I am beyond ecstatic to find a local roaster with fresh beans. As a beginner with my espresso machine, this really helps my journey to be more than coffee, but an experience. So many different varieties and very much affordable. They also roast for local coffee shops in the area so this is a great way and connection right here in the area to get your coffee beans fresh. The Italian blend had a nice Balance, low acidic chocolate flavor, which paired well with hot and iced lattes. The young lady was very helpful in explaining their process and also suggested some things for my next future visits. Let's start by saying...I missed the turn my first time. It's on a relatively busy road and there are car repair shops in the same little strip. Determined to find local roasted coffee I looped back and even gathered a few looks at I made my way down the strip. But good thing I did, I found this shop pretty easily. I had to go at the end of the work day and they were just about to close up. I was nervous walking in so late but greeted by multiple employees. I just bought my first esspreso machine and had been taking difficulty with store bought beans so I was somewhat unsure of what I needed but Ital was by helpful. They listened to my whole explanation of how I needed up in this hidden gem and offered a great suggestion. Also helped to demonstrate a good grind and process of pulling a shot as well as a taste to compare up my outcome at home. And offered to help teach me some of the shops drinks of future visits as I get better with my machine. read more

I have been buying coffee from Orlando Coffee Roasters for so long. I cannot even remember how many years. But I have known Gus when he first started out I knew him then, and I know the effort that he is put into his product. I know that anytime I go anywhere. I always take my coffee with me when I visit my brother out in California, my brother in South Carolina, I always take my coffee and my burr grinder. They like the coffee and I tell them how they could get that coffee mailed to them. And the variety, I enjoyed it because I can taste these coffees from all over the world. And I enjoy the coffee from Orlando coffee roasters so much, that when I go out to eat, it's very hard for me to drink coffee because, it's just not as good as what I'm used. Five stars for a large selection of locally roasted organic single origin fair trade coffee (say that twice fast haha). They ship and also have pick up in the Gore st location which is a warehouse surrounded by auto repair shops so it's easy to miss but the guy spotted my I'm lost look and was a great help. Overall, I'll definitely get coffee here again. Pick up was fast and easy, and I've had it shipped for a few bucks as well- occasionally shipping is free with two or more bags. I love the coffee and brew it at home in my ninja but I'm sure it'd be even better as an aeropress or pour over or espresso. read more

We looked for a local roaster to buy beans/coffee while vacationing in Florida. Yelp steered us here and we almost drove past, which wouldd have been an epiC fail! Hubby saw the signn, looks lIke storage garages but once you walk inside, you smell the most amazing coffee smell! We met Gus, and learned so much about roasting, acidity, the whole process of single origiin coffee roasting. Serendipity brought me to Orlando Coffee Roasters, if the results of a Google search can be classified as such, but nonetheless I found my way to this wonderful place and could not be more pleased. Gus, the owner, and his sister-in-law Ruth, treated me with respect and friendliness during my visit, entertaining me with the various aspects of buying and roasting high quality coffee beans, and I enjoyed every minute of the experience. I purchased a few bags of whole beans and brought them home to Oklahoma. OH MAN! This coffee is good! It's VERY good. I've tried beans from all over the country and have enjoyed some fine selections from Milwaukee, Ft. Worth, and Tulsa, but I promise I've not had any finer than those from Orlando Coffee Roasters.
