I looked on Yelp mobile after returning for my run, and this was the first spa on my list. It was 6 blocks from my hotel - or a 2 minute uber ride. Located in the basement of the Plaza Hotel, I felt like I was going to some venetian oasis. I noticed that besides the massage and skin care areas, they also provide manicure and pedicure. Side note: The elevator down to the spa is by their restaurant, which at least their brunch looked droolworthy for my next trip. I filled out a form upon sign up detailing where I needed more work (lower back & legs), whether I've had massage before, etc. Jae, my massage therapist, checked out a few spots and offered their added option for a different massage lotion for my sunburned back. I wasn't too bad and continued with the regular one. The rest..I drifted off to LaLaLand and woke up refreshed with no muscle soreness and calm enough with the forthcoming flight delays. The best I've ever had in my life" The communication leading up to the day was great, one of the massage therapists had to call out sick so they made sure we were ok with the substitution. They are located in a shared office building, it was a little confusing finding them at first but easy enough :) The waiting area has a comfortable seating spot and calming music playing. They offered us drinks while we filled out the intake forms. The massage room was very clean and they both asked us details about what we were looking for, any pain spots, how much pressure we liked. I have a broken clavicle and she was great dealing with it during the massage, never any discomfort :) The massages were a perfect way to end our mini vacation. Extremely relaxing. Then just today at 631am they charged my credit card the amount of 59.99 unauthorized and I don't even had my massage service done. I called their number but they put my number in an answering machine. This morning at 1005am got a call from a person named Hannah telling me that if I don't want to use the VIP membership offered I need to cancel so I said I don't want it just reversed my charges then she said she can't do anything unless I signed the cancellation form she will send to my email and I cancelled my membership but after signing I got an email saying they are not going to reverse/refund the charges. She even insisted that I signed the contract which I am not aware of because I clearly remember, the lady at the front desk never mentioned about contract and auto-charge every month, she just told me to fill up another form of my information for record purposes and I even told her I already filled out same form but she insisted that I should fill out another one and I trusted I just filled it out. She tried to convince me the VIP because she said I couldn't use the Groupon anymore. If she had mentioned about contract and auto charges I would never take the massage service.

I had a tough time finding a job in Florida; however found a job in my home state of California 2 months later. I had to move in a week and remembered I had the Groupon massage certificate. Turns out this is a one woman operation and she is booked until June. She told me there's no way she can squeeze me in her schedule because she is a person company. She told me to get in touch with Groupon for a refund. Groupon said they can do nothing and suggest I give it to a friend as I purchased the Groupon more than three days ago.
