When I called an hour before heading over, I was told there was no appointment under my name -- but they said they could order the tires and have them ready in 45 minutes. I came in and was told I needed both tires replaced, even though I only needed one repaired for a nail. Marco said it was fine to mix non-run-flat tires with my existing ones. I did my own research, pushed back, and made it clear I needed run-flat tires -- 235/50 R19 XL -- and that it's an electric vehicle. They confirmed at 11AM. Six hours later, Ernesta told me it was ready. I asked what tires they used. It was 235/50 R19 SL 99H -- the wrong spec. When I asked about the difference and why they didn't use EV-rated tires, he told me there was no difference and they were the same. Then he tried to get me to pay and walked out. I said no. I'm not paying $680 for the wrong tires after waiting six hours. This is completely unacceptable.

They seem to want to upsell you and not just take care of what you came in for and let you just figure out what you would like to do on your own. I also asked for paperwork for the inspection so I can show car dealer since I just purchased this car and for some reason they didn't think they could do that. So strange. I took a picture of their device that reads the tire threads but that's all I have. I don't know how you do business that way and expect to make a purchase happen without any paper trail for people have. I guess I'm used to going to Glendora location, receiving great service, paperwork and good service even just for a patch. Only ding I'll give is that no one was available at the front counter for about 5 minutes, even though I was trying to check in for my appointment at 10am. However, once we did get down to business (was coming in for a free pre-trip inspection, along with replacement of wiper blades, and a set of snow socks to travel through Colorado compliantly), everything was professional and thorough. About 30-45 minutes after service began, the soft spoken gentleman came back to discuss the alignment of the wheels; apparently majority of them were approaching the recommended thresholds and is thus recommended to realign them to maximize fuel efficiency, especially for a 1800 mile one way trip. This cost about $160; snow socks were about $120. Towards the end of the visit, Jorge courteously went to discuss snow chain options (between the traditional chains and the snow socks), and we chose the snow socks (good to have, good to put on for last resort, and easy to return for full refund). All in all, the visit totaled about 1.5 hours, but I felt the value both in time and money was well spent, as I left with the peace of mind that the wheels are better prepared for the long journey ahead. I should note that the fuel efficiency after the visit was lower than expected; however after doing additional research, I found this to be because of the new all-season tires I got the month prior; apparently the new treads ironically drag the vehicle more, thus creating that deficiency. As the tires wear down, fuel efficiency will level out. A bummer, but good to know all the while. Thanks guys!

Second, I understand checking the spare is company policy, but if customers have belongings covering it, please don't place those items especially food on the shop floor.
