Very slow customer service. Don't get back to you. Have to keep emailing and calling them back. I was trying to buy 4 wheels and asked if they would take my existing OEM wheels that they also sell. I wanted a new wheel style and thought I might get $30 to cover the shipping. They had me send photos and everything. They took so long that my new wheels were installed (by someone else obviously) before they ever got back to me. read more

I needed a factory model rim for my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid, which run $500 new. My car shop and I were both looking for a place to find a used one to save me some money when I stumbled across OriginalWheels in a google search. I ordered the rim (in "like new" condition for less than half the cost of a new one. It arrived quickly and was in excellent condition. Warning - Products sold not as Described. I ordered an original Mercedes wheel for my CL 600 from these guys for $300 assuming paying $600+ for a new one was sort of silly. Big mistake. Salesperson told me on the phone that they only do OEM take-offs and do not have repaired wheels for quality reasons. When the wheel arrived in Miami, the install shop immediately told me that the wheel had been damaged and was very poorly repaired. Just the shipping cost alone to return and ship a new wheel from Miami in the hopes that they would give me something better made returning it not worth the effort. I now commute 35 miles to and from work everyday with a bent rim, and curse the day I trusted these people. Go ahead and take a risk on a Honda Civic, but if you have a high end vehicIe, you should just buy a new one and not gamble on places like this. I bought a brand new 2014 Honda Insight base model. I really like the way the EX wheels looked so I tried to find a used set but with no luck. If I buy if from the dealer it would be 400 a piece new. I took a shot and called Original Wheels and they found them in stock in their east coast facility. They guy who helped me out said he could get it shipped asap and have it within a few days. I was pretty skeptical because they have a stock image on their site and not the actual wheels and for the price I thought it was too good to be true. When I got them in, they were really good refurbished wheels. Nicely repainted and no dings. The wheels are now on my car and they look awesome. read more

My experience with Original Wheels was excellent. My rim was literally torn open (not just cracked) from the bottom due to some genius throwing out a piece of metal on the freeway right in front of me. A terrible way to start the day. after I got my crappy spare on, I made it to work and began doing some research and called the dealers to get pricing on a new rim. They wanted $400+tax for a new rim. No way I was going to pay that. I looked everywhere and finally came accross OW. I gave them a call and they explained to me how their process works as I did not want to purchase a replica wheel. They were very honest and straight forward. They get wheels off of other cars that may have been in accidents or just banged up from bad driving. They fix them, paint them and sell them. I ordered my rim the same day and picked it up the following day. The rim looks brand new. Of course you will notice it is not if you inspect it very VERY closely, but that's not something I cared to do. This saved me about $200 in total. so THANK YOU OW. I will definitely go back to them if I'm ever in the need to do so. To the previous commentor: You can't expect to buy a Ferrari when you're only willing to pay enough to buy a Honda. The tire shop I took my rim to did a full inspection of the rim before they proceeded with the placement of the tire. So yes, he should do their job and you shouldn't get a refund for the service cost. If anything, your mechanic should give you a refund since he didn't do his job. read more

I demolished two of the wheels on my 2001 BMW 328i on local potholes and needed replacements. My excellent local auto mechanic reported that even second rate replacements would be too expensive to consider. My wife found the Original Wheels website on the web. The price seemed very reasonable, the wheels arrived promptly and are hard to distinguish from the originals (except they're a lot cleaner). My mechanic said they look fine. No complaints. Only reason I'm being stingy & withholding the 5th star is that this is my only experience shopping for wheels so I don't have much to compare it to. I wanted to buy original aluminum wheels for my 1997 Ford F-150 truck. My wife recently told me that I needed to buy them. I found Original Wheels on the internet and ordered the wheels for my truck. I did have an issue with a couple wheels arriving with a small dent on the outer edge like it had been dropped. Original Wheels customer service has been excellent. Ordered 2 rims for my 08 Ford 350 PU and they showed 5 rims in stock. Ordered and paid for them online. Three days later I get a call saying they can't find the rims I'm needing? Happy to find my wheel but, the wheel did not fit due to the thick paint. Mechanic said he would have to sand some of the paint off to get it fit. I called the company before having the tire mounted to let them know the problem. The customer service agent did not know what to do. He said he never had a problem like that before. I had to wait till he contacted a supervisor. He called back and said he could not get ahold of a supervisor. So I was stuck at the mechanic shop. I called again and he put me on hold again. I finally decided to take it upon myself to have the mechanic sand it out. The tire fit. A short time later Original Wheels called back and said it was okay to do the job. A little late. To the credit of OriginalWheels.com, they were willing to expend a little bit of energy to locate 4 wheels that I had been unable to locate over 3 months. OriginalWheels.com created the impression that the wheels that I ordered from them were coming from "their shop," but in fact they came from a credible wheel refurbisher on the East Coast, which was fine by me. Doing business with OriginalWheels.com was smooth, efficient, and professional; Jr is excellent about communicating the status of a wheel order with his clients. The only shortcoming to my transaction, was the wheels that I purchased were described by OriginalWheels.com as in "like new" condition, and they arrived in "partially refurbished" condition, definitely not "like new" condition." The "like new" wheels were beautifully refinished on their front face in HyperSilver, but the HyperSilver stopped there, the remainder of the wheel was not refinished in the same manner, and the rear facing lip of the wheel(s) were choppy/uneven and not refinished smoothly. To everyone's credit, the wheels balanced perfectly, with not one weight, and the wheels did not have any weld-repairs, as I had specifically requested. read more
