesto was the favorite of each of us.

    Cheers!

One of the best patios in downtown Boulder! Easy to enjoy the daily happy hour on the patio and have a perfect view of all of the action on Pearl Street. Inside is a cute 80s vibe, and the food and drinks are always perfect.

Great food - beautiful happy hour deal - would go all the time for board and bottle. I definitely would try the different bruschettas - my favorite is especially the warm artichoke

Back to my home town on the way back from RMNP. Thanks to fellow Yelpies for doing a recent review for this location and wanted to try out for myself. I Still had fond memories of my visit to Postino on Colorado Blvd (Postino9CO) during Yelp event. Got the Bruschetta Board (choose 4). A smoked salmon and also two other options. $6 glass of wine till 5 pm everyday was a crowd pleaser. Loved the cab served cold. Didn't take much time to warm up either. $6 pitcher of beer till 5 pm was also an eye catcher. I think you can get two pints out of it. Overall, awesome ambiance, fast and friendly service. Drink and food served on timely basis. Definitely will be back and will even try going back to Postino9CO location.

We stopped by Postino in Boulder for brunch around 10:30 AM on a Sunday. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty quiet, with only 1 or 2 other tables occupied. Despite that, we were told that they cannot seat parties of 5 or more on the patio, which struck us as a strange policy, especially given how empty it was. Something to keep in mind if you're hoping for a larger outdoor brunch gathering. Service: 2.5/5 Our experience started off promising while the restaurant was still quiet. But as it got busier, service noticeably dropped off. Our server disappeared for long stretches, and it became difficult to flag anyone down. On top of that, we received two incorrect orders, which is concerning given that the restaurant wasn't slammed at the time. I'm not sure if the errors were due to the server or the kitchen, but either way, mistakes like this during a relatively slow period are hard to excuse. The unwillingness to allow a basic substitution (more on that below) also added to the frustration. Drinks: Mimosa, 3/5 Classic and as expected. Refreshing but nothing standout. Espresso Martini, 2.5/5 A bit of an odd flavor I couldn't quite place. Not terrible, but not something I'd order again. Food: Bruschetta Board, 5/5 Shareable, fresh, and flavorful. You get to choose 4 options, we picked: Brie, apple & fig spread - Excellent Prosciutto, fig & mascarpone - Excellent Burrata, bacon, arugula & tomato - Solid, but I'd try a different one next time Spicy sweet potato - Seasonal special and very tasty... though we were given the seasonal dessert option by mistake instead, so had to fix this. West coaster panini, 2/5 Ingredients sounded promising, but the execution fell flat. Nothing memorable, and the side couldn't be subbed for tots (even with a surcharge), which felt unnecessarily rigid. PREAM bowl with steak, 5/5 (eventually) Delicious when it arrived, but we were first brought the chicken version, so we had to wait about 10 extra minutes for the correct order. The steak itself was tender and flavorful. Would absolutely order again (correctly the first time, hopefully!). Raspberry chicken salad, 3/5 Decent, fresh, and as advertised. Not much more to say, just not a standout. Meatball shakshouka, 5/5 A pleasant surprise from the brunch menu. Rich flavors, tender meatballs, and those house-made tots are so good. One of the best dishes we tried. Overall: 3/5 Postino has a solid brunch menu with some great dishes. I'd definitely consider coming back for the food alone. However, the overall experience was marred by inconsistent service, order errors, and some odd inflexibility with seating and substitutions. If they can smooth out those issues, it has the potential to be a go-to brunch spot in Boulder. But as it stands, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Postino's is unique, fun, and delicious! Great prices and specials for happy hour including $6 glasses of wine and pitchers of beer, and $25 combo deal with a bottle of wine and a board! Friendly staff and drinks and food come out super fast! The ambiance was super chill and fun vibes. Right in the heart of Pearl Street! There is street parking all around the area was not difficult to find. Just a few minutes from the hikes. Highly recommend!

Maybe rightly so as their specialized ingredients are harder to get. We sat inside this time though we used to go mostly mid summer and sit out. The patio was jam full last night so we ate inside where it was quite empty early evening during happy hour. My husband had the happy hour special of the evening, a very large serving of large mussels with grilled sourdough and a lucious broth. We also had some small plate tapas and I mostly grazed those. I love Bocarones and they do it so well though for me last night, the peppers were a bit too spicy. But I got the majority of the little fishies, my husband the peppers.. We also had the tortilla papas and the charred Hazel Dell mushrooms which were excellent. The little salad topping on the tortilla was full of specialty greens like fennel fronds and pea shoots. The mushrooms has a warm egg yolk on top to stir into the dressing which was tasty. We finished with their flan which was as good as my Spanish born neighbor made in my youth. I had a very nice tea with it. I was originally going to knock off a star for pricing but honestly, I don't think they have much option these days. But sadly we will go less frequently in the future.

My husband and I were only in Boulder for a few days but we went back a second time since we knew it would be safe for me and we both enjoyed it. I had a pork chop off the specials menu the first night and the vegan cauliflower steak the second night. Loved both, but especially recommend the cauliflower steak. Keep in mind it's tapas style, so your food will show up in the order it shows up, not all at once. Getting second drinks was a little slow as the place got more crowded, but the drinks were good. Non alcoholic cocktail options looked good too -- my husband ordered something off that list but subbed in regular alcohol and was very happy with the results. If you have strong opinions about wine, you might want to google the wine list ahead of time; the wine menu lacks descriptions and the waiters were a little less fluent in pairing recommendations there.

When Colorado announced Michelin was coming for the first time, I was confident Frasca would get a star. The high end food scene in Denver has improved over the years, but Frasca keeps getting more impressive too without moving away from their fundamentals. The menu changes with the seasons and ingredients, but it can always be counted on to be delicious, impressive, and artistic. The wine menu is almost overwhelming but we'll guided, and the cocktails are unique. Service throughout is expert and engaging, with depth and attentiveness. The platings were quite beautiful. The wine pairings were a delight. My expectations were set high, as their many accolades suggest. We both got the full experience with their friulano tasting menu. And also added on the caviar course. That may have been the only highlight of the meal. And I say that because the cheesy potato it was served on was absolutely delicious, although it was an odd pairing for the flavors of caviar which did not elevate the caviar in any way. The cheesy potatoes seemed clunky and too rustic to enhance the caviar. It would have been better served with a red meat or heartier protein. After that, absolutely nothing stood out to me as being uniquely delicious. The squid ink pasta was a major let down as the squid ink was so overpowering in the balance of the dish. Probably my least favorite course, although even that is debatable. This was a very salty dish, the first of many to come. One of the major takeaways from the meal as a whole, was how overly seasoned everything was. I am a salt fanatic and I really enjoy salt, however nothing seemed balanced when it came to salt. Just way too salty on several courses. Almost as if their proteins had been in a brine just a little too long. Although that's just a guess.... I'm glad I had the opportunity to try this restaurant however I would not go back again. It has been my experience that some places, once they earn James beard and Michelin recognition, almost give up. As in point Joel Robuchon, who lost their Michelin status. Highlighting more locally grown, seasonally harvested ingredients and showcasing them to their fullest potential in unique and innovative ways is much more impressive than caviar on cheesy potatoes. Btw, the cheesy potatoes, if served in a smaller portion, would have been an excellent accompaniment to the very salty red deer course. The desert course looked pretty and some elements were good, however not innovative nor original. Quite the lackluster afterthought, which again, was subpar.

I had high hopes after researching this place online and on Yelp for both of their locations, with…read morepictures. Very little of what we were served tonight lived up to those expectations. It's was quite sad considering the amount we spent. The portions on all but the delicious fall salad were much smaller than the appeared in pix and descriptions. For starters, the happy hour house wines which were only marginally tasty have an asterisk on their online menu stating that the wine glasses are elegant and oversized. The amount of sips I took in no way added up to the supposed 5oz pour. I have to measure fluids medically and I know well how 5oz swallows. This was about 3.5. We ordered some of happy hour plates that had been advertised on Downtown Boulder as $9 plates. There was only one on the menu. The rest of the tiny number of items were at $11 which is still a good value if offered. There were only 4 offers on starters and one "sweet" but more about the sweet later. We ended up paying full price for the rest of our starters. The first picture I found online of the arancini appeared to be baked with the mushroom risotto grains visible. What showed up on our plate were small arancini balls heavily coated in breadcrumbs and heavily fried. Not unusual and why I rarely order. So nothing special but for the tasty but tiny duck center. The Rösti was also not as pictured or described and covered with crumb or batter darkly fried onion tidbits , not sprinkled with fresh grated parm as in the pictures . We found no lingonberry berries or jam in it either but the potato base was tasty. We ordered the autumn salad and it was great. A good sized bowl of fresh greens with lots of the promised ingredients, but at full price, not happy hour. The happy hour sweet was the pictured and heralded apple strudel paired with a cappuccino . We ordered so my husband could have the cappuccino and we could share the strudel. The cappuccino came immediately and eventually we had to ask for the strudel as the drink was mostly done and cold. Someone brought the tiny bit out on a plate with more whipped cream than strudel with excuse that they did not realize we wanted them together ( they were described as a pairing) and they needed to "bake" the strudel (was it frozen or refrigerated). We each had a bite of the apple filling with a simple cover of pastry, hardly a strudel which involves " layers" of pastry but it clearly was handmade and it tasted nice. My husband ate the cream as I can't. During the visit, the nice server we started with went on break and her substitute was not much interested. The place was nearly empty on a Saturday night at happy hour with a jam packed Pearl St Mall further west. Sadly they are next door to a fading and empty eatery. I doubt they can survive. The turnover in this space has been extremely high. I was hoping for more with such a unique menu for Pearl. If you go, choose wisely, note that some staff are unaware of the advertised time of the happy hour and had to go check before serving us another item. And also know that the billing tablet is preloaded with 23% tip as standard "center" option not the customary 20% or 18% as most other places on Pearl. We are not likely to go back given these issues so plan ahead with the menu and watch the clock. As others have mentioned, the decor and music were fine. No pix of the dessert because I was distracted by then. After overnight reconsideration I am rounding my admittedly 2.5 down rather than up as before. There is so much more value in taste and service elsewhere on Pearl. I have had plenty of good European food and plenty of good service in restaurants in downtown Boulder for decades. This wasn't it. It was telling that only 5 tables occupied on a holiday weekend as we walked past many full places on the way here. I will not return .

If you love the feel of Paris, then you'll have to stop by Brasserie Ten Ten!…read more Ambiance is perfectly set up with amazing attention to detail with that French bistro authenticity and charm. The service is incredible and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is incredible and presented like you would expect from a French chef. Not a lot of plant based options, however, the Beet Salad with vinaigrette is outstanding, so there is that to enjoy. The flavors of sweet and salty are balanced perfectly! The colors and vibrancy also made it picture worthy. They offer an incredible wine selection that will suit everyone's tastes and preferences. Also, if you love coffee, their roast is delicious and it's the best ending to a lovely meal. Don't miss this place if you want a Parisian-style experience!

Brasserie Ten Ten feels increasingly rare now…read more Even in very good restaurants, actual tablecloths have become uncommon. At lunch, rarer still. So when you settle into Brasserie Ten Ten, with its white linen, substantial silverware, mirrors, low conversational buzz, and faint 1920s salon energy, you will notice. There's something a little Gertrude Stein about the place: people lingering, talking, drinking and eating well, behaving as if the outside world can wait. It feels slightly Parisian, in the best way. Refined but lived in. A room designed for appetite and conversation. If cigarettes were still allowed, you could almost imagine someone chain smoking over a third glass of wine while arguing about literature or the affair they're having. But this is still Boulder, where the fantasy stops just short of the inevitable side-eye and civic disapproval. And then there is the gauze-wrapped lemon. The first time I ever saw one of those mesh bundles tied up for squeezing over seafood, I thought it was the height of sophistication and luxury. The gauze has the faint sexiness of pantyhose while also serving a very practical purpose. A factory worker's kid like me being mesmerized by a lemon condom probably tells you something about aspiration in America. I started with the pâté, which was exactly the right kind of decadent. I paid the extra charge to swap the crostini for bread, which was absolutely the correct decision. I ate about a third and boxed the rest before things got irresponsible. The Boulder influence...nah. The accompaniments were classic: grainy mustard, tiny olives, and a small pile of pickled vegetables cutting through all that pâté richness. The bouillabaisse was mostly lovely. The seafood was cooked expertly, which matters in a dish where every type requires slightly different timing. The shrimp were especially sweet. I would have liked more cod, which felt a little stingy, and while the saffron broth was flavorful, it leaned more tomato-forward than I personally prefer. Still, between the mussels, shrimp, cod, rouille-slathered toast, and that absurdly elegant lemon situation, the fisherman's stew delivered exactly the kind of brasserie pleasure I came searching for. Service at the bar was confident and relaxed. Two bartenders understood the balance between attentiveness and hovering. Not doting, which I don't need, but every need was met. Real napkins. A dedicated, and attended, host stand. People who seemed comfortable in the room instead of performing hospitality theater. Not an everyday lunch. You notice the prices. You should. But every once in a while, it's good to sit somewhere that still believes lunch can stretch a little too long, conversation matters, and a gauze-wrapped lemon can still feel faintly glamorous. There may be no cigarette smoke, no Left Bank argument unfolding over wine, no real salon except the one you briefly imagine. But Brasserie Ten Ten still knows how to make lunch feel like an act of civilization: linen, appetite, conversation, and just enough theatre to make the afternoon seem...negotiable. Gertrude Stein probably would've approved.

We were there to celebrate, so we split our order across two of the eight stalls: pineapple fried…read morerice with chicken from Chiang Mai (the Thai stall) and Chicken Shawarma from Amira (Middle Eastern). Both were genuinely well-executed -- the fried rice had real char and sweetness instead of tasting like a steam-table version, and the shawarma was juicy with a good sear on the edges, not the dry, overcooked version you get at a lot of fast-casual spots. Rosetta runs all eight concepts under one kitchen team rather than independent vendors, and it shows in how consistent everything tastes across stalls. We were at the main-floor bar downstairs, not the rooftop one, and the bartenders there were the highlight of the night. Attentive, fast, and clearly used to reading a group that's celebrating something. This is the spot for a group with different cravings who still wants to sit together -- one person wants noodles, another wants shawarma, nobody has to compromise. It's not a quiet date-night pick; it's communal, and built for exactly the kind of night we had. We'll be back, and next time we're ordering that fried rice again.

I was expecting a typical food hall and instead it felt much more elevated and thoughtfully designed than that. The way the coffee shop and bar sort of flow together makes the whole space feel really social without being chaotic, and the rooftop patio honestly makes it feel bigger than you'd expect from the outside. At the time, it felt surprisingly modern for Boulder in a really good way. It's also one of the best places to take visitors because everyone can find something they actually want and the quality across the different vendors is consistently solid. Huge bonus that there's a parking garage directly across the street too because parking in Boulder can otherwise become its own adventure.
