I have a very complex case and Marisa took her time with me and never gave up. Unfortunately Marisa is no longer going to be there so when I went to switch therapists to a specific one Shey told me I couldn't and had to go with a PTA. I explained due to my surgical history and complex case I wanted an actual PT specifically the one I had named and she told me no again due to him having no openings. I told her then I was going to go to a new physical therapy place and she said ok. I don't think this is how you should treat patients that come to your facility at all. I looked up this therapist openings and sure enough he had one the very next day and multiple in two weeks. It's very sad that this is how they decided to treat their patient. On top of dealing with all my medical issues to also deal with rude customer service. Attached you can see all the appointments Shey claimed weren't available. To clarify: I was told the provider was not available at all. I clarified that with them because I didn't mind waiting for the person I wanted to be treated by. My Pt had recommended to this specific one not the one suggested by you or your front desk team. I never once said a PTA was bad but due to my situation I wanted someone who has been working longer and has the experience and has specifically worked on my case. Also I did not leave abruptly I was in live athletics for about 20 minutes following that conversation. There was plenty of time for an in person conversation.

Evan Sharpshair, the assistant director, and PT, DPT, was friendly, personable and overall, amazing. He took the time to properly assess my injury and discussed what he could do, and the type of exercises he thought I would need. The exercises changed from session to session as he monitored/assessed my progress on a weekly basis. He answered each and every one of my questions with thoughtful responses. Upon completion of my twelve sessions I was given a list of exercises I could continue doing at home. After a few sessions he admitted we weren't making much progress and he suggested I contact Jennifer. At the first visit she took careful measurements of my leg from the knee down to the foot. And then we went through daily treatments that involved stimulating the lymph system and wrapping the lower leg in bandages. After a week my calf circumference was reduced almost 6 inches. Amazing! Even my orthopedic surgeon was astounded. Not only is Jennifer a skilled practitioner but she really cares about her patients and will work hard to get the best possible outcome. *Scammers* I was…read moreassigned to Teresis through the Department of Veteran's Affairs Community Care Team. After attending two appointments, they tried to get me to sign a financial agreement of some kind with them. I tried reminding them my appointments were covered by the VA and should not have any cost incurred with them. They then tried to get me to sign an authorization allowing them to bill my private insurance. Again, all billing for VA referrals is handled through DVA at no cost to Veterans. They refused to provide treatment and I left. Insurance fraud greatly increases the cost of medical services, which impacts marginalized communities every day. Preying upon disabled veterans to line your pockets is just low.
