Origin Coffee Bar has become one of my go-to places when I want good coffee and a chill atmosphere while visiting Hilton head Island. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming every time I visit. Their coffee stands out--it's smooth with a nice nutty flavor, and I really appreciate that they offer decaf (something a lot of places skip). The pastries are consistently tasty. I'm especially fond of their vegan almond croissant, which is flaky and flavorful. They have a good variety overall, though popular items can sell out if you arrive later in the morning because they close in the early afternoon. The space itself is relaxed. Indoor seating is limited but comfortable and laid-back--perfect for a quick sit-down. When the weather is nice, there's plenty of outdoor seating, which is a big plus. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, which is always a nice touch. The only real downside is that it can get quite busy, leading to longer lines during peak times. This was my second time visiting Origin Coffee Bar. We arrived around 10:30am on a Tuesday (peak season) and they were very busy with the line wrapping around the small interior. Thankfully it went pretty fast though. There were no tables inside, so we luckily found a shaded area outside. I ordered the Toasted Coast iced latte and added vanilla cold foam; unfortunately I didn't taste the coconut or amaretto and it primarily tasted like chocolate which was my least favorite ingredient. We also ordered an almond croissant which was very good! I highly recommend getting it warmed up! The yogurt parfait was good once again, but had very little granola this time, unlike the first time I ordered. Unfortunately, they were out of sourdough so my daughter ordered the breakfast sandwich with a GF bagel instead (the only alternate option). She said it was just okay, but definitely had too much bread and wasn't super flavorful. We'll visit again, but will keep trying new things until we find our favorites (already found the almond croissant though)! read more

Overall not a bad spot!! Coffee flavor is great, we loved our lattes and the cold brew has good flavor. The cold foam didn't really taste like anything but it wasn't bad. The food portions were small, a tiny burrito and a half of a sandwich for the bacon egg and cheese. The food was just ok, the coffee great. Would try again for the drinks. read more

I came in here several days in a row during a recent visit to HHI. The espresso drinks were good every day and I also liked the breakfast items I had. My main issue was that the first day the line was out the door and no one from the staff suggested how to snake it in. The second day the line was inside and was better. The third day was complete chaos and I literally made an online order when I got there. This was fast, but the food took much longer than the drink. I read great reviews but origins fell short for me. I ordered a mocha latte which was more like a milk latte. I didn't taste coffee and only had a faint taste of chocolate. My daughter got the seasonal matcha and liked it and loved the cold foam. She also said there was excessive milk but she didn't mind it. They had good food options and there were tables inside, if you can get to them with the lines of people blocking them. Once dining you'll have people in your "space". Outside is a better option. While waiting for our drinks someone got a lavender latter. Then we noticed syrup on the back counter. Maybe a local or regular customer knows about the syrups but the menu didn't say anything and we didn't know. I would have preferred anything else other than a mocha latte. Absolutely love this coffee shop, I wish we had one in palm beach, Florida!! The staff feels like one big family working together. My coffee and bacon egg and cheese bagel were so good that I went back a second time before leaving town! The weather was beautiful to sit outside and the staff cleaned off tables for us that were wet from the rain. Wonderful company, people, coffee, and food! This place was veryyy busy on a Thursday afternoon, and we waited about 15 minutes or so for lattes and matcha. The drinks were delicious and there is some outdoor seating available. The parking lot also gets very full here, so I'd recommend coming early. read more

I couldn't wait to try this spot and it was exactly what I was looking for. Stopped in on my birthday for a delicious iced mocha latte. The cups are so cute and the ice is spot on - iykyk. The breakfast pastries were some of the best we've ever had. The ham and cheese croissant heated up with flaky salt on top was amazing, still thinking about it. The moment I heard they were opening another location, I knew I had to check it out--and it did not disappoint! The space is absolutely beautiful, and being located in a shopping center made parking a breeze. I arrived during their soft opening, and there was already a line out the door--which is always a good sign! The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even better. Naturally, I had to order my favorite: the Golden Hour. I'm so excited that Hilton Head now has this gem of a coffee shop. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! Maybe 4.5 stars but I rounded up. Great new coffee shop in HH. Beautiful location with nice outdoor seating. My red eye was delicious. My wife got the Crosby, which she loved, and previously got a chai which she thought was good. As for the food, they have this incredible smoked salmon on bread that is served with a habanero cream cheese. Simply delicious. The overnight oats had subtle flavors and were not real sweet. I really liked them but others might prefer more sweetness. Speaking of sweet - one minor complaint. We came 2 days in a row. They ran out of sugar for coffee on the first day. In fact, I think I got the final two packets. Came the next day, they were still out. The barista said there's nothing they could do and suggested I use simple syrup. Simple syrup contains water which would dilute my coffee. And I was confused. They have a kitchen in the back. Couldn't they just get me some sugar from the back? They ended up doing just that. But as my wife pointed out - sugar is kind of important to have at a coffee shop. Why didn't they just go to the Walmart 5 minutes down the road and pick some up? I'll chalk it up to growing pains of a new establishment. read more

Heard great things so we stopped by to check out the hype and confirmed it was well worth it. Latte, cinnamon bun, Sammy (small but delicious) was awesome! Service was great and place was adorable. My only suggestion is to ask the customers who plan to work remote from your shop to sit in the small tables not take up a booth for hours on end. Coffee was exceptional, indoor and outdoor seating very nice. Staff great. Reason for not 5 stars is that a woman came inside with one huge dog and one small. She stood at the entrance for at least 10 minutes, not only blocking space to enter bathroom but at one point even brought her dogs into the bathroom! I'm surprised dogs are allowed in a food establishment. Not everyone loves dogs and particularly not when eating. Very disappointed that this is allowed and may prevent me from returning. read more

The prices are DIOBOLICAL. The service was good but I personally wouldn't be spending money for a cofeee that's super expensive and taste horrible. We got the cappuccino and it dissapointed badly and the cup size are super small and not worth the 8$ we paid for a 12oz matcha/ coffee. Will not be coming back and very dissapointed. read more
