I send an email, requesting a refund again, that I do not want the package. They give me more excuses. How they're not familiar with international shipping. Which I find kinda wild when you own a store and make online orders. The purchase was initially made 6/11. By 6/25, I was done. I was completely over the lack of assistance by the owner. No updates. No communication that things are going to be okay. My anxiety is going nuts. I wanted to do something special for myself for the Strawberry moon on the 29th smh. Anyways, I call UPS, the next day and ask them to send the package back. They tell me I have to wait for it to get delivered to refuse it. That the STORE has to request to have the package shipped back AND THAT MY PACKAGE IS BEING CHARGED EVERY DAY IT SITS IN THE WAREHOUSE!! I'm so sick I checkin my emails and this back and forth. Putting my plans on hold over and over because I "might" actually have a delivery THIS time. Email, email, email. This is so annoying and frustrating. I know they are sick of me too. Guess what, I check my email lol today & I get another new delivery date. WITH A $337 IMPORT FEE! I paid $63, for some catnip, lavender, rose petals, jasmine, some candles and some incense. I'm thinking it'll be easy because I live in Detroit, Canada right there. NOPE. I've gotten things from China, London and Japan. Had no issues. No insane fees. No emails from UPS. I was a happy, unbothered customer. I can now call UPS telepathically so today I do so lol. I let them know, I'm NOT payingggg thatttt. Nope. Nuh uh. I refuse to pay that. I was not found guilty of any crime, yet I was forced to pay over $1,500 in legal costs simply to defend myself against a baseless accusation. Glow Fish Studios doesn't feel like a business anymore--it feels like a sting operation run by someone who gets a little too much satisfaction from accusing and humiliating people. I used to shop here often. I have no criminal background. This was deeply traumatic, and it seems they care more about "catching shoplifters" than actually treating customers like human beings. If you value integrity, avoid this place. They are not the small business they pretend to be. Overpriced shit that isn't even from real witches. Their two children work at the store as well, so I was happy to support a famly business. They have chakra and wiire wrapping classes. If you look them up on facebook they provide the date and times. They also provide 10% off coupons often. Their son makes organic himalayan salt scrubs. Their daughter does Reiki classes at the shop. Julia makes a lot of beautiful jewelry and I believe she can custom things as well. They also have dig trips. I had asked about them and they provided me a sheet. The trip to go with them is free, and you only pay for your own hotel and food. They will drive everyone to a particular site and help people find amazing stones. They have a lot of photos online and I have always wanted to do it. They want to make their customers happy and treat them like family. They have many different kinds of large crystals, tumble stones, and medium sized crystals. You can find all kinds of fossils. They even have dinosaur eggs and such. Even if they don't want anything they might feel bad for you because you were so nice. 2) The prices need to be low enough to justify buying something useless. 3) You have to gave good stuff that people want, though they don't need. Also, it helps to have things that one has never seen before and thus must purchase it because they may never see it again. Well, Scout is a nice enough store. The store sells kitch, curios and art. The inside is nice and bright. There are some interesting items, but nothing that I can't live without. Also, I've seen a lot of the same items around the area. The prices were probably comparable but were still pricey. I don't think there was anything for less than $10 or I didn't find it. I give Scout 3 stars because the lady behind the counter was not very friendly or helpful. When I walked into the store she didn't acknowledge me right away or ask if I needed anything. Instead she just talked to a friend for almost the whole 15 minutes we were in there. I was the first to say hello as I entered. Eventually, she engaged us in conversation a little, but it wasn't the friendliest of conversations. Scout had some unique gift ideas and art pieces. Over all the quality stuff was very expensive. The rest could probably be purchased at other stores of a similar nature. I don't really have a reason to go back here.
