    Crab Rangoons
    Kailey F.

Had a great time with some friends at Fujiyama. There was no wait so we walked right in and our server was very attentive. In the future, I would skip out on the crab Rangoon as they were not my favorite. The gyoza on the other hand were delicious. My favorite rolls I had were the spicy girl roll and surprisingly the spicy tuna roll. I typically get either an avocado tuna roll or a spicy tuna roll when I get sushi, just because it's a classic, and I really like tuna, and no matter where, that roll always does exactly what I need that roll to do. However, Fujiyama really went above and beyond and the flavor on their spicy tuna roll was very good. However, both the spicy tuna roll and the spicy girl roll weren't really spicy. The flavor on them was just good, so I didn't mind. The spider roll was just OK, would probably get something else next time. If you get the Mexican roll, make sure to ask for spicy mayo on the side.

Cute little sushi place. The food was excellent with a good amount of meat on each roll, especially the spicy tuna roll! The only downside was the service. With still half a roll left to eat they were pushing the bill to be paid immediately. I get that it is a small area and tables need to be turned but I ate so fast and was literally being pushed out.

First time trying this spot. We arrived between 3-6p so we were able to order from the lunch menu. The place is spacious and clean. Prices were good. Service was great. They even made some adjustments to some of the food we ordered. We did pay a bit extra but worth it. We tried the miso soup, gyoza (pan fried), the shumai, the rainbow roll, the shrimp tempura roll, the shrimp fried rice and noodles. Everything was delicious. We finished with mochi ice cream. Worth checking out. Wish the light would have been better, but there are some pics with this review.

First time visiting this restaurant! It is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small but very clean. FYI - The lighting in the restroom is very dim. Everything we had was delicious! The menu has a variety of dishes to enjoy from sushi to teppan (basically hibachi). The ginger salad has a yummy creamy dressing that is so good! Everything was perfectly cooked. Thank you for a great experience! We will be back soon!

    Sushi and Sashimi Combo

I decided to come here because I was craving sushi and sashimi, saw their great lunch specials, and it was near my work office. Highly recommend the sushi & sashimi combo for $16, which comes with a choice of salad or miso soup. It came with 6 or 7 sashimi slices over kale and carrots, 4 or 5 nigiris, and a California roll. The 2 servers that we interacted with were quick, attentive and super friendly!

Fujiyama is my go to sushi spot. I've been dining here for over a decade and it's been pretty consistent. The owners/managers are cool. The servers are always attentive and I've never had to wait long for my orders. They recently remodeled and it's got more of a trendy vibe from the traditional Japanese style decor. It now offers added seating without the booths. I ordered a medley of sashimi over sushi rice. It was fresh and vibrant and definitely filled my sushi craving. Compared to the high end fusion sushi bars, it's the perfect place for me to get something I'm familiar with. Their ginger dressing is one of my favorites since it has a yummy creaminess to it. The miso soup has the right amount of seasoning, seaweed, and tofu. I didn't order a lot this go around but I usually get the Teppan Steak, Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box, or sushi rolls. I also enjoy their Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura, or Crab Rangoon when I order appetizers. They always have daily specials available. You can't beat the Happy Hour or Early Bird menus. It is a great spot for gatherings or events, birthday parties, or celebrations. The manager is very open to work with you. It's been a comfort place for me over the years. The price is right and the ambiance is too. The best part of all this is that there's plenty of parking since it's in a Publix shopping center. It's so convenient!

Very tasty sushi at an affordable price especially for happy hour. Great attentive service with a selection of beers and subtle Japanese ambience. This is our favorite go to sushi on a more regular basis than the typically more expensive options

My go-to spot for ordering sushi around UCF! The owner is very nice and the food is so fresh. I've actually dined in once before as well and it was a great experience - very quaint and comfortable, perfect for a casual hangout or date! I love that they do Buy Two Get One Free sushi rolls EVERY Thursday! But keep in mind - this deal DOES NOT work when ordering online, you have to call! I ran into this issue last Thursday and it was frustrating, but they made it right with a free roll on my next visit. Very happy with their customer service and attentiveness to customers! You 100% need to check out this local gem if you're in the UCF area (or travel over here for it)!

On January 8, 2025 @ 1 o'clock, my friend and I met there for lunch. This is the second time I have purchased from this establishment. The first time I ordered to go and spent approximately $30. The sushi rolls and the crab Rangoon were very good. The second time that I attended on January 8, the food was good. It was lunchtime so we ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered crunchy baked salmon roll, and one California roll while we were waiting to order and while we ordered the staff checked on us about three times to me that was a little much give us a menu and give us some time . Let us order and give us some time and then check on us later. The Gentleman was in a rush to take our menus. I would've thought you would've left one menu just in case we want dessert. But since he took the menu we decided not to order dessert. The temperature in the restaurant was freezing. The gentleman seemed to be a little pissed off...because we were taking our time. I recommend the restaurant for take out . The food is good but the service needs help.

Steak and Shrimp Teppan comes with rice, soup and salad as well as white sauce. Bulgogi also came with rice, soup and salad.

Very welcoming from the moment we opened the door. The staff was very nice and on top of our needs. The location was clean well decorated. The food was great and came in timely manner. Only reason I am rating it a four was because I love gyoza and even though it was fresh and well seasoned, it was oily and tasted a little too fried compared to what I am used to. The rice in my meal with the steak and shrimp also tasted oily and actually lacked flavor but nothing some white sauce and soy sauce couldn't correct. I'm assuming it is since we went during their last few hours of being open. Overall it was a great date night meal and I will be returning to explore more of their sushi menu. I saw they have a lunch special, a happy hour and a dinner special (only on Thursdays) so I will be happy to try these deals. I would defly recommend to anyone if in the UCF area.

The restaurant was nicely decorated, much nicer than most of the casual Japanese restaurants that we have recently visited including some in the fancy parts of Winter Park. Nomi has quality chairs and booths! Too many casual food places use these cheap aluminum chairs, not this place, Nomi has first rate chairs. You know it matters, if you're spending hard earned money you shouldn't have to eat on picnic table like furniture. Well, at least I think so... The food selections allow for budget conscious people like me, plus there are other items on the menu if you're looking to splurge, which I bet are amazing. We had a mix of appetizers, shrimp tempura and sushi rolls -everything was great! The place is located in East Orlando at the end of 408, just off E. colonial. There is usually only minimal traffic in this area, and Nomi had plenty of parking out front. We all agreed, Nomi will be our go to place for casual Japanese dinners.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!
