I visited the store a couple of more times over my trial period to re-try the FIRM version of what I bought. It was more of a peace of mind and to see if I would be even more comfortable (slightly greedy) on the FIRM than the MEDIUM I bought. I was a bit conflicted because for "health purposes" I was trying to transition sleeping on my back more in spite of being predominantly a side sleeper by nature. In the end, I found that I was comfortable with my MEDIUM whether I was on my side or my back. If I were predominantly a back sleeper, I feel the FIRM would have won out and been the best fit because neither mattress is super firm. I think my MEDIUM is truly a "medium", but their FIRM is more of a "medium firm" because of the memory foam. However, since I am still a 70% or 80% side sleeper, I made the right call with purchasing the MEDIUM. I had the wife photograph me on my side to evaluate my spinal alignment with their included pillows. It was on point. I returned to the store and tried the firm and the MEDIUM, where my spinal alignment was evaluated by the sales associate and with the MEDIUM it was a good fit for side or back sleeping. As a result, I took no further action. The pillows are excellent and hold their shape very well, but some pile will shift, but I flip them a few times throughout the night to ensure they are supporting my neck consistently throughout the night. I did read online that hybrid mattresses can take longer to break in and thus you may not know until 30-60 days or more whether the mattress is a good fit. I did find this to be true. I do recommend you follow their guidance with the rotation schedule for the mattress which is necessary for warranty and ideal comfort. And add a quality waterproof wrap mattress pad for warranty and protection. Even with the wrap mattress pad on I did not find "heat" to be an issue, I assume due to the design with cooling layers etc. built in. I communicated with Cliff a couple more times via text and in-person and he was as great after the sale as he was before the sale. I had to get rid of everything and move to my daughters in order to have radiation for my cancer, which was completed 6 months ago. It was time for me to move out and I found a place, but needed a new mattress. I explained to the manager of this Ortho Mattress store that I needed a firm bed and I liked sleeping cool, plus I was under time constraints, as I needed the mattress within several days. She showed me only two mattresses within my budget. When I hesitated, she threw in free delivery. I've had it a little over 2 months and It is anything but firm. I wake up in a sweat with the sheets sticking to me and can still see the indentation where my body was. Keep in mind I'm 5'2" and wear a size small/medium for women. I went into the store and they would not take it back, but would give me a credit towards another, BUT HERE IS THE RUB!....... I would have to add/spend $700.00 to $9,000 more, which I just can't afford. i'M ALMOST 79. No complaints about the store's sale staff, but ask more questions and how many other choices they have in that price range! read more

I chose Ortho Mattress Company as it is a long standing company with a very good reputation . I went into their Laguna Hills show room in Dec 2025 . The sales associate was Leah. She asked me amany questions and I intern asked her many questions. Leah has a great personality, she is quite knowledgeable. She let me lay on the mattresses and try them out to see what was best for me. I have had the bed at home for almost 2 weeks now and it is great . Do not buy a cheap bed in bag . Purchased a $2,000 Queen mattress that was on sale for $1,000 Labor Day. Most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on . Sagged almost immediately. They have a return policy but you have to purchase equal value or higher. So if I decide to exchange my mattress during off sale time I'm either gonna get a lesser value mattress or have to pay more and hope a get a better mattress. So disappointed read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! One of the most unscrupulous businesses I've ever encountered. They're happy to sell you products with their "25 Year Best In-Class Warranty," but when the legs snap off and the bed collapses under you in less than 3 years, that "Full Warranty Coverage" is quickly voided. They'll charge you $65 dollars to come out and inspect the damage, you'll chat with their inspector (nice guy) who tells you that they see broken legs like this all the time, and then you'll be told by their inept customer service department (thanks for nothing Christian Nunez) that their own inspector doesn't know what they're talking about and you'll inevitably be blamed for breaking the product yourself, which conveniently exempts them from covering it under warranty. While they'll refuse to repair your defective product under warranty, they'll actually offer to sell you another defective product at a discounted rate! Do yourself a big favor and find a different company that makes high quality products, or at the very least a company that's willing to stand by the warranty of their low quality products. Update for Christian Nunez: As I clearly stated to your customer service department MULTIPLE times, and as is clearly seen in the photos, the legs were found broken BEFORE the bed was ever moved for flooring replacement (hence why it's sitting on the old carpet and not the new hardwood). My wife and I can't lift this adjustable base ourselves, and the photos I took are time stamped (April 15) days before the new floor installation began when the base was moved, so while blaming your customers for defective products in order to void their warranties is your company's policy, that doesn't make it what actually happened. New legs aren't going to solve the problem when the place the leg attaches to is what's broken. Your company sold me an adjustable base that can't handle the task of holding up a mattress without its legs snapping off. That's either a defective product or a major design flaw, neither of which are the fault of the consumer. read more

Quite frankly I never thought I'd be buying a mattress that cost over $4000. I simply decided that my back was worth it. Just four years ago I had bought a Chinese made mattress from a local store called Discount Mattress Lady. They sold me a foundation and a mattress that lasted about a month. I had them come remove the defective mattress and they replaced it with a higher end model from M Lily that soon began to break down as well. I probably would have gotten rid of this piece of junk had it not been for the recent pandemic. With the end of the pandemic and my screaming back, I marched into my local Ortho store and bit the bullet on an Aireloom mattress. No unwrapping a box and unraveling a mattress that slowly blows itself up into shape. Just a really well made product that looks and feels like quality. My thanks to Derrick and Ella at the Laguna Hills Ortho store for their painless solution to my sore back! Update: after three weeks I found the new Aireloom mattress uncomfortable due to the many tufts and buttons on the mattress top.
