You're better off with a local exterminator who truly builds a relationship with its customer and diagnose problems in a timely fashion as well as a working diagnosis. Bugs never truly went away, customer service aint it. It hit a point where my exterminations were telling me about back of house issues and to stop calling for etas or else they are being constantly checked on so then in turn you have poor service cause they are trying to be in and out to get to the next house. Ive been on Medical Leave since October, they have been showing up to my house and trying to talk to me through my fence over NINETY DOLLARS. They tell me every-time they'll leave me alone until Im back on my feet but Im still getting calls, people at my house, and mail all over. The customer service agent "Justin" started to get dismissive and try and get me off the phone when I was trying to get them to stop coming to my house, they are the ones bothering me on a daily basis. Update a day or 2 later: still calling and harassing me, its hit the point Im irritated and they refuse to listen to reason what so ever and instead want to collect on my disability checks. Justin cant do anything but put a "notation on my account" and John the servicer doesnt care what so ever. Hes been reading my messages but is failing to respond upon request. I called because I had a mouse and my year had ants paid over a year and I only signed contract for one year a few months after they stopped doing yards I told my service man then When my year was up I did not want to continue my service. Meanwhile still have mouse so they talked me in to paying additional $2200 and put chicken fence around part of my house and said that that would solve my problem. Nobody came back out I have complained to service manager told them I want my money back. Still have mouse and can't sleep. I threw away my bed my dresser and all my clothes so far cause I heard mouse by dresser and I already took all my clothes out washed, bleached dresser several times and I was sick of repeating this cycle They are sending me bills for service I already told them well in advance I did not want after my contract was up. It has cost me so much money already the reason I called them was ANTS IN MY YARD AND MOUSE AND I STILL HAVE BOTH. Terrible customer service. I received a quote based on my initial call and said that I was goin to call other companies to get comparisons and give them a call back if I chose to proceed. Within an hour, a 1-800 number called me, I declined because I was at work, they immediately called again, and I answered. I wouldn't recommend this Orkin in particular. They don't have the manpower to get out to you in an emergency situation. You'll be from 2 to 3 weeks out no matter if termites are falling from the ceilings & flying all around your house. We made multiple attempts to get someone out and we were told we couldn't get an earlier appointment unless some other client cancels. We clearly explained that there were hundreds of them everywhere we had video and photos. We were told to keep everything dark and not turn on any lights because they are attracted to light and there's nothing they can do for now. 2 to 3 weeks in the dark at night time seems like a lot. I just couldn't believe that they had no one for emergencies. We have contracted out and everything is taken care of now. read more

Don't even deserve 1 star. Not responsive AT ALL. Hired because we'd seen some mice. They charged a ridiculous fee for their service 6 months ago and we still have a mouse issue. Figured since they were going to service our house why not add bug and mosquito? Well neither seem to work. Service provider is never here more than 10 min and as little as possible then leaves. Manager isn't responsive or address anything. Office staff disorganized, makes errors and no follow through either. This is a waste of your money! read more

I'm so very frustrated with the service of Orkins for the past 2 months of treating my Lawn instead of seeing some improvements most of my grasses are dying now. They don't ever bother to visit just to check how my Lawn has been doing after I called them to tell them whats going on with my Lawn. How embarraging my Lawn looks like now and they still want me to wait for more months to see the results of improvement or probably they want all my grasses to die. I called Orkin to set up services in my new home. I said I had an account before and had a balance I was aware of, and would pay it prior to them coming to my new home. I was told they couldn't find the account and it was probably too old, so I was told we would pretend it didn't exist. Whatever. We were given a two hour span from 4 to 6 for the arrival of Orkin. After wasting 2 and a half hours of time waiting for them to arrive, I called to ask what was going on, I was told " oh, due to an old balance the appointment was cancelled" Excuse me. I said I'd pay it, was told it couldn't be found, and to "pretend it didn't exist", and they couldn't be bothered to call me to let me know and give me the option of paying, which I SAID TO BEGIN WITH I WOULD, and wasted 2 and a half hours of time. Then she began to say, "well now its after hours and" I didn't even bother to let her finish, it was probably just going to be a higher charge anyway. I said forget it I will use a different company. That's just poor customer service, not to mention rude. So I've set up a different extermination company to come out, they can't come today, but will be out tommorrow, but I don't care because I'm not giving Orkin any additional business. read more

I have to start with the Orkin pest control expert was one of the nicest person I have ever met. That being said this was my initial visit and maybe the last from them. The pest control expert wasn't an expert he didn't know anything about the ants I showed him. The videos online that the corporate company portrays Orkin to be is not what I experienced at all. He didn't spray the areas around the windows just the window sill on 4 windows, I have 13 windows. I have 4 wasp nest active and he did not spray them or clean any spider webs. He did not look at any plumbing fixtures or even open a cabinet. He did spot treat a few corners until I requested to spray the baseboard in the living room. I should not have to ask to do the job. of course no bait trays were put inside because no cabinets or plumbing was checked. There is supposed to be an inspection all around the home, there was not because I had stated that I have seen Florida carpenter ants around my home and have found a few in the home foraging. With that being said there is a certain way to treat carpenter ants. the pest control expert should have looked for damp wet areas. I asked him to go in the attic he did not seem sure footed so I followed behind him. He literally almost stepped on to the drywall multiple times like he had never been in an attic. i was terrified watching him try to walk over 3 rafters to toss 3 trays of Termidor SC in a bait traps he did not look for bugs like he was suppose to check for. Termidor SC is a liquid wall that kills after contact "IT IS NOT A BAIT" so now I have 3 trays in my attic that are pointless unless a carpenter ant wonders through the needles in a haystack. So I'm paying a starting fee for all this. Here is the big kicker!!! I go to the side of my home and look where I have seen the carpenter ants and the same place I showed the so called expert. There is 2 pieces of 2x4x12 there on the ground, not covered, out in the open, well manicured yard and I use my shoe and push one off the other. ANTS AND THE GRUBS come pouring out by the hundreds or thousands. I freak and begin to spray the big box store chemicals on them as well as wasp spray. Stuff kills everything! after that I began to shovel the bugs into a trash can and took it to the street for trash. In conclusion! If what I experienced today was the 160 hours of training each person goes through then I might switch to Terminex but they had horrible reviews too. He still was an amazing person and with the proper training that I bet he didn't get, just the quick once over, spray here and move on kind of training.
