Dr. Stephen Clark and Dr. Jasmine Martin at Athletic Physiotherapy in Westlake are the reason I got back to the sports I love this fast. This is not a clinic that hands you a sheet of exercises and checks your range of motion. Dr. Clark and Dr. Martin treat rehab like athletic training. Every session was programmed toward a goal I actually cared about, first getting on a dive boat, then getting back on a court, and they adjusted the plan week by week based on how my knee was responding rather than a generic post-op protocol. They pushed hard when I could take it and pulled back when I couldn't, and they were honest about which was which. Both are technically excellent and up to date on post-surgical rehab science, and both remember what you told them last week. If you've had a joint replacement and want to come back as an athlete rather than walk without pain, go here. Five stars, and I've already sent friends your way. The staff member, Carly is one of those who tries hard to understand the feelings of her patients using wisdom and compassion to help her along the path of the healing process. Strong intuition and gut feeling aids her in getting a closeness to her patients allowing her to better and closer understand the conditions the patient is going through. This could be a possible past experience she might have had along her journey to the current state of her life. By the message I am trying to relay to prospective clients is a caring, highly intuitive, passionate about her patients well being, and who has besides the above, she invests time to further educate herself to the respective conditions, her patients are dealing with.
