I recently went in to be examined for numerous problems with my hands by Dr Baker's physician's assistant Kristina Holtzapfel. She was very pleasant upon entering the room, and greeted me warmly. She sat down and spoke with me at length about my problems and seemed genuinely interested. She then began my examination, and it was readily apparent that she was well versed in examining and logging the various complaints. She was quick, but extremely thorough. After arranging for X-rays to be taken, which I only had to wait a couple of minutes for, Dr Baker came in and examined me. Once again, he was quick but very thorough, and a plan for treating me was quickly worked out. Before leaving he made sure I was clear on what would be happening, and like his Assistant, he was very friendly and professional and put me at ease. I was able to get an appointment quickly and throughout the entire visit, between waiting for her to come in, to waiting for X-rays, to waiting for the Doctor, the longest I had to wait was about three or four minutes. I have been seeing Dr. Burns for is twitch my back, hip & knee. He has been extremely nice, answering all questions that I may have and even allowing my wife to ask questions on speaker phone. Dr. Burns has provided treatment which has been helpful and much appreciated. Dr. Burns early in my treatment ordered an MRI of my back something that no other Doctor had done before and it was during this MRI that a Tumor was discovered on & in my Kidney, Doctor Burns immediately notified myself and my wife, contacted a Oncologist that is specialized in Kidney Cancer and ordered another immediate MRI for the kidney areas direct. It was cancer, I underwent surgery and the tumor and part of my Kidney was removed successfully and no treatments needed afterwards just periodically doing scans. My point is, I had no symptoms, Because of Dr. Burns this was caught in its early stage and to be honest probably saved my life. Every visit he continues to ask how I am doing. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Jolson at OrthoCincy Urgent Care. After a sleepless night due to severe knee and hip pain, I sought help as a long-time patient of OrthoCincy (over 10 years). Unfortunately, this visit will be my last. Dr. Jolson reviewed my chart and x-rays, then dismissed my concerns, stating I had "minimal arthritis" and should not be in much discomfort--without even asking about my pain level. His recommended treatment, a steroid pack and Benadryl, failed to address my pain or provide meaningful relief. What was most upsetting was his complete lack of bedside manner and empathy. Rather than listening to my concerns or validating my experience, he left me feeling dismissed and unheard. As a loyal patient, this level of insensitivity and disregard for my pain was deeply frustrating and unacceptable. read more

I had aggrivated my back by favoring my arthritic knee. In extreme pain, my niece got me to OrthCincy's urgent care facility in Edgewood, Ky. It was 8:10 pm when I arrived and I was told that it would be an hour and a half wait. Disappointed, but I knew I had no alternative as I was in so much pain, I could not possibly endure another car ride. It wasn't an hour and a half, but probably an hour. I received X-rays on my back, met with the assistant and then I was introduced to Gina Schuler, APRN. She was both thorough and efficient. Unfortunately it was too late to get my steroid prescription filled, but there was now light at the end of the tunnel. I recently had a Carpal Tunnel Release performed by Dr Baker. I'm a retired OR nurse. We can be a little nervous when we are the patient! Dr Baker and his staff proved to be very caring, understanding and knowledgeable. He and his staff were aware of my physical limitations and made accommodations for me to be comfortable. They answered all my questions and provided some light-hearted entertainment during the procedure! The procedure went quickly and without any complications. The entire staff, both in the office and outpatient areas were efficient, yet compassionate. I would highly recommend Dr Baker for any hand surgery. I went to OrthoCincy as a walk-in at 8:00 AM not knowing that the walk-in clinic did not begin until 9:00 AM. The front office staff was kind enough to get me checked in and processed right away and then as the patient load was not heavy, they got me in to be seen. She examined me and carefully explained what she was doing and why to include my diagnosis and treatment plan. She was very kind, knowledgeable and gentle with my injury. My father went to see Dr. Velazquez for chronic issues with his knee. After reviewing his x-rays and diagnosing his problem, Dr. Velazquez explained his options for treatment. He was very thorough and patient as he answered all of our questions. My father was able to get injections in his knee the same day. I had to find a new pain management Dr due to no fault of my own. I already was seeing a Dr at Cincy Ortho for my knees and I'm very happy with him. So I thought I'd try their pain management Dr. It was a lengthy wait in the exam room but I understood why. When Dr Roberts came in he was exceptionally caring and understanding. He thoroughly went thru all my pain issues and agreed to help me. He was patient with me and actually listened and acknowledged my concerns. Dr. Greiwe is a suburb physician! After I broke my elbow, he saw me for an appointment the next day, did a wonderfully thorough job explaining things to me and scheduled me for my procedure right away. His office took care of everything in a very timely manner. Dr. Greiwe even made a house call to me over the weekend to make sure I understand our plan of action and took so much time with me to answer all my questions. My wife made me an appointment here, as she is a nurse and has had many experiences with OC. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I went. I was given an injection and was told of all of the potential side effects. Thankfully I have not experienced any thus far, and it's been 3 days now since I received the injection. I was injured at work so the ER doctor referred me to a follow-up evaluation at OrthoCincy. I went to the Edgewood location on a Saturday. I was a walk-in. Unfortunately they were backed up so I had to wait for a long while. But it wasn't their fault that many people were walk-ins. Once I was seen, it was quick service. And friendly and professional. Excellent care received by all the employees here. My 4 year old little girl broke her arm and it was very traumatic for her. They treated her quickly and with a smile a sticker and some candy that made her very happy and took her mind off her arm. Definitely recommend them for kids and even adults. Another provider had failed to transfer my records and the staff member was so kind and spent a lot of time on several phone conversations to rectify the situation.
