I wanted the best lawn in the neighborhood and I saw all the good reviews with Organo-Lawn so I contacted them. When they came out to give me the estimate, they said if they could help me get the best lawn possible but I had to do 3 things. #1 I had to do their program, #2 I had to mow my lawn tall and #3 I had to water according to their watering style (called the 1-2-3-2-1 technique). I was skeptical at first because their advice was very different compared to what most other lawn care companies recommended, but what they said made sense. So, I raised my mower height and allowed them to do a sprinkler audit. The first few months the lawn looked okay and I called in asking why the lawn wasn't looking better. The Organo-Lawn rep said that it takes about 3 months to 1 year to change the soil from a dead soil to a living soil and that sometimes the lawn may look worse before it looks better. I stuck with them and 1 year later I have the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood and it isn't even close. Many of my neighbors have asked me how I got the lawn to look so amazing. I tell them about Organo-Lawn, the mowing height and watering. So far 3 of my neighbors have switched from their chemical lawn care companies to Organo-Lawn. I've used Organo-Lawn for 3-5 years, and highly recommend them as they use organic based products. Last year the organic weed killer really did the job getting rid of most of the dandelion field I had growing in my backyard. They also recommended deep root fertilization for my beautiful red oak tree that was damaged by lightening a few years back, and wrapping the trunk during winter months to protect the bark. I thought I was going to lose the tree to stress, but this year it looks strong and healthy! Recently Technician David Pine came by to apply the organic weed spray. He is really on-the-ball, and asked about the areas in my yard not to treat because it was a bit confusing to him when reading the notes on my file. It's a bit difficult to explain in writing, but David said now that he understands it he will update my file to describe it as "stay 6 inches away from the backyard pathway where ground thyme grows when applying treatment" or something along those lines. David also noticed that bindweed was growing in my backyard which is hard to get rid of so he recommended using a synthetic but also non-toxic treatment (Drive) to kill the weed down to the root. read more

Recommended by a neighbor, Organo-Lawn showed up to aerate our dandelion, Mad Maddock, wild violet, clover, weed-loving lawn. I never realized that by being nice to the dandelions that they would take over my front yard and invite more weed friends. The next visit the lawn was treated organically with superb results. So pleased that I continued with an irrigation evaluation. This time the GM Rick came and walked through all the zones' weaknesses, made detailed notes, set the new schedule for me, and delivered that day a detailed report. Organo-Lawn has been one of the best recommendations. Now my son is ready to call them, too, to his lawn. Here's one tip we keep forgetting - keep your lawn's height about 3" to crowd out the weeds. Most lawns are over-watered or under-watered. Get the doctor in to put your lawn back in good health. OrganoLawn has literally saved me hours upon hours I don't have to spend on the neglected, weed-infested yard left to me by the previous owners of my house. Their rock and mulch treatment was like a MIRACLE for weed control, and allowed me to reclaim and rebuild the yard. They are easy to work with, responsive and on time. I did have one experience where I was trying to troubleshoot a problem with my lawn, the tech said he would call me back with more information and never did, but this has been the exception rather than the rule. This last round, Abdiel Gonzalez came out for a weed and feed service. He took the time to find a grub problem I didn't know I had, show me how to find them, and teach me how to determine in the future if that was the issue with brown spots in my lawn. This is a first rate company from top to bottom. We live on 5 acres in Boulder and have 1/2 acre Kentucky bluegrass lawn, large garden, and the balance in native grasses. We had a huge weed problem everywhere and hired Organo in April to help us. We have dealt with five or six techs from Organo, including Jon Dominguez, and all of them have been knowledgeable, caring, courteous, prompt, and professional. When the first application did not take hold because of the May rains, Organo came out and reapplied the treatment at no additional cost. I am using Organo-Lawn for the first time this year. I have committed to a year program hoping to improve my lawn's health. I have never used pesticides on my lawn and it has become quite weedy and patchy over the last couple of years. So far, I am very pleased with the customer service and the technicians who have come out. Organ-Lawn has really taken care of my sprinkler system and lawn, since I moved to Boulder last spring. The previous owners of my house used their services, as well. I love that they email me throughout the year to keep me updated on what I should be doing with my lawn according to the seasons, since the high-desert, foothills environment is still new to me. We are entering our third year of using Organo-Lawn to fertilize, aerate, startup our sprinkler system, and blow it out before the winter freeze sets in, and have been very pleased with their responsible and efficient service. Our backyard was in tough shape, we purchased a house that hadn't had any TLC in a long time, plus our dogs ran after balls and frisbees all winter. A double aeration was suggested, the service was performed by Kristopher A. Kristoper was extremely conscientious about the job as well as the dogs. He pulled all the flags out before leaving and locked up the gate, so I could just let the dogs out. I thought I had my sprinkler system up and running for the season, but after returning from a short vacation, I had some serious dead spots. Paul Frank came out and did a Sprinkler Audit. He examined each zone, made some adjustments to the sprinkler heads, found one broken sprinkler, and adjusted the times for each zone. I took advantage of the discounted sprinkler audit and could not be more pleased. My technician (not sure of his exact title), David Pine, was great. He did a thorough job of checking and unclogging (more than a few) sprinkler heads . He adjusted the heads that were not ideally set and then set the clock properly. He also explained the process to me carefully and completely. Overall, it was money well spent.
