London fog and pastry with custard inside
    Jen C.

Original Coffee is a chain coffee shop in Denmark. We flew in the day before so still was adjusting to the time here. Woke up so early wondering around the city from 5 o'clock in the morning and got so hungry. We found this coffee shop on the go and we absolutely fell in love. It has cosy interior. Several 2+ people tables inside, some the stool seats near the window and few more outside sittings. Loved how clean and basic it looked. My friend has an espresso and I has London fog. They were very good quality I could tell. But the highlight was the pastry we order that has custard cream inside. It was very fresh. It probably helped since we went so early. It had great crispy texture with smooth creamy custard. I know Copenhagen is exceptional with their bake goods so I imagine other places probably have similar quality pastries. But this was our very first try at Copenhagen's morning bake goods and we fell in love!

Pros: affordable, breakfast options, expert coffee brews, pastries, outdoor seating Cons: - If you're in the area and want some coffee, tea, a small pastry or even some simple breakfast items, you must visit Original Coffee. Their service is great, they have multiple brewing options and multiple teas. Plus, they are very affordable compared to many places around the city. We ordered a cappuccino, a black tea with milk and a cold-pressed carrot and lime juice. It was all delicious and we got our orders probably within a minute of ordering. They have cups to go as well, and we grabbed ours on our way to the Kastellet. We didn't try their selection of pastries but they looked wholesome and delicious, we'll probably come here for breakfast tomorrow. There are some tables outside as well so if the weather is great, you can enjoy it here. Finally, it's worth mentioning that they sell their coffee beans, in case that you fall in love with your order.

Service is great, cheerful and polite. I had a Americano and. Slice of banana bread. The coffee was served in a water glass which make it hard to hold. The bread was moist and lot of walnuts in it. The croissants look good. I might try it next time.

Iskaffe with milk and vanilla and hazelnut syrup is sweet but not too sweet. Espresso tonic is refreshing! Staff is friendly. They have a restroom but it is in the back and you need a key. They also have cute coloring sheets and sharpies to play with!

Original coffee is a small chain and this review is of their Bredgade location. The space is not huge but there are plenty of seats and it is very light and airy space so a perfect place to sit and relax. Free wifi and electricity available makes it ideal to sit for longer periods of time. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, no problem chatting a bit about the coffee. The nice attitude is also conveyed on their website where they happily recommend other good coffee places both in Copenhagen and in other cities. The coffee is provided by local roasters Kontra Coffee and there are usually a few (when I visited three, normally between two and four) filter coffees to choose from as well as two espresso blends. The 'normal' is a blend of Brazilian, Kenyan and Ethiopian while the 'modern' one is only Ethiopian. It is nice to be able to do some sampling between the two - I found the Ethiopian more fun and interesting but I would expect the blend to be the big seller. The filter coffee can be ordered as batch brew or hand brew. The hand brew was very well executed and I also sampled some espresso based beverages that were nicely prepared. The coffee is good but perhaps not the most exciting. I was also visiting during a fairly slow time so would be interesting to see how the quality is when they are more busy. There is a good selection of simpler breakfast and brunch dishes as well as sandwiches and some pastries. So while it is not a full restaurant one can definitely get some food here and it is also very good.

This was a great place to study. Even though the place is a little small, once you get a seat you can sit there and do some work. The pastry I got was amazing and the filter coffee was also good quality. My total was 50dkk for the pastry and the coffee. Would definitely come again.

The cappuccino was smooth and rich with just the right amount of foam, while the sandwich was hearty and delicious -- simple but satisfying, with that nutty Danish dark bread that makes all the difference. What stood out most was the atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly and it feels more like visiting a local friend's kitchen than a café. Prices are fair for the city, and you can take your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot that feels authentic and relaxed rather than polished or touristy, this is it. Highly recommended for a laid-back breakfast or coffee break.

We went into the first entrance we saw, which led us into a small basement space with a counter to order drinks, and a little back room with more games. To me, it was a pretty typical gaming cafe - nothing remarkable. We played some card games for a bit, sipped our tea, and then we headed upstairs to leave... but THEN, we realized the actual MAIN section of the cafe was upstairs, and it was huge. There were several copies of each game neatly stacked, and went on forever. Every game you could think of seemed to be on the shelved. They had cute merchandise, too. We were both bummed we didn't realize it before, but I bookmarked this place so that I can return next time I am in Copenhagen. If you love gaming, this place is a must.

It had delicious food, strong coffee and fresh fruit juices that are a must-try. I visited 012 on a Monday morning and even on a weekday, the place was super busy. I was able to be seated at the bar around 9am, but there was a line outside the door the entire time I was there and when I left. Not sure if you can make a reservation ahead of time, but it seems that many groups go here for brunch. The menu is straightforward with a lot of tempting, classic breakfast dishes that are elevated. In addition to drip coffee and a ginger, carrot juice, I ordered the breakfast plate, which had a little bit of everything. The plate had scrambled eggs, bacon, rye bread, whipped feta, avocado, sourdough and a chia seed pudding. It seemed to be the most popular item of the restaurant, and after having it myself, I understand why. It was a well-balanced, wholesome, delicious meal that was fresh and perfectly prepared. Yum! I also really enjoyed the fresh ginger and carrot juice that they make when you order it with the presser at the bar. I'm glad I was able to check out this bustling and popular spot for the most important meal of the day. AVOCADO SMASH... a tad salty with too much feta cheese. Wasn't a fan that it was cold but I know not much could have been done. Loved the micro greens. Loved the pumpkin seeds. Tomatoes didn't really add anything. Could have used black pepper. Very mundane in taste. PANCAKES WITH FRESH BERRIES AND VANILLA CREAM...pancakes are not fluffy or thick but it is tasty! Definitely hit the spot. Loved the variety of fruits provided! Definitely a surprise. CAPP... I love how it wasn't just all foam. There actually wasn't any foam. This was the first and only Capp I had in Copenhagen so I wonder if it's a Copenhagen thing. The coffee was very concentrated throughout. The coffee was lukewarm. A small danish cookie provided. Loved all the varied "latte art". SERVICE: Kind. Attentive. Understands simple English but once the questions deviates towards something other than food or coffee... communication is rough. For example, I asked if there are any must sees or must dos but this simply could not be understood or responded to (because the wait staff was kind enough to initiate a conversation of whether it's our first day in Copenhagen). Ordered taken by staff via tablet. VIBEZ: Lots of laptops going at full steam with folks working. Mixture of locals and tourists (there were luggage's and bags in a provided corner). Loved being in the "green" with the same plant surrounding the room near the ceiling. There are outlets for charging. Small kitchen but definitely lots of folks coming in and out. Located in the city. 13 minute walk to the metro. I didn't have a car so I can't rightfully speak about parking. Would I come back? Yes!
