Not my favorite spot for sushi in the area but it's good! Went in on a Sunday for their lunch specials, but realized they were very expensive for a lunch deal ($16 for a bento box) and didn't have a ton of options, so we stuck to the regular menu. Our waiter was super nice, fast, and accommodating, always asking if we needed refills or sauces. I went for the Sunrise Roll ($11) because I love the acidity from lemon slices on top of a roll. It was yummy, the only thing I didn't like (which is a theme in all of their rolls) is the amount of rice. It's a ton of rice for each roll which I've never seen other places at this price point do. I got a side of fried rice ($3) which was really good. Their white sauce is tasty too. My sister opted for the Beauty and the Beast Roll ($13) and liked it as well. I've come here a couple times and felt "eh" about it each time. It's not a bad choice for sushi, but not something I'd write home about. read more

We stopped in for my daughters birthday lunch. Even on the weekends, they have a wonderful lunch menu. One of my children have a shrimp allergy, and they were willing to make a small sub to everyone's bento boxes to make sure we had no shrimp at the table. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had a variety of bento boxes, sushi, teriyaki chicken, and Katsu chicken, and some Tepan meals- chicken and steak. The steak was a little tougher than I perfer, so I wouldn't order it again, but the veggie rolls I had more than made up for it. We will be back for sure. For all 6 of us, and tip (our server, Maddy was fantastic) it was well under $100 we couldn't believe it. read more

If you're looking for traditional Japanese then this isn't the place to go. The restaurant smells like dirty water and the seats have cheap coverings that haven't been cleaned so they have an odor that you can't ignore. We ordered the takoyaki and it was more of a hush puppy with a spec of octopus. The crab Rangoon was an over fired pastry with a little mushy filling inside. The sushi was ok but severely lacked the freshness. The shrimp tempura in one of our rolls smelled fishy so we ate around it. Unfortunately this spot was a one time only experience. read more

Love the sushi, but the service is hit and miss. Orders have been forgotten, without an apology. Staff sits around the cash register playing with their phones. Today, I went in and sat at the sushi bar. There was nobody there but me, so I thought for sure the service would be good. WRONG. Nobody said a word to me, offered me water...................nothing. This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants to go to! The prices are very reasonable, the service is always excellent, and the menu is... extensive... to say the least. The menu is about 4 or 5 pages of a wide variety of specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri (mostly sushi). The two of us generally get a seaweed salad starter and then split 3 rolls, which is usually more than enough to fill us both up. Of the 4 or 5 times we've been here, we have never been disappointed in our orders, and we always strive to try new rolls every time we come. Another thing worth noting is that this place has a pleasant ambiance. We've been coming here maybe twice a month for the last year. It has progressively gotten worse and tonight was the last straw. Mostly from a service standpoint, but also food. The server brought out drinks and forgot 1/4 of our drinks. Drinks never got refilled until after I attempted to talk to a manger... that's another story. She brought out the wrong soup and forgot my salad. She brought out the wrong meal for my kids. Forgot sauce for my husband the the ordered. Chicken teriyaki was burnt, crab Rangoon was hard- hockey pucks, and the rice was ... believe it or not, just inedible (fried rice). My dynamite roll was cold, and it is usually at least warm w the baked seafood salad on top. I went to try to talk to a manger after I asked two servers to please ask the manager to come over and they didn't. The manager said "that's me- I'm the owner..." I started telling him, and he said, "whose your server? THIS GIRL??" And points to our sever walking by. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. If I wanted to call her out to her face, I would've. I walked back to my table in shock, and he never came to check in on us. I noticed a 20% off on our bill, and yet still... with the awful service, bad food, and the fact that the owner couldn't even come talk to me, ridiculous. We have many other sushi options closer to where I live, I'll take my business somewhere else and suggest you shop around for a sushi spot, too. It's just not worth it anymore. read more

I've been coming here for years, and sadly this was the negative experience that will most likely keep me from coming back. I came here with a couple guests wanting to do sushi. One of my guests and myself got sushi, the other guest wanted to do the Teriyaki chicken lunch. I don't remember what rolls I got, but I remember specifically picking rolls that wouldn't be spicy (wasn't feeling it that day). One of the rolls I got had a spicy sauce on top. It was either the wrong roll (I don't think the fillings were the ones I picked, but I don't remember now). Or it had a spicy sauce that wasn't listed on the menu. The roll was good without the sauce (I just scraped it off). I just remember being disappointed with it not being what I expected. My other guest who just got sushi enjoyed his meal. His rolls and the other one I picked were pretty good, I do have to say. The reason I can't give a good review was the Teriyaki chicken. The chicken had an old and rubbery texture. The flavor was off. My other guest said they heard a staff member say something about a microwave. That's exactly what it taste like. The chicken had a steam coming off it that the other food didn't. It tasted like re- heated microwave chicken. I felt bad for my guest. She ate the veggies and rice that were decent. My other guest and I shared our sushi with her, but we didn't want to order anything else. They did do the right thing by offering something else and taking the messed up meal off her bill. I recently moved to Orlando and this place happens to be across the street from my townhouse, so I figured I would give it a try and I'm so glad I did! My sister and I were sat almost immediately and our server was absolutely wonderful and she helped me pick some amazing rolls! The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there, but it was 4 PM on a weekday. By the end of our meal, the place was filling up quite nicely. I always like to get to restaurants right before their rush because I feel like I get a better experience that way. It allows me to write more accurate reviews on the food itself since the kitchen typically isn't slammed. I got an order of crab rangoon's to start. They drizzled a sweet sauce on top of them, which I found quite nice, and it was the perfect ratio for each bite. The sushi followed out a few minutes after we were done scarfing down our appetizer and I realized immediately that I had ordered far too much food but I was not even mad! The presentation was nice and you could tell the rolls were all dressed up with extra care. The protein-to-rice ratio was perfect and the rolls stayed together with minimal rice fallout. I got the distinguished gentleman, hadouken, and super mexican. My sister ordered the sweet potato, smokey dragon, and chili shrimp. All of them were absolutely incredible. We are saucy ladies and the use of the wasabioli on top of the distinguished gentleman paired so nicely with the jalapeño, steak, and lobster flavors. The smoky dragon was a close second for me, I love the fact that they torch a "smokey" mayo on top! The service was great, the restaurant was clean, the food came out in a timely manner, and everything was delicious. I'm not a huge sushi expert but once in a while it's nice to eat. Checked out Fuji for the first time. Didn't know what to expect from its strip mall location. It's pretty nice inside. Dark, clean, and nicely decorated. A few TVs around which can be good or bad. Mine was showing Spongebob so that was good I started with the mushroom and onion soup which I've never had before. I wasn't expecting the onions to be fried and crispy! And the barely dehydrated mushrooms gave the whole thing a nice chew. Broth was nice too. Definitely will order again over miso. The gyoza was perfectly fried, crispy, and a nice light filling. Dipping sauce was spot on too. Nice appetizer. I got the tuna set. Wow, lots of fresh tuna. It came with tuna 4 ways. The wasabi...wow! That is the hottest I've ever had. Just a dab cleared my nose. Although everything was tasty, this was definitely tuna overload. This would be much better shared between a group. Lesson learned! The menu had a ton of specialty rolls to satisfy any craving you have. Plus they have hibachi, bentos, and main entrees too. The staff was super friendly. I would have like to have seen more sushi roll dinner specials . I ordered 2 California rolls , 1 Valencia roll with 1 Kim chi appetizer the food was nothing fabulous. It was ok. I did not like walking all the way to the back of the restaurant to place my order or get a table. There should be a hostess up front, I assume it is to save money and not have a waitress and a hostess. The hostess was very sweet . This is a very busy restaurant with a decent menu. The front "group table" seems to always be full of birthday celebrations or UCF parties, so the noise level is a little high. I would've had a "group room" in the back. My last visit was just my wife and myself. The hostess said that there were no more booths since we didn't want to sit in close proximity to the boisterous UCF party that was occurring in the front. So we were placed at a high-top table. Not my wife's favorite seat. The hostess was then approached by a few young ladies that she recognized from the UCF campus (overheard "You work here?") and, sure enough, a booth appeared where there was none when we walked in. When I was looking for somewhere different to eat I came across this restaurant and I'm glad. They're renovating as we speak to be better then it is but it doesn't have to do too much. It's a very nice size with 2 televisions to watch as you eat. Each and everyone was so nice and considerate to me. I purchased the Steak Hibachi medium on the steak which was very juicy and the vegetables were given greatly which I love those the most. The music was soft not too loud just right for the mood. It's actually located in the mix of a shopping center so once you get full you can go shopping to build your appetite up some more. Sushi is often better ordered in-house; however, we were very impressed with Orlando Fuji Sushi's takeout! It was quick, fresh, and everything looked beautiful when we opened the boxes at home. I think their addition to the standard polar bear roll was very interesting. Instead of just salmon, cream cheese, and escolar, they also added tempura flakes in the center for the extra crunch. I'm not usually a fan of texture, but that roll was the first thing gone! The tuna poke was a little on the spicy side for me, but I like that it was well-seasoned, and the portion was larger than other places. I wanted to get something quick and go...So I decided to order to go. At the front, the lady offered me the menu. I wanted to sit by the bar to be comfortable to look at the menu, but apparently that's not allowed. I was escorted back to the front area, she was nice about it, but my gosh. There's nobody in the restaurant, what's the big deal if I sit by the bar to look over the menu? It's a little on the pricey side in my opinion. So if I come back to dine-in, I will likely come back on ladies night (Monday) or Tuesday, when rolls are $6. Still more than the current competition Monday night in the area. Now let's get to the sushi... it was GOOD! I enjoyed it even though I didn't make it home to eat it for about 30mins. Usually to go sushi is not impressive, so this was a nice surprise.
