Marked improvement in front office since my last visits in 2025! Found out they were having insurance issues with Tricare and still were not paid - they never "troubled" me with it until my new set of procedures were due and Tricare was dropping the ball again. Robin is (and frankly always has been) awesome. New front desk seems a lot more together and got my OHI to approve procedures same day. Docs are still amazing, providing great care - hope the scheduling improvement is lasting. read more

I met with Dr Reddy following an accident that required surgery. My surgeon recommended me to contact my pain Doctor during my 4/6 week recovery. Dr Reddy criticized my surgeon stating that she was totally wrong in her prescription for me during this healing period. Dr Reddy was totally non-professional in critiquing my surgeon and her advice to me. He discredited her and was most arrogant in telling me how wrong she was. I was 1 week after surgery to repair my leg. And my pain is overwhelming. He was not listening to me at all but was very defensive. What a disappointment. read more

The staff and Dr Patel were professional, patient and answered my questions. They explained the procedure. Insurance coverage was discussed so there isn't any surprise charges. We were left in the exam room for about an hour before the doctor came in and we were only there to review results from a CT scan. When he did come in he was there for MAYBE 5min. We then went to schedule a procedure and get a referral and the people behind the desk were so disorganized and unable to figure out what the doctor was wanting. They couldn't find the referral, gave us wrong instructions for the procedure telling my dad not to take his heart meds the day of his procedure! Then to top everything off, the day of the procedure they kick me out of the EXAM room bc of my service dog claiming he can't be there when placing an IV!!!! Except I KNOW this is not true as my service dog and I have stayed in the HOSPITAL with my dad for over a week with IVs and blood draws happening all the time. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I had a weird feeling about this place the first time I met the doctor and he had terrible bedside manner and I should have just listened to my intuition. read more

This place has become very unprofessional! I came into office with my parents for a procedure they had done,I met Rose who not only pleasantly welcomed us in,but she was so helpful and hands-on. We came in again second time and I witnessed Rose being rudely attacked by the Not So pleasant office manager SHIRLEY whom we met at the start of our visit to Dr.Redy and Dr. massour. There are some other issues that keep the pain coming back and apex pain specialists doctors Naveen Reddy and Maziar Massrour are always able to get her back to being pain free with her targeted injections. I thought only high grade athletes trying to stay in competition needed these type of treatments (thinking Andre Agassi back in the day) but when I learned that these treatments were available for normal people and covered under many insurances I made sure to get my mom an appointment right away. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Reddy and his staff! I start going there a little over a year ago and he worked through all my issues with my back we did everything we could just stop my pain. Some of it worked for a while however, finally he recommended I see a surgeon after doing another MRI. He recommended Dr Steve Chang at the Barrow brain and spine. Which I did and just finished having surgery. I am now totally out of pain. I was suffering from spinal stenosis in my lower back as well as a vertebrae issue and small cyst in the spine. read more

Dr. Reedy was all about the money and not the patient. Upon first visit Dr. Reedy wanted to do facet joint injections without an mri. He was quick to assume the diagnosis with a x-ray alone. After getting a second option and a mri Dr Reedy was planning to treat me for arthritis of the spine vs 3 bulged discs, spinal stenosis, and DDD (deginitive disc). Dr. Reedy said the numbness in thigh was weight related, But it's related vs a 2.5 cm bulge in one of the disc. * billing for procedures are treated as inpatient vs outpatient which would of been $640.00 out of pocket for the wrong treatment all together. So far so good! Dr. Massrour saved me in a last minute crunch. Back went out (L5/S1) a couple days before my trip to Dominican Republic and I was referred to APEX by a co worker. I was seen the day I left and was prescribed medicine that held me over for my vacation. When I returned I was seen almost immediately for injections. First one down and waiting for the second one. Most of the pain is gone and gained some feeling back in my foot. Hopefully the second shot finishes the job. I would recommend APEX to anyone. They listen to the patient and provided safe and prompt medical attention unlike CORE Institute that takes months on end to actually provide any medical attention that is effective! read more

Dr Redy did not listen nor seem to have any empathy. He failed to properly access the areas in which I am experiencing problems and failed to offer any solutions to my pain. I took the wrong records with me and when I told them my mother could get them in less than 20 minutes the staff told me not to worry. They would get the electronically. Regardless he made suggestions that would only cause me agony before considering any treatment, in addition to recommending a topical compound medication. (Most insurance providers do not cover compounds, including mine.) Do not waist your time, if you want to try injections go elsewhere. There are many providers that offer these same solutions while caring for their patients. read more

Dr Massrour has been my pain doctor for almost 5 years and I couldn't be happier! Chronic pain is very difficult to deal with especially when it's your back! Met with Dr and was told they could not help me sold me a back belt and was told to go to therapy.I was in the office less then 30 min.Just got the bill and was charged $ 1200.00 and 318.00 for 30 min. My husband went to this office for back & knee pain. He had one procedure scheduled at 4 pm on Tuesday and 7:15 the next day on Wednesday for the 2nd procedure. When we showed up Tuesday the receptionist said we had a check in time of 9:45 am for our next day appointment on Wednesday.They changed the time without notifying us after we rearranged our work schedules. The customer service is horrible and Dr. Mazi talks down to his staff. I would look for a different pain specialist who isn't about money. We were told they can't treat my husband for his back at the same time as his knees. That's because they are worried about being paid at a lesser reimbursement for billing for both back & knees rather than treating their patients. They did not apologize for changing the schedule with less than a 24 hour notice. We will never go to this office again. read more

This review is about Dr Massuar only! I was referred to Apex Pain specialist by the VA due to the fact they could not get me in within 30 days for a nerve ablation. This was to be my 7th ablation but Dr Massuar insisted I get a test shot to see if ablation would work. I informed him it was my 7th ablation so I know they work. He insisted on test shots but said over and over again(5) times that if the test shots worked he would schedule the ablation. I went in on the 13th o April for the test shot and was told I would be given something for the pain of procedure (twilight sleep) which I'm not sure I was given because I felt EVERYTHING!!! I kept telling him it hurt but he did nothing to ease the pain. After he was done he never even came in to recovery to ask if the shots helped. All of a sudden is nurse walks in with an appt paper for two weeks to repeat the test shots instead of an appt for the nerve ablation as promised. I was very upset and let them know it. I was no more $$$$ to him, he could of cared less about my pain read more

Finally! I am still fairly new to AZ and have been bounced around from doc to doc to ER with no known diagnosis or treatment plan. I met with Dr. Reddy and finally feel like there is relief in the near future! This has been the first pain management doctor who has explained what he thinks is going on based on my MRI and has a treatment plan in place so that I have relief in doing daily activities. Was referred to Dr Reddy for chronic back pain due to bulging disks. Would only prescribe non-opiate pain medication and physical therapy. Suggested the cortisone shots to the affected area, but a previous experience with those were more painful that the chronic pain, I refused that treatment plan. Finished 2 rounds of PT with not much improvement. Returned for a follow-up appointment, again Dr Reddy wanted to do the injections, but after voicing my concerns,I refused again. I felt like he wasn't listening to what I wanted and only wanted to do the injections. His response was that If I didn't want to get the injections, there was nothing else he could help me with, but if I changed my mind, come back. No thanks. Looking for a new Dr that will work with me and my concerns rather then just dismissing me. read more

Dr. Massrour offered me ABSOLUTELY NO HELP with my serious, chronic low back problems. Essentially I have done everything possible, every possible treatment including 3 lumbar surgeries, spinal cord stimulator implant, etc. So, when I went to Dr. Massrour looking for someone closer to my house to manage my medications, he refused to write me scripts for the opioids that I've been on to manage my pain level. He looked at my medical history, said "wow, your back is really messed up", then said there was nothing he could do for me and shooed me out the door. Oh, and they charged me $240 and refused to bill my insurance. AVOID THESE QUACKS AT ALL COST!! read more
