She would come to our house for his sessions, which was convenient but also productive for him being in his "safe place." She not only made great progress but left us with "homework" so we could work with him outside of therapy to accelerate his progress. At my daughters 18 month check up with her pediatrician, it was recommended that she received a…read morephysical assessment by an OT since she still wasn't walking independently yet. We are self paying patients, so I was able to choose my place of therapy. In my search, I was looking specifically for Pediatric Therapies, and also one that was located close to my house. I found TLC Pediatric Therapies and after calling them and sending our referral, we were seen the next week. They had asked if we were looking for in home treatment or in a facility, and I chose facility. They offer physical and occupational therapy. This place is easy to find using GPS, and there is plenty of parking. Upon entering the facility, I noticed right away the cool circular (non florescent!!) lights, a sizable seating area, and a small section with activity cube toys, child sized seating, a tv playing Mickey Mouse cartoons, and two touch screen interactive game tablets on the opposite wall. There are also two more TVs in the larger seating area playing Mickey Mouse and HGTV. I arrived a few minutes before our scheduled appointment, and we were seen within five minutes. We met with Kelly, who assessed my daughter and answered my questions and concerns and assured me of things we were doing. There are several rooms in the facility including two larger rooms designed for sensory and physical activity. The sensory room has a ball pit, a circular swing, a bubble machine, mini trampoline, various puzzles and toys, and a really neat interactive light wall. The physical activity room includes a set of steps, a rock climbing wall and rope, mats, and a medical table. These are "common" rooms, and several patients and therapists at a time may be in there. There are also smaller rooms for more privacy. We have been visiting this place for a few weeks now, and my daughter has been showing improvement ! The therapists are friendly and professional and have good bedside manner. We will continue our sessions here until we feel we are all good to go.

I'm just gonna start this one off right away and say: I am not a fan. Two stars... Why? Why not…read moreone? Well, nothing "happened" but it's an overall observation on their operation as a whole. We dealt with one therapist at speak easy solutions and he was ok, scattered and unprepared, but in his defense the scheduling is absurd! Patients are scheduled every :30 minutes which obviously leaves no time to take notes on the session before you move on to another patient. No one remember that much specific information over the entire course of the day. It's not possible. I've had two of my children speech therapy over the last eight years, so I've been through the hoops more than once with this. Or as they say not my first rodeo! Speech evaluations in the past have taken anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to complete and required an additional 1 to 2 weeks for a report to be scored and generated. When I took my son to speak easy for his first visit the amount of time scheduled for the evaluation was 30 minutes... Yes 30 minutes. OK fine so maybe he had some insight from previous reports, but 30 minutes isn't much time to even establish a rapport with a kid. So, basically the place seems like a machine that just chews through therapists. Everyone looked pretty young that worked there and they all unquestionably looked completely worn down and overworked. We shall continue looking for a quality therapist. The scheduling is impossible to provide adequate care, especially when your co-pay is $40. I wouldn't send any of my friends there and we certainly won't return either.

They said they will call the new insurance company and let me know how much is cover. Fast forward two months later they didn't verify anything. When I called speakeasy solutions, they said their front desk person left so they were really behind. Regardless, it's bad excuse, especially when it comes to children's disabilities.

When my son started here at LIFESKILLS Therapy he was very late in his speech; almost 4 and still…read morenot talking. My boy is now 6 1/2 years old and is able to speak in short sentences and is holding his own in Kindergarten. In OT he has become much better with his eye-hand coordination. The therapists here are very patient and genuinely care about the children that receive services here. I found all the staff supportive, caring , and invested in my 2 children. They are willing and capable of communicating to their families, schools, and any other staff that the children work with outside of the clinic.
