We were looking for a place for a quick family dinner. OIP is close to where my son and his family live so, it was an easy choice. We each had something a bit different. We all enjoyed our choices. The Italian Wedding Soup was tasty. The eggplant parmigiana was very good. Everyone who ate some kind of pizza, was pleased with their choice. The staff was attentive. Our waitress was so sweet with my grandson. She actually took him on a full tour of the restaurant. He was absolutely elated. This place is a great choice for a family dinner. read more

I have eaten here before in the dining room and the salads are as fresh as they can be up here. Everything comes from the fridge or freezer. We decided to get food from here last Sunday. The cheese pizza is a 1 because for some reason in this area they like sweet sauce. The 20 order of wings were overcooked with the ends crunchy and middle chewy which means they were cooked from frozen. The mild sauce was sweet with a bite at the end. This place has gone downhill in the past few years and I won't return. read more

I came here when my child wanted pizza, the pizza was below mediocre, very thick and tasteless slice of pizza, but what annoyed me the most was that we wanted to share the upside down pineapple cake for dessert which is my favorite dessert and I did not enjoy it! and the worst part that they didn't care, they obviously heated it in the microwave and some spots were hot where others were frozen cold! I wanted to return it and the server took it back to the kitchen then came to me saying that it's supposed to be that way, well it's not my first time having a pineapple upside down cake and I know it's served warm, like all warm but not just half hot and half frozen, no apology whatsoever and no replacing it because we "already ate from it" according to the server. So due to the following three important reasons I won't be coming back and won't advise anyone to eat here: 1. Bad and rude customer service. 2. No care for the quality of food. 3. Price is definitely not worth the food or quality of service. read more

This OIP has been open for quite a while and expanded its operation into the next building, so it has quite a bit of seating and is one of the nicer places to eat in town. The menu is typical Italian food with some other things thrown in. I believe this place served my first New York style pizza, where I ordered two slices and was shocked at how big those slices were. It also had the best cold hoagies I've ever eaten. My last trip to OIP was nice, and both my mother and I enjoyed the meal. read more

This has to be one of the nicest restaurants in Shamokin. The food was good, we had the chicken caesar salad and steak stromboli. We enjoyed both of those items and plan on returning again. I also appreciate the fact that they invested in the building and made things nice. I want to encourage them to continue to invest back into the business/building to keep it attractive and very clean. Shamokin needs it. read more

OIP has pretty decent food, nothing too great but it is okay. The staff is really hit or miss, some are really nice and others not so much. Even the prices are very "depends on what you get" because some things are ridiculous and others are reasonable. Just a very hit or miss place. read more

Went for a late lunch and my mother and I both ordered a chicken wrap and a sampler tray of appetizers. The sampler came out with 2 of each item mozzarella sticks, breaded mushrooms, onion rings, and some other kind of deep fried vegetable for $7.95. My mother bit into a frozen piece of breaded mushroom. So we sent it back and changed it to mozzarella sticks instead. They were ok. Our meal came out seconds after our apps. The wrap itself was very good. Fresh lettuce and a fantastic creamy, spicy sauce. The problem was all the chicken was in the middle of the wrap so the ends of the wrap was empty. If the wrap was put together properly it would've been a great meal. I would go back to try it again in case it was a off day wrapping the wrap. read more

Recently at a local festival, my wife won two tickets for free subs at this OIP or its sister store in Elysburg. We didn't read the tickets too closely, but went in, sat down, and got our subs and a couple of canolis. When I went to check out, I told the cashier that I had tickets for free subs. She asked me in a very rude tone whether I had gotten the subs "to go" or if I had eaten them in house. When I said I had eaten them in the restaurant, she informed me that they "did not take those tickets for dine-in" and proceeded to charge me anyway. She was correct that some fine print on the tickets did say they were for take-out only. However, her attitude and manner were offensive, and it seems quite unreasonable that a free item should only be free if purchased as "take-out." Otherwise, the food was pretty decent, and the server who waited on us was okay. But I left angry enough that I probably won't be back to this OIP; I'll redeem the tickets at the Elysburg store. read more

The restaurant is too nice to be in Shamokin. The place is gorgeous inside! I have eaten here several times and everything has been great. I rented the banquet room for a party and not only was the food great, the service was excellent. One of the best places to eat in the area. read more

Ordered carry out over the Memorial Day weekend. Had two cheesesteaks, a stromboli and a few salads. The stromboli was under cooked, filled with black olives and just didn't taste good. The subs were overdone and on strange bread. Where's the sub roll? Ordered fried onions on them and got raw and they don't have the hot cherry peppers to put on them. Also ordered iced tea, which was said to have been just made. Maybe from a powder in a can. YUK! read more

I got the Fra Diavlo with Shrimp and Scallops and it was seriously the best pasta dish I ever had and I'm not joking. Plus the amount of seafood in it was worth the money. I want to get it again and am hoping for consistency. read more

The dining area was very neat and clean. The service staff were neat, clean, and courteous. This has been my experience every time I have dined at this location. On this particular visit, the entree was chicken oscar. It arrived hot, the asparagus was fresh, and it was edible. Chicken oscar is supposed to be topped with hollandaise sauce. I'm not sure what mine was topped with, but it did not appear to be hollandaise. I am inclined to think it was some form of cheese. Also, it was standing in about a quarter of an inch of liquid. Poor presentation. The side was spaghetti. The pasta itself was nicely done, but the sauce was inedible. Everyone in my party who chose spaghetti had the same reaction. It had that metallic taste common to canned tomato sauce. It was obvious that it had not been seasoned, or modified in any way. There was nothing visible in the sauce to indicate anything had been added to it. The sauce was also watery. There was some dry parsley sprinkled on top, apparently an effort at making it look good. That effort failed, and it tasted much worse than it looked. The kitchen staff at this location is either in need of significant remedial training, or they just don't care. It's a shame that the kitchen staff is not matching the efforts of the people out front. read more

I believe this restaurant normally has good food, but I ordered a regular antipasta. It was the WORST antipasta I have EVER eaten ANYWHERE, PERIOD. Instead of having fresh vegetables, they tasted like they were all sour pickled,-- from the over abundance of crinkle cut carrots to the many pepper slices. It had only several pieces of meat and cheese slices rolled up. I ordered sweet and sour dressing, which clashed with the pickled flavors of the salad. I don't think any dressing would have made this salad taste any better. I now regret I didn't send it back and get something else, but I always hear the stories of what cooks sometimes do when someone complains about their food and I wasn't taking any chances. I would give this lower than a 1 star rating if I could, and I definitely do not recommend the antipasta. read more

I didn't order from them in a long time since most of the time my orders were wrong when I picked them up. Then you could order online, and every single order was correct every single time!!! But for some reason they took that away. So I tried calling an order in again and the order was completely wrong. Sometimes ordering online is not only easier, you also tend to get a correct order 90% of the time. I haven't order from OIP since. If the online ordering came back again, I would try again since the food is good, but calling in order, well there is something lost in translation and I'm tired of eating food that I n ever wanted on the first place. read more
