She was gentle (as far as hair removal goes) and made my first sugaring experience super relaxing. If you're used to waxing, the pain is no where compared to a Brazilian wax. If you're nervous l, highly recommend taking a Tylenol beforehand. They sell natural skincare products in-house, and I purchased their serum created by Ritual Union (ritual_Union on IG) to use and help with ingrowns and moisturizing. It's full of great ingredients and I'm excited to be using it. If you're into skincare/body care, Lucianne recommended to check out Earth Commons on Springdale Road. They also do events, sell tea blends, and offer holistic services. Absolutely loved my experience and I think this has converted me from using hard wax to sugaring. Title: Disappointing Experience at Organic Spa & Nails During a recent visit to Austin, I found myself within walking distance of Organic Spa & Nails and decided to drop in without an appointment, hoping for a pleasant and rejuvenating experience. Unfortunately, what I encountered was far from what I anticipated, leading to a notable disappointment. Upon my arrival, I politely inquired if they could perform a gel fill overlay on my real nails. The staff assured me that they could accommodate my request. However, the assurance quickly turned into a prolonged and frustrating ordeal. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, not one, not two, but three different staff members examined my nails, each time insisting that I had acrylics, despite my clear explanation that it was indeed gel and were my REAL nails underneath. This misunderstanding could have been a minor hiccup if handled professionally. However, the staff's inability to comprehend my request and their insistence on a mistaken assessment felt dismissive and unprofessional. I had explicitly mentioned that if they were unable to provide the service, I would understand and seek assistance elsewhere. Yet, the situation unnecessarily escalated to a point where both our time was wasted. It's disheartening to encounter such an experience, especially when all I sought was a simple service, clearly communicated from the onset. The lack of professionalism and the inability to listen to and understand customer needs are concerning, reflecting poorly on Organic Spa & Nails. While I understand that misunderstandings can occur, how they are handled speaks volumes about a business's customer service and professionalism. Regrettably, my experience at Organic Spa & Nails was far from satisfactory, overshadowed by frustration and disappointment. My nails look fine. Not great. Just fine. I really want to love this place since it's right next to my apartment, but the level of service is just so inconsistent. I've had one really great pedicure, two that were fine, and two manicures that were really disappointing. What motivated me to finally write a review was my most recent lackluster visit: I asked for an SNS manicure and a pedicure. I was really excited to try powder dipping for the first time. They sat me down with a giant basket of colors to choose from where I felt rushed after just a couple of minutes looking at colors. Then, my nails were pretty heavily drilled. I asked if it was necessary and she said that it was, but I talked to plenty of friends that never had they're nails so severely drilled for SNS. I think what surprised me the most was that there was NO CUTICLE CARE at all; which is the main reason that I get a manicure in the first place. It still upsets me that I was charged $40 and my cuticles weren't touched aside from sloppily applied cuticle oil at the end. As a spa director and someone that has been in the beauty industry for 12 years, I would never let a guest walk out of a manicure with unkempt cuticles. They also waited until the end to file my nails, meaning they were also sawing away at 4 layers of SNS with a nail file. It was super uncomfortable. Finally, I had to ask twice to have my nails cleaned up. There was dried powder under my nails and all over my fingers. It seemed like the girl that did my manicure was new, perhaps. But if that's the case, she shouldn't be charging guests full price for half a manicure. After this very unimpressive experience, I likely will not return for manicure services. Vana is AMAZING. I'm unbelievably picky about my nails. I rock long stiletto acrylics which is of course a hard shape to get perfect, add on to that the fact that I prefer matte finishes and I'm kind of a nightmare client. I've tried shops all over Austin and Vana is the first artist I've found who's not only reasonably priced but nails it (pun very much intended) every time! She did my nails for my bridal shower and continues to make mine and anyone I bring with me look fantastic. Ive managed to wear each fill for a month with NO LIFTING. Seriously an accomplishment given how hard I am on them. She's absolutely worth checking out! read more

I recommend making an appointment-I am always seen on time or even earlier than my appointment if I arrive early. Staff is friendly, hostess always greets me promptly and gives me the color options basket. They have a lot of colors for regular, gel, and dip polishes. They offer you a free drink also. I always walk out satisfied with my dip manicure, nail technicians take their time to make sure everything looks good!! I have also gotten my lash extensions done and filled by Amy-she does an exceptional job and charges reasonable rates. Girlfriend went there with me. Was reluctant to get a pedicure done(she kept insisting) because I thought it wasn't worth it, but I decided to go through with it for the experience, and I'm glad I did because it felt refreshing to have your feet in the water while you're chilling on the recliner thing and have good-looking toe nails. Tom did these for me, ive been coming here since dec 2019 and i always leave happy with my nails. The girls are so kind and patient with my 7 year old as well when she comes with me to get a medi pedi. Tom takes the time know my likes and dislikes and all i have to do is show him a photo of what i want and he makes it happen offering suggestions along the way based on what he knows i like and my job. read more

She didn't even bother offering me antiseptic or anything to clean the cuts. At that point, I just wanted to leave. When I told the guy at the front desk, he said he had overheard everything and apologized for her behavior. He said, "I don't know if she's having a bad day or personal problems." I thought to myself, even if she was, that doesn't mean you should take it out on your customer. The whole situation was bizarre, uncomfortable, and awkward. He told me that next time the manager would do my nails and take care of me. I don't know why, but I was open to giving it another chance. When I called to make an appointment with the manager, the same technician, Su, happened to answer the phone and refused to let me speak to the manager. She continued to be rude and said, "You should make sure to choose the color before you come in," as if it was somehow my fault she made me bleed. It was so strange. Then, out of nowhere, she said, "I'M NOT RACIST." That's when it clicked. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. I documented the condition of my nails and toes immediately after leaving the salon, including evidence of the incomplete work and injury. I attempted to resolve the matter directly with the business and requested supporting footage they claimed existed, but I did not receive the information I requested. Found my new favorite nail salon, Pamper Nails!…read more I got the matcha pedicure and it completely exceeded my expectations. It had everything a regular pedicure includes, plus so much more: candles, wax, lotions, a scrub, a leg mask, hot steam, and an oil massage that honestly felt like foot reflexology. They finished it off with a fresh orange and lemon massage that smelled incredible. For my manicure, they had such a great variety of colors and brands to choose from, including a full cat eye catalog. The full arm massage was so relaxing, firm where it needed to be, but still super gentle overall. The staff were the best part honestly, genuinely kind, warm, and just happy to be there. They even brought me a complimentary matcha latte while I was getting pampered. This is officially my new go-to nail salon. I'll definitely be a regular!
