But they are filing all of the paperwork for my co-pay and the other injections I need. This review is for Dr. Carr at the Chandler Village Ortho office. Second time seeing him for trigger finger and can't say anything negative about my experience. My wife had her wrist operated on by a doctor who rushed through appointments and after five appointments, including two by his PAC, didn't want to see her anymore. OrthArizona makes you put down money up front before an operation, rather than going through insurance as is common practice. We then had to make several calls to get our overpayments reimbursed. The therapist we visited at the Pima office created a splint that was painful. I had spinal surgery with Dr. Behrend in early May. I had been going to another facility for a year and all they did was injection after injection never referring me to a surgeon. Was told they saw nothing that would be causing the severe pain I was having which put my life on hold for over a year. I could not do anything due to pain, and injections did nothing. My first visit with Dr. Behrend he came he looked at all of my films and came in and said he knew exactly what needed to be done. So surgery was scheduled and was a SUCCESS. I truly appreciate Dr Myo and his staff. This is an amazing practice. I found them my literal accident when I cut my finger almost off. Dr Myo and his PA, Sarah, were fantastic. Dr Myo completed a very complicated reattachment surgery for me. I am grateful. He also just performed carpal and cubital tunnel release on the same arm. The MA in this office are all true gems of people. They are all so positive, kind and supportive. Dr Myo is not one that is full of words, but he doesn't need to be. I recommend never going to see Dr. Hartzler. I first saw the MA, who didn't even take my vitals. She wanted to know what the problem was so she could get some x-rays. When I told her the issue, she stated that I could only do two because of insurance issues. This is not true. She didn't know which ones to do. I said the doctor should decide. He came in and didn't do a full exam. He was going to get x-rays even though he hadn't totally examined me. It was about which two he could do. It was not about what was wrong with me. Made appointment online regarding both Duputryns Contracture and a strange painful lump in my ring finger. Dr. S. Evans evaluated and thought it would be wise to needle aspirate the lump. As he injected near it I had a verbal reaction and shuddered slightly as it hurt and stung quite badly. He stopped, chastised me for my "exaggerated response", telling me that this is NOT a painful procedure. Then he asked his nurse to just book me for general surgery (including anesthesia)...like he simply couldn't deal with me. On leaving I paid my bill in full ($450+ for 2 xrays and 15 minutes with Doctor), as I'm uninsured, and two weeks later received ANOTHER bill for an additional $35 without any details or explanation. I recently required a documented opinion from a licensed spinal surgeon in order for insurance to approve a medical procedure. Yes, I know that sounds strange. Despite my medical care team including 10+ doctors and specialists, I did not have an orthopedic surgeon or a spinal surgeon who could evaluate and provide this professional opinion for my insurance company. Ortho Arizona was fantastic from the start. When I made the appointment they validated that Dr. Williams would be able to see me and provide the necessary documentation in real time as long as he deemed it appropriate. When we arrived at the office I was impressed with the waiting room set up, but more so with the kindness of the staff who went out of their way open doors for my wheelchair and help speed up my sign in so I could get started as quickly as possible. That's when we met Dr. Williams' MA, Jireh. She was the best medical assistant I have ever met - not only did she take my initial history, she was also incredibly kind, compassionate and she anticipated exactly what the doctor would need and want to do. If I was hiring, I would give this young lady a job every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Dr. Williams was absolutely phenomenal - his no BS attitude coupled with compassion and clearly in depth knowledge of his specialty made him a joy to work with. He had a nice banter with his MA and it was a warm, happy environment vs a cold, sterile one. I would go to this office for any ortho issue! DO NOT USE THIS Facility. Communication is horrible. I saw Dr. Schmidt and then had an MRI and CT scan on May 5th. As of May 19th nothing is posted on my patient portal with results of the tests or DR notes. They tried to call me when I was out of town and didn't have cell service. I notified them by email. Dr. Schmidt left me a message that I would have to make an appointment to get any answers. I called wrote and went into the office. This morning I was supposed to receive a call at 7:45 am. I have had 3 appointments at Ortho AZ Chandler. The front staff is friendly and ontime. However, all 3 apts I have waited for over an hour past my appointment time. I was brought back into an exam room and sat for 45-60 mins each time. Finally, I got up to leave and was finally seen. I 100% understand running behind, but being 45mins to an hour late is unacceptable and shows patients no regard for their own appts etc that are scheduled. Appointment times are chosen based on schedules that patients have and you expect us to be ontime and fill out paperwork prior, so we expect the Dr's to show professionalism and be on time, or close to ontime read more
