I went to this center for a 2 week intensive. I had done several intensives before for trauma, and…read morealways found the intensives to be profoundly helpful. In the beginning, Douglas instructed me to pay a housing deposit to the offsite sober living they worked with. I did. Douglas sent an email weeks later (1 week before my arrival) to send a deposit to a different sober living. I reached out which lead to him explaining they changed locations. When I told him I had already paid the deposit as he instructed, he then told me to call the other sober living house to try and get my money back, and also to go ahead and pay the new one. I was in the middle of a conference out of town. He called multiple times asking if I got my deposit back. I finally told him to go address it himself as I had no connection to these places and they do. Highly unprofessional. The check in at the center was strange. Alex and Douglas facilitated. Absolutely no smiles, no warmth, no welcome. Their first question was asking for your id and the remaining amount you owed. The therapist they had me with was inexperienced and insecure. I expressed to Alex that I felt he is somehow triggered by me as he is not able to connect or be present. I shared many of the things he said that showed his insecurity. I found out later he was newly licensed. Alex's response was "All his clients love him." I left after a week. Not because I am afraid to address my pain. Not because the program was too hard. I left because they had me rooming with someone who had recently been arrested for being a sexual predator. They knew his record and still roomed him with someone who was there to address being abused as a kid.... They put me with an abuser. I shared multiple times with my therapist that I felt uncomfortable. There was so much chaos and dysfunction that came from being there. It was a horrific experience. Alex offered for me to go to a different center at their cost. I shared with her the experience with Douglas and how all of it felt like a scam. I was not surprised to later find that Douglas and Alex are married. Douglas has zero licensing in health and wellness , but runs (partially owns) the center and is married to the head therapist. As someone who has been working hard on myself for over 20 years to heal and have had nothing but positive experiences in all other intensives, I say run as far as you can from The Center for Healthy Sex. Until they can present that they've done some work on themselves, can be more authentic, and operate in a professional manner, just run.

I have had several great therapists and analysts over the years, beginning with my teenage years (I…read moream now 48), and I can very safely say with great confidence that Suzanne is a class-by-herself. In addition to being a highly-skilled therapist who is open-minded to many different lifestyles--and doesn't go looking for problems where there are none--one of the many things that makes Suzanne special, is her natural ability to empathize; she is a true empath. Perhaps showing visible empathy is the antithesis of the 20th Century analysis paradigm, but Suzanne is anything but a 20th century therapist. She is constantly looking to add new tools and data to her box to aid her in treating her patients (and looking for solutions perhaps outside of the box). I spent a nearly decade battling anxiety, depression, panic attacks and as a result, I was numb. Today, my worries are isolated to only things within my control, and although life can still be worrisome, I now live a happy and fulfilled life, which once seemed impossible, partially thanks to Suzanne. It is not hyperbole to say that Suzanne positively changed my life in deeply profound ways. If you're fortunate enough to get on Suzanne's calendar, and are committed to doing the work, regardless of what ails you, Suzanne will dedicate herself towards helping find true inner-happiness and teaching you to use the tools needed in order to maintain it.

Working with Jessica London Laed has profoundly changed my life in ways I could never have imagined…read morewhen I first hired her as my dating coach. With her guidance, I found the man of my dreams, built a beautiful relationship with him, and eventually married him. London did not simply help me find a partner, she helped me become the woman who could recognize, choose, and sustain the kind of love I had always wanted. Before meeting London, I struggled with dating patterns that repeatedly led me toward the wrong people and left me questioning whether a healthy, lasting relationship was even possible for me. London helped me understand what I genuinely needed in a partner, recognize emotional availability, establish stronger boundaries, and stop confusing anxiety or uncertainty with chemistry. She taught me how to date with both an open heart and clear discernment. Because of our work together, I was able to recognize the extraordinary man who would become my husband and create a relationship rooted in mutual love, respect, attraction, and shared values. Years later, after the birth of our second child, I began experiencing significant anxiety and depression. The emotional and physical demands of motherhood affected every part of my life, including my marriage. My husband and I became disconnected, our communication deteriorated, and the affection and romance that had once come so naturally began to disappear. We loved each other deeply, but we were exhausted, overwhelmed, and no longer knew how to reach one another. Once again, London became an invaluable source of support. Although she had originally been my dating coach, she was also able to help us as a highly skilled couples therapist. She supported me in understanding and managing my anxiety and depression, while helping my husband and me recognize how those struggles were affecting our relationship. She never blamed or shamed either of us. Instead, she helped us see that we were not each other's enemy, we were two people caught in a painful cycle who needed new tools to find our way back to one another. One of the most transformative parts of our work involved helping my husband identify and communicate his emotions. He came from a family and culture in which feelings were rarely discussed, emotional vulnerability was unfamiliar, and openly expressing emotions was not typical. This did not mean that he did not care or feel deeply, but he had never learned how to put his internal experience into words. London approached this cultural and family history with tremendous sensitivity and compassion. She never made him feel defective or criticized him for what he had not been taught. Instead, she helped him develop an emotional vocabulary, understand what was happening inside him, and communicate his feelings in a way I could finally hear and understand. At the same time, she helped me express my needs more clearly, without allowing anxiety, frustration, or resentment to take over the conversation. This made a world of difference in our marriage. For the first time, my husband was able to explain what he felt instead of withdrawing, becoming defensive, or shutting down. I learned how to listen without immediately assuming the worst, and we both learned how to communicate with greater honesty, patience, empathy, and emotional safety. London helped us understand that beneath many of our arguments were two people who still loved each other and desperately wanted to feel seen. She also helped us restore the affection, romance, playfulness, and emotional intimacy that had gradually disappeared beneath the responsibilities of parenting and everyday life. Today, my husband and I are happier, closer, and more connected than we have been in years. London has been present for two of the most important chapters of my life. First, she helped me find and build a relationship with the man of my dreams. Then, years later, she helped us protect and strengthen that relationship during one of the most difficult periods of our marriage. She also helped me regain my emotional stability, confidence, and sense of self when anxiety and depression made me feel as though I had lost them. I will always be grateful to London for helping me find my husband and, later, helping us find each other again. She did not just teach me how to date successfully, she taught us how to love each other more consciously, communicate more courageously, and build a marriage capable of growing through life's most challenging seasons. I cannot recommend London highly enough as both a dating coach and couples therapist.
