I can't say enough good things about this place!!! By my 7th month of pregnancy I had such horrible sciatica I could barely walk.... I literally had to lean on walls and furniture just to get around. My dr gave me a referral for this place and boy did they save me! Erica at the front desk was always super sweet and helpful. I had a few aptmts w various therapists and they were all great but my main therapist was Katie. She is fantastic! This girl knows what she is doing and she saved me during the last few months of my pregnancy. I saw Katie 3 days a week and always felt great after our sessions together..... Where do I begin?! Martina and her staff are absolute saviors to my aching back. My OB (Dr. Bohn-- also highly recommended!) referred me to Bebe after having excruciating back pain that began before I was even pregnant. Once I was faced with the fact that I would only be expanding and ultimately putting on more weight, I knew I needed to manage it quickly. Enter Martina. Not only was Erika super friendly and fast with setting me up with an appointment but Martina was excellent in her assessment and worked *wonders* on my lower back in our very first session. I was barely able to walk when I came in to visit for the first time; by the end of our appointment, we had determined a treatment plan and I planned to come back at least 2-3x a week to stay on top of the pain. I've also taken Pilates at Bebe and found that to be an excellent addition to my therapy-- something that Erika made seamless by billing my insurance and staying on top of them for additional sessions. One thing I especially appreciate is that I never ever feel rushed-- every question, pain, nuance I want to discuss is always thoroughly talked through. I also appreciate that Martina and her staff EXPLAIN what is going on with your body, meaning they take the time to TELL you what is causing what and how to fix it/improve it. I certainly love knowing what the issues are so I can keep my OB up to date. I should also note that I live in Silverlake which is definitely not close to Santa Monica and I STILL make the trip over here 2-3x a week because I really believe this place is the best. Origin is the BEST physical therapy place for people who are looking for a more inclusive experience, especially with something so nuanced as pelvic floor care/maintenance. This is the second establishment I've gone to for pelvic floor therapy, and my experience with Origin made me realize there are more and better ways to manage pelvic pain and discomfort. The staff is friendly and informative from the front desk to the patient room, and the way Origin puts inclusivity at the forefront of their care makes it a very comfortable experience. If you identify as anything other than cis-male this Is also a great place, as they really take your mental, emotional and physical well being into consideration when they work with you. They still owe me a full refund for my first visit with them from 2 1/2 years ago, which they collected in full, and did not refund upon getting paid by insurance. I tried to collect a few times, and each time I had to go through the process of explaining myself to a different person, and after an alleged system update and now a new business name, I am not sure I'll ever see the money. My wife and I had a recent HORRIBLE experience at this location. She is 38 weeks pregnant and dealing with a lot of pain, but her work schedule is very long and inflexible so it's hard for her to make appointment times work. We were thus happy when we got a last minute appointment, but my wife and I ended up having to arrive a few minutes late due to her work schedule. Despite calling to let them know this ahead of time, they ended up refusing to give her service because insurance forms hadn't been filled out on time, despite not being told ahead of time of this fact. What was truly frustrating however was that the physio therapist did not show any flexibility or support to my wife who is in pain, instead passively aggressively blaming her for not being a good patient, EVEN after we offered to pay out of pocket to deal with the insurance forms. Overall a very disappointing experience, would not recommend this location or company to anyone! read more

They helped me with pelvic and low back pain during pregnancy and after giving birth, pelvic floor therapy had me back to normal in just a few sessions. I was very skeptical to try PT especially while being pregnant but Jessica is really good at alleviating all my pains. They focus on the sections you need the most and always help to improve your overall well being. The aids are very helpful as well, Cindy made me feel very comfortable. It's very spacious so that's a plus during covid times. Bonus is the app they have so it can track your workouts for better consistency and building on the progress from each session. read more

I was referred to Origin thru my obgyn after experiencing sciatica in my 38th week of pregnancy. They were able to accommodate me last minute and set me up with Lindsey, who was wonderful and really helpful in tailoring a stretching/ physical therapy exercise routine that immediately made a positive impact on relieving my pain. I felt relief pretty much instantly because she was quickly able to locate the sources of pain. She really took her time with me and provided me with a myriad of helpful techniques which she put into a cohesive email so I can refer back to them at any time without having to memorize each exercise that we went through during our session. I was referred here by my OB after having my first child 2 months ago. I've been having really back wrist pain aka Mommy wrist and was desperate to find somewhere I could get in person help. The office is nice and clean. They have taken strict precautions to make you feel safe about everything going on with COVID. The staff is really nice and friendly. Everyone wears masks and social distances when possible. Everything is cleaned well too. I see Anna McMaster and she's very kind, gentle when pushing out the knots and very knowledgable. I look forward to my visits with her because I know she will encourage me to continue making progress even when it feels like I'm not. Easy to make appointments on their website and to fill out forms ahead of time. Payment is saved so it's contactless after every visit. I love that this place specializes in women care during pregnancy and after. I wish I knew about it when I was pregnant. Anyways, highly recommend. I can't say enough about Bebe PT that all the other reviews have not already said (except the 1* reviews which I can't believe at all!). I've had a pretty easy pregnancy, but in the middle of my 2nd trimester was advised by a pre-natal yoga instructor that I should go to PT for the tightness in my hips and lower back. I had also woken up a couple of times with cramps in my calves. All the of the therapists there are really nice and I worked mostly with Sara, who is amazing. All the therapist and aides care about how you are feeling and want to make you feel as comfortable as possible at every appointment. I did to have any more cramps in my legs after going to PT and I know that part of the reason the remainder of my pregnancy was very easy was going for PT consistently twice a week. (Luckily they take my insurance). My last 3 weeks of pregnancy have been more uncomfortable, but I think that's to be expected when you are carrying around a human! I'm looking forward to going back to Bebe PT post baby! read more

Very difficult to get an appointment. They give you the option to be on a waitlist but I rarely get a call with an opening . I came for pregnancy related back pain and Caitlin was my therapist initially and she was great. A few times after I saw other therapists but seemed to have worsening pain after treatment . I don't know if that's a coincidence or not but per my ob's orders I was told to take a few weeks off from physical therapy . I came to reschedule after over a month and I was told Caitlin didn't have any upcoming appointments and if I were to come in , I would have to start with an initial assessment all over and get a referral again from my doctor. I also found out that even though I provided both my PPO insurance cards , they were billing just toward my primary even though my secondary had better coverage/out of pocket cost for physical therapy . I asked if they were able to backbill my appointments to the secondary insurance and they said no and that it is considered fraud. So I've been paying almost triple the amount per appointment even though I provided them with both my insurances from the beginning . read more

I would recommend BEBE PT to any pre- or post-pregnant mom who needs to do physical therapy. It is a place where there are almost only pre- and post-pregnant moms, so being in the same boat creates that ambiance where you feel at ease and you are not ashamed of working out in front of each other. I have been a long-term patient since I have been going here for over 12 months! The place almost became my second home. When I was pregnant in month 7, I almost could not walk due to lower back pain and coming here literally enabled me being able to walk! Incredible! At a certain point, I had to come in twice, so that it would help me make it through the week. I found it fascinating how much it made a difference. I got treated for lower back pain caused by the SI joints and pyriformis muscle on my right and left side. Only 3 weeks before my due date, the improvement through PT was not that huge anymore, but still noticeable. I had planned to return for strengthening my pelvic floor post-pregnancy anyway, but then had to come in for a fracture in my sacrum that happened during delivery. I had an MRI taken that diagnosed this condition. I came in 6 weeks after giving birth and will need to go until my baby will turn 1 year old. I have usually been coming even TWICE a week. My program consist of stretches, strengthening exercises, a massage of the painful area and 10 minutes on ice. During more than 12 months, the entire BEBE PT team, from manager to all aides and all physical therapists have been friendly and welcoming EVERY SINGLE TIME and have gone back and beyond to help me relieve my pain. All PTs are outstandingly competent and knowledgeable. They have examined me in certain time intervals and sometimes this examination seemed more thorough to me than from some orthopedic doctors. Another big plus is that I can rely on their babysitting service, as I do not have family here, so it made it very comfortable to come in with my little one, because the babysitter is also doing an amazing job and my baby girl always has a good time! Apart from the treatment itself, I cannot emphasize enough how much coming here for an hour and talking to the team members helped me keep my sanity and happiness as a stay-at-home mom!!! I always feel more balanced after coming here, because of the conversations and the time for myself to relax while my baby is in good hands. I am the daughter of a physical therapist, and I know what good PTs do. I have been to other clinics that did not help at all. Super inflexible. If you change one appointment then they make you reschedule all your appointments and you have wait another month. It's almost like they don't want your business and seems almost like the PT doesn't care about a patient not getting timely care when their office does not to mention that up front when originally scheduling. Don't believe all the 5 star reviews... read mine and the other 1 star reviews and then make up your mind. After going to BEBE PT twice I'm happy to share my bad experience at this place. The first time you go in you get the best care, an hour treatment and a physical evaluation. But then on my second treatment I was shocked at the lack of care and treatment I received. Read the one star reviews before you go here because this is the treatment you might be getting. For my second visit, the place was over packed and the physical therapist that I was scheduled with the prior week was busy with another client. I was put on the recumbent for 5 minutes before anyone asked me how I was doing that day. Then, I was passed on to one of the girls whom I'm not even sure what her job title is and she began doing exercises and stretches with me still without talking to me about my physical condition. I was actually having a lot of Braxton Hicks that day and should have been avoiding any physical activity. After about 45 minutes of me being there, finally the therapist had some time for me. She checked my back and told me "sorry we are so busy today people rebooked and popped in." If that's the case then those people should wait for the people who are actually scheduled and not take their time. Then she treated only one side of my lower back and put ice on me for 2 min and was done. I got maybe 10 min treatment. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort that night probably from being over strained during the exercises and from not getting an adequate treatment for my issues that day. I called back on Monday morning and the office manager was apologetic and very nice. She said that time was very busy and that she is glad I called so they can improve things and that the physical therapist would call me later. Martina the therapist called me about an hour later with so much attitude. let's just say she didn't really care I didn't get any treatment that day or offered me any remedy. She said "how can I help you, I heard you called and complained about how we do things here." Like how DARE I complain about her. I told her no, I called because I had a really bad experience that day. Then I asked why is she saying "this is how we do things here." She was the one who apologized that the place was over packed and they were under staffed and didn't have enough beds. I told her my issues were not getting treated that day and that the protocol of checking with the patient of what is wrong with them wasn't followed. She did not try to correct what was done but kept on saying how sorry she was she couldn't make me happy like I'm the one with the problem and not their lack of customer service. There was no attempt made to right the situation or offer me some type of apology or session to make up for this. Anyway, I will never recommend this place to anyone. By the way, if you are not a cash client and use you insurance, you will not receive a full hour with the physical therapist. If you are lucky you would get half an hour. They have some type of system where they offer you less when you pay through insurance and they don't tell you. I found out about it only after I called and said I barely got any service. They give you great first impression that this is the best place to get help for pregnant and postpartum but after that you are not getting much for your buck. All Martina had to do is show some concern and care about her patient and offer some sort of remedy, but no such thing was even attempted. In my opinion, there must be better places to get your physical therapy. Avoid this place. read more

I came to Bebe years after I had my baby but was dealing with debilitating SI joint/ back pain as well an injury to my upper back caused from doing an exercise listed on an app. I had spent years visiting other in-network PTs, expensive out-of-network providers and pursuing alternative therapies. Nothing seemed to stick until I saw Martina and her team. They worked with me from my very weak and unstable beginnings as any exertion caused pain. What is different about them is that they work with you adapting to your needs versus having a one size fits all plan. They are non-judgmental, there is no ego involved as you can tell they are just coming from a place of love. Also, Martina is incredibly intuitive and thoughtful and her therapists and aides are not only super supportive but give great game changing cues. I've learned a ton from all of them! It's a very friendly environment, even with the front desk staff with Erika leading the charge. Because they take and bill insurance (despite the headache for them) I'm able to stay committed and come more frequently which I think also has helped increase my results. I recommend them not for just new moms but for any women struggling with pain. read more

Highly recommend!!! I encountered such terrible sciatica pain in my later months of pregnancy that I had to use a cane and then a walker in order to remain mobile in my home and navigate to the bathroom. My OBGYN recommended I go to Bebe PT. I was skeptical that I would find any relief due to the severity of the pain, but I only wish I had gone in at the first sign of trouble. My case has not been an easy one. Unfortunately I also had complications during labor, resulting in more issues. So less than a week after giving birth to my healthy beautiful baby boy, I went back to Bebe PT. I am so glad I started my recovery process right away... I have a baby to take care of and walking and pain management is important! Martina, my primary physical therapist, is a wonderful professional: both a proficient technician as well as being a real people person. She truly listens and is invested in her client's progress and well-being. She custom tailors the sessions to my level of capability and pain management. There is a great balance of progress and encouragement. Every time I leave, I feel like I've made a step in the right direction and come away armed with useful tips. Since my case is so complicated, I've also had the opportunity to work with Katie, another physical therapist, who has helped me with pelvic floor issues, something not often talked about but incredibly important. I am walking without assistance now and continue working on my recovery. I don't believe that progress would have been possible without Martina and her team at Bebe PT. An aside: Erika at the front desk is efficient and a real gem. I'm so lucky to have found this office and I would advise anyone give Bebe PT a chance to help. I think you will be glad you did. I love Bebe PT!!! And hence recommend them to all my pregnant friends or anyone pregnant. Unless you are a woman with a miracle pregnancy with no back and hip pain (I'm sooo jealous), you, like most of us experience the joys of a growing baby in your belly and also experience the strain put on your body as your tummy grows and joints loosen. The solution? Bebe PT!! I'm in my 17th week of pregnancy and have found much comfort in the hands of Martina, my PT and Celina, my massage therapist. I was suffering from lower back pain, headaches, and a knot under my shoulder blade. The exercises that I do in clinic as well as my at home exercises prescribed to me have really helped manage my discomfort and pain. Plus they take most insurances. I am 6 months pregnant and having terrible back pain. I was extremely upset with my treatment at Bebe Physical Therapy. My first consult was fair but I figured it was a get to know you and figure out a plan meeting. I went to my first regular appointment I waited for 15 minutes after my apt. time and finally a therapist who wasn't even mine came over and stuck me on an exercise bike with no resistance and left me there to "warm up my muscles" - odd since the pain in in my back and there was no resistance on the bike at all. I was kneeing myself in my pregnant belly and after 5 minutes my regular therapist was still working on someone else, I decided to leave. I would rather spend the money getting a real massage then being ignored. I did not understand this place at all. I did not have one of the therapists mentioned in the positive reviews so maybe they are better. read more

I am SO grateful to my therapist, Mary, and the staff at Bebe PT!!! I wish I had known about them while I was pregnant. I gained too much weight, suffered from pseudo sciatica and hip pain during pregnancy and dealt with all kinds of pain for months after when I finally discovered Bebe PT. Mary is so patient and humble and AWESOME at her job! She not only relieved the pain through massage and strength/stretching exercises but she took the extra time to ensure I understood how to properly care for my injuries at home and what to do to prevent them in the future. I was also able to have my baby right there in the big room next to me, or in the child care room adjacent to it. This is such a nice feature of Bebe. Today, most of my symptoms are nonexistent and because I can exercise, most of the weight I had gained is finally gone! I definitely have Mary at Bebe to thank for the hand she had in getting me back into a healthy place where I could live life and exercise again--pain free! I will also state in rebuttal to the negative reviewer (she felt ignored on the stationary bike in the first 15 min of her appointment and left offended) that it is absolutely routine to warm up on the bike or treadmill for 10 min, and any one of the friendly staff interns will direct you here or there before your actual therapist sees you. These guys get busy but rarely ever run more than 5 min late. Hormones can run high at this place--I know I definitely had more than my fair share of grumpy mornings at Bebe-- but all the staff is super friendly, supportive and understanding and they always had me smiling by the time I left. We took "childbirth preparation classes" with Madalyn Morris and super happy about that. We learned so much important information that you can't get anywhere else...you can't find out those things at your doctor's office or even online..Very valuable evidence based information and special specific instructions that will help you to prepare for any labor are given at this class series. Also She gives you a handout with some more info and a little worksheet that you fill out and keep for yourself. I found it very helpful and actually going to use my filled worksheet during labor. Also all the poses/techniques during early and second stage of labor are very good discussed and practiced during the classes. You can ask all kinds of questions and Madalyn will give you professional answers.Also she is very good with providing you information that is important for your specific case of pregnancy,that will give you the confidence to talk to your doctor and maybe add/change/ alter some things during pregnancy and your birthing plan. I very much recommend everyone who is pregnant to take this class. 100% worth it. I am feeling waaaaay less stressed about labor,because I know what to expect and how to handle myself. And my husband feels the same way,he is much more confident and I am sure he will do great! read more

I had severe back pain during my second pregnancy that made it difficult to walk. My midwife recommended I go to BEBE PT because they are physical therapists specializing in women's health. I was treated by Katie and a team of other staff. From Katie's first assessment I felt confident that she would help me. She was very thorough and it was amazing that she was able to pinpoint exactly what was going on with my back. She taught me exercises to do at home and she did manual massage on my back with her hands. After only a few visits my back pain was significantly reduced and I was able to walk without pain.
