First, the design questionnaire was excellent - especially for someone like me who doesn't know much about interior design. It was able to identify my design preferences by showing different living rooms and asking which ones were to my liking. In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. After two weeks, she assembled a furniture shopping list, within the budget I requested. I purchased all items she suggested. The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. I get nothing but compliments about my place (even from my Architect friend who is quite stingy with design related complements...). Well done Stephanie! As to the cost-effectiveness of the service - had I done this process myself (even with friends help), I would have surely spent more time, more money, getting worse results. We order over $15,000 of kitchen cabinets July 22nd 2019 for our complete kitchen renovation…read more Lakeville came highly recommended.They were delivered approximately 6 weeks later Sept 10th. The cabinets arrived with minor damage on two door panels and one cabinet arrived in the wrong color. The wrong colored cabinet looked like a return that was just boxed up and given to us. The salesman came that week and rush ordered replacement panels and a replacement cabinet and it should take 4 to 6 weeks. We were told to speak to the warehouse for updates and given a number to call. Fast forward to today, we called and was told that the only a cabinet door was ordered for the wrong colored cabinet, not the entire cabinet, so now we have to wait yet again for a replacement. They have the replacemt door panels but have not delivered them. This is poor customer service in my opinion. We have been waiting longer for the replacement peices than the original order!Aside from This mistake the cabinets are beautiful but this delay is holding up the installation of the rest of the kitchen. It would be nice if someone took the time to call us and apologized for the mess up, perhaps I'd be writing a different review. Edit to add: Our salesman was excellent, in no way was this review directed at the sales team at Lakeville. Darren was excellent in executing the design and layout of our kitchen. We loved the attention to detail he had and follow up with the changes and questions we had. This review is solely based on the delivery and follow up of our problemed cabinets doors from the warehouse.

The measurements were spot on, the craftsmanship was top-notch, and the attention to detail was exceptional -- the kind of quality that truly elevates the finished product. A few years ago, we used a different upholstery company in Ossining that unfortunately ruined our furniture (they'll remain nameless). She has a great eye for design and will work with you to create a room with the look you want. She cares deeply about her work and takes a personal interest in her clients. She wants each room to look perfect and also to reflect her client's vision. Carol is great with color and will deliberate between different shades of white when I never even knew there was a difference. But it does always make a difference when she chooses the color and it's just right. She has helped me order a custom sofa that fit exactly into a small space and found me the perfect TV console to fit in my small room. She has great resources and works with very talented people. She has helped me with window treatments and rugs that work in each room. She arranged for my vintage dining room table and chairs to be refinished and helped me choose the chair covers and stain for the table to coordinate with the rest of the room. She also took my old dresser and had it refinished and then transformed my guest room to coordinate with it in style and color. Carol is so easy to work with and she is incredibly knowledgeable. She communicates regularly and always follows up. The best part is that she educates as she works with you and doesn't judge you. She will listen to you and then make suggestions and explain why she makes those suggestions. She is also very aware of budget and will work within your budget to create the look you want. She assuaged my fears about one color, warned me about another ("This color is dark, but with light cabinets you could get away with it"), and helped me select another color entirely for a different room of the house. All in all, she was a wealth of information and I wouldn't hesitate in hiring her, and I may just do so for decorating advice after all my other projects are complete.
