As a woman, car service places don't always make you feel respected or fully informed, and sometimes it can feel like people are just trying to take your money. That was not the case here. Hector and Crystal were honest, patient, and genuinely caring. Hector even helped me reset all of my sensors, and they were able to locate a nail in my tire after I mentioned my tire sensor kept going off but I couldn't find the problem. Their customer service goes above and beyond, and I'm always thankful for their help. This is the location my family will continue to trust and return to.

I had a very complicated electrical problem, and Orozco didn't hesitate to take the time to solve the issue. I met with the mechanic working on the van; he was familiar with older Toyotas and was able to point out the issue with just a pre-work inspection. I must also say that although it took them longer than we had initially agreed to, they were more than willing to stick to the prior deal, and I was not charged. I am going to be bringing my 2002 Subaru Forester Sport Utility to them to get some kinks out that I'm experiencing. I now have a favorite mechanic, who's fast, honest, and friendly! No matter how far away you are, Orozcos is worth your time, and I can guarantee that after speaking with a few of the mechanics and being in constant communication with the managers, your car will be in the best of hands. My first time here I had a great chat with Joe and every time I visited since he remembered where I was from and asked how our other vehicle was. His son, Adam, was equally friendly and ran the shop really efficiently always taking the time to explain diagnosis, recommendations and show us parts that were replaced. Now, there is a gentlemen running the front desk called Augustine and all this has changed. Our vehicle was back in the shop for an on-going check engine light related to a leak in the evap system, Augustine called me to tell me they had diagnosed 3 separate sensors that were all faulty and needed replacing. 2 of these had already been replaced by this shop last year when this engine code first started. When I asked him to explain the 3rd sensor to me he was either unwilling to or unable to, I asked because it sounded very similar in name to one of the others and wanted to verify which one had already been replaced. I ended up having the other 2 replaced under warranty and plan to find another shop for our repair needs now. Additionally, when Augustine called me to let me know my vehicle was ready I asked what time they closed. He told me 4:30pm (despite their advertised hours saying 5:00pm). I left work early to drive my wife to the shop to collect the car, arriving at 4:25pm only for the shop to be locked up and no one there. When I asked Augustine about this the following say he said he thought I would probably be coming the following day and "it was getting late". I asked if it would be possible to speak with Adam and he told me that Adam doesn't work there anymore. I asked whether the shop had changed hands and he insisted that Joe is still in charge, although when I asked when it would be possible to talk to Joe I was told that he wasn't available and he just "randomly drops in". I'm sorry to see the customer service and professionalism decline at this shop but having older vehicles, we have to trust that the the mechanics working on our vehicles and the shops we take them to are giving us all the information and the correct information. It no longer feels that way at Joe's

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

Your friend has done you a great service in recommending us to you. At Orozco's Auto Service we perform a 30 point inspection on every vehicle that comes into the shop, every time it comes into the shop. Many customers are surprised to find out that they have not been told about the true condition of their vehicle and in essence have not been maintaining their vehicles properly. The process we use in the long run will save you money and give you valuable information to help you make comprehensive decisions within your budget over time. Our inspection is done at no cost to the customer and is done by an ASE certified master technician. What you did not mention is that the $2,000 of recommended repairs would have been broken down into categories for you. This is another service that we provide to all our customers. The inspection and estimates are broken down in the following way. We address the main concern or the reason the vehicle was brought in first. In your case it was due for an oil change, but in many cases the problem could be more complicated. The estimate(s) will be made to address the concern and discussed with you. The customer makes their own decision based on the information that we deliver. Imagine if we had done the oil change and not told you that there was for example a coolant hose that needed replaced. You go on your way and two days later you overheat and end up getting towed back in. I bet you would be saying why didn't someone tell me about this! By the way if you did the preventative repair of fixing that hose, the bill would obviously be minor compared to the damage caused by overheating your engine. The second category is safety again if you come for an oil change, but your brakes are malfunctioning you may want to take immediate action. John, you can see that safety and maintenance are the key to extending the life of your vehicle, its systems and components and even you or your family. All safety items are discussed and presented to the customer. Some shops do not inform their customers of anything but the concern, mainly because they are afraid of scaring them with a big bill or they may not have the proper training to check all of the systems of your vehicle. It is true, we are different and that is why we stand out as the most trusted shops in Long Beach. Think of as your full service shop. We offer a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on our parts and labor all of our equipment is up to date. The tech's that work for us are sent to continual training and hold the ASE certifications. The highest level of training available is a master technician. Back to the inspection process. The next category is maintenance, all the information is documented for you and is measured by industry standards and or scientific testing when applicable. Maintenance can be due as per mileage or we may inform you of a condition status and let you know when something is coming up, so that you can plan ahead for recommended repairs. The final category is optional items. We do a few extras like headlight restoration and a mist service which cleans out the HVAC system of your vehicle (great for allergy sufferers) To address the radial play in your idler arm one must have the vehicle on a hoist releasing the tension on the arm. Many vehicles have a 0 tolerance for what is called radial play. If you took your vehicle to another mechanic and he or she did not find the same play or any of the other recommended repairs, then I believe that you have a technician who is unqualified to work on any vehicle period. Bring your vehicle and the mechanic to our shop and we will show him all the findings and we will film it live and publish the results on the internet for all to see happily!! I recently had a rather unsatisfactory experience with Orozco's Automotive Service, and I wanted to share the details for anyone considering using their services. My husband initially took our Jeep there because it was overheating. We paid $99 for an analysis, which seemed fair at first. Joseph, the person handling our case, followed up with a recommendation for an oil coolant replacement. We agreed on this, and a contract was drafted, stating the work would cost $599 to remove parts and fix the issue. However, the situation quickly escalated. After two days, we were informed of a more severe problem: a blown head gasket, which would cost around $7,000 to fix. Naturally, this was a shock to us, so my partner and I visited the shop to get more information. We decided against proceeding with the expensive repair and instead instructed Joseph to do the bare minimum to get the Jeep running again. We made it clear that we wanted regular updates and that no additional parts should be installed or removed without our approval. Unfortunately, communication became a significant issue. Joseph's attitude raised several red flags due to his unprofessionalism and tendency to interrupt us. However, we eventually reached an agreement. Despite that, days turned into an entire week, and we received no updates while our Jeep sat in the lot for ten days. Additionally, the Jeep was leaking gas, creating a hazardous situation for the towing company that helped us get the vehicle back to our home in San Diego. As it stands, Joseph's conduct left us with either a junk vehicle or one that will require many thousands to repair. Our experience at Orozco's Automotive Service was, regrettably, negative. While each experience may vary, I believe it's important for potential customers to be aware of our situation when considering their options. Excellent service performed promptly. The culture of this business is to maintain a vehicle (be proactive) in order to avoid mechanical issues that cost a great deal more than repair. Benjamin Franklin said "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," and Orozco's Auto Service personifies this mentality about taking action when something is manageable. I personally know how much this company embraces management development of it's team as well as ongoing training for their technicians. That's why I switched my business from the manufacturer to Orozco's. Employees that are invested in are happier than those employed by organizations that don't perceive their employees as assets. Great company, excellent service, priced fairly for what the customer gets. You can pay now or you can pay later - but you are going to pay. I purchased a set of new tires from a tire dealer for my '17 Volvo XC60 and the Tire Pressure Monitoring system kept indicating that all four tire were low. I didn't have a Volvo mechanic at the time so I contacted Orozco's Auto Service and scheduled an 8am appointment for Thursday, August 12, 2022. The service mechanics were extremely friendly and very knowledge.able about the tire issue. Everything was taken care of and I was very surprised that someone updated the "Infotainment System" which I couldn't figure out ever since I've had the car. Now I truly appreciate the unique features of my car and the cost of the services was very reasonable. This is a First Class Business. everything is super clean. I am fortunate to have Orozcos Mechanics to work on my car. This week I had my oil Changed, Coolant Flush, Brake Fluid cleaned, and Gas line cleaned with a special detergent. Eddie my Car Service Representative impressed me when he said let me check with the mechanic to confirm that he turned off the oil change sensor. I said Eddie I can do it I know how to reset it. I had a very complicated electrical problem, and Orozco didn't hesitate to take the time to solve the issue. I met with the mechanic working on the van; he was familiar with older Toyotas and was able to point out the issue with just a pre-work inspection. I must also say that although it took them longer than we had initially agreed to, they were more than willing to stick to the prior deal, and I was not charged. I am going to be bringing my 2002 Subaru Forester Sport Utility to them to get some kinks out that I'm experiencing. I now have a favorite mechanic, who's fast, honest, and friendly! No matter how far away you are, Orozcos is worth your time, and I can guarantee that after speaking with a few of the mechanics and being in constant communication with the managers, your car will be in the best of hands. I took my Bmw E92 M3 for inspection after buying it pre-owned to find out for any leaks and general…read morecheck up. I told them that I saw possible leak on the oil drain plug. Report showed leaking drain plug and needs new rear brakes and differential service. I let them replace the drain plug and differential service. When I got home, I still noticed oil leaks. I paid another shop for inspection ( bmw specialist) They found leaks on the air separator and oil filter housing. I had leaks resolved at the same shop. They also showed the error ( ghost code for the alternator) which they cleared. Did not get any obd testing result from Euro car masters. I am just disappointed for Euro car masters did not do a thorough inspection. I feel like they are more focused on replacing brakes, oil change and regular maintenance. I live near the shop but won't go back there anymore.

They kept me for two hours, tried to align my car three different times, and even sent me off saying everything was good--only for my car to immediately pull hard to the right. I had to go back, and in the end, they just refunded me because they couldn't complete the job. After that disappointment, I went online to find another alignment shop and came across Trust Alignment in Long beach. From the moment I spoke with them, I felt reassured. I explained my situation, and they understood right away. They told me to come by, promised to check everything out, and even said they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't fix it. Sure enough, they did the job right and my car has never driven better. The difference is night and day. These guys really live up to their name. I truly trust them, and I'd recommend Trust Alignment to anyone who wants their car done right the first time.
