Rude front desk staff they kept looking at me as I was seated in the lobby like, why are you there? I jammed 2 of my finger tips Avulsion Fracture of the 2 Finger fingers. I did this on a weekend so I purchased splints from Amazon. I got a referral from St Elizabeth physicians and saw Dr. B. He said there's nothing I can do for you and I still have crooked fingers to this day. He has zero bedside manner. He's just awful. read more

Don't ever go to Ortho Cincy, I was behind on my bill and I was refused medical care for lower back injury, I even offered to make payment arrangements and that wasn't good enoug. Worst place to go for care. read more

Tried to change an appointment for X-rays only because of bad weather. Person answering the phone refused to change appointment and was extremely rude and offensive. read more

My husband and now my daughter both met up with Dr. M, and neither had a great experience. Both were told they had to suck it up, basically, for their knee issues. My husband's second opinion led to an immediate knee replacement, and my daughter's rheumatologist knows something is wrong with her knee even if they can't find the issue. Totally unimpressed. On top of all, my daughter went for an MRI, and they didn't do the MRI because another doctor has ordered an MRI with contrast, and Dr. M had ordered one without. They refused to get it clarified because "it would take an hour to do." Her appointment was scheduled for an hour. If this had been an isolated bad experience, I would not complain. The negative experiences keep multiplying. We do not plan to return for any reason. read more

We were going on a cruise to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Then suddenly my husband got a sharp pain in hip area. After MRI we saw a problem. He needed an injection. Dr Valetin was awesome. Surgery staff also. The shot wasn't working fast enough. We canceled our cruise. The insurance company wanted a signed statement. I filled out papers and faxed to doctor office. Then a "disability " company called. I needed to pay $30 to review his "claim". All this needed, a signature saying he couldn't travel. Money Money Money!!!! read more

My 13 year old son injured his elbow at school. We went to St. E Urgent care, AMAZING, they splinted it, took some x-rays and determined it was fractured, there was a little chip but they referred me to Ortho Cincy. I called, receptionists were fine, we got in with Dr. Reist WHO WAS AMAZING. Great bedside manner, very informative, very friendly. I am now unsure as to why we were seen by this Dr. though because the scheduler knew this was an elbow injury and Dr. Reist is a knee and shoulder specialist, which just supports my theory that this is a money pit and they will do anything to keep you coming back. I DID NOT GET THIS VIBE FROM DR. REIST, again, my visit with him was amazing and he sent me to an elbow specialist but wanted to do a CT/MRI first to make sure it wasn't more serious, which I appreciated. A nurse/Medical assistant came in and splinted my sons arm, she did a great job, we were sent out to schedule the CT visit and return for a f/u with the specialist. Got the CT, the notes said there was a chip it was 3mm displaced, some swelling. My son was beginning to heal, swelling was going down, splint was working to stabilize the fracture. I called once the results were in to make the f/u and I was asked what DR I was supposed to see, I had no idea and she said 2 names, I remembered one of them, and we went with that Doctor. We were scheduled with Dr. S, I was unable to attend the f/u, my son went with his father, his father called frantic afterwards and said they were sure he needed a Tommy John (or similar) surgery and they had him scheduled for it 4 days later. He said Dr. S was belittling the CT scan and discrediting the notes from the Dr who interpreted them, he said he was arguing with my son as to how he injured himself. My son was very clear on how he injured his elbow, it was a simple fall directly to the elbow, Dr. S insisted he fell a different way, my son respectfully retold how he injured it. I read the after visit summary where Dr. S put IN THE NOTES that the "Patient was uncertain how he injured himself" and then listed how HE (Dr. S) thought he injured himself. My husband said he was rude and pressured him into scheduling the surgery. After reading the notes and doing the most research I could on my own, I reached out to Ortho Cincy asking for non surgical treatment as this seemed VERY INVASIVE for a 13 year old pubescent adolescent. From the research I did, this was an extremely common injury and rarely required more than a cast/splint. Dr. S's receptionist scheduled a new visit, where Dr. S spent 25 minutes telling me that his group text FROM 6 MONTHS AGO said he needs to have the surgery, a good friend of his from the mayo clinic, who was in the group text also agreed my son needed to have the surgery (with no pictures or supportive documents) and that there would be serious and painful consequences I would be subjecting my son to if I didn't have the surgery. I asked if he was able to splint/cast him and see if it was healing since DR. S had said MANY TIMES prior that he was borderline for the surgery, and since the CT scan that he once adamantly disagreed with now was one he did agree with but even then they recommend doing surgery for "even a 3mm displaced chip" which was a FAR CRY from what he had said earlier, as he had said to my husband that it was OBVIOUSLY 5mm displaced. That is a major difference and 3mm is not typically operated on when 5mm would qualify for an operation. Dr. S was very rude, very short, very unkind. He had a "I am a DR and you are an idiot" vibe to him. He seemed very upset that I wasn't on the floor begging him to cut open my son and put metal screws in his elbow. I asked him to cast first and if there was any issue, we could visit the surgery, he said he could but I would have to sign a document saying I was declining his referral. I agreed, he left and then popped back into the room and told me if I wasn't going to do the surgery I could leave and he would not be casting it after all. I told him we would leave, he sent in a employee with the document for me to sign, I declined to sign it and left. We went to children's, LIKE I SHOULD HAVE DONE THE WHOLE TIME, and they were amazing, and agreed that a surgery was not the answer and said that since the cast would have been removed at this time (It had been 22 days, 10 days since I last saw Dr. S at Ortho). My son got another X-ray, they said it was healing normally, there was ZERO evidence to support surgery and that there are often more complications later with surgery than without it. Thank you CHILDREN'S Basically, short story long, I felt like he wanted so badly to do surgery on my child when it wasn't necessary. That is dangerous to me. You should also do some research on how they're bonuses are determined. Once I found out the pay scale, it all made sense. I will never recommend this Doctor, I think he chose money over safety, I think he chose money and bonus over what his oath asks him to do. read more

Saw Kathryn Byrne PA concerning my shoulder, her and the whole staff were great. Everyone was friendly and caring. This was my first time seeing her it was if she had known me for a long time. After having xrays and talking with her she offered different treatment options and for now avoiding surgery. She was a good listener and explained my condition in layman terms. Was told I needed surgery to fix an issue from a car accident. I had the neck surgery in Sept and here we are 3 months later still having the same issue and was told the surgery would fix it. After the 3 months follow I was released and then told no guarantee it would fix my migraines, hand numbness and hand swelling. Actually feel worse now than prior to the surgery, can not lift with my left hand due to weakness. After calling questioning my symptoms they then changed my office notes that I had screen shot prior to. The next day they were changed. read more

A family member seen Dr. Chapek. I wouldn't recommend taking a stray cat to him. He basically did no physical exam ordered no tests. patient was told to loose weight and come back. He went as far as to discuss weight loss drugs, which should not be in his purview. Office manager was contacted who said she would reach out to the patient. Four days later still no contact. patient sent a message in my chart, again four days later and no response. REALLY!! read more

Last week i tried to make an appointment to see DR. JACQUEMIN, MD and the office said that i need to see his assistant first, Carol Wise APRN. Ok. They called back three days later to tell me that SHE does not accept workers comp insurance. I said that i want to see Dr. JACQUEMIN, MD anyway.... Does he accept W/C? Yes he does. However, you have to have an MRI to see him. How do you get an MRI approved from W/C without seeing the Doctor? They are calling me back. What kind of operation are they running? They literally have a workers comp department. read more

Do not trust this company when they tell you insurance will cover the procedure or equipment. They assured us that our out of pocket cost for a brace would be ZERO. It was an optional brace that we wouldn't have purchased, but since it was no cost to us, we took it. We then received a bill from them for $600. After a back and forth with them for months, they sent this bill to collections! We never ended up needing the brace, but this company got their money. We have always had a good experience with their staff and doctors but I would never, ever recommend OrthoCincy to anyone based on this experience. I will go out of my way to warn people. You can't trust what billing or the people who confirm insurance coverage are telling you. read more

13 years ago the disc issues in my back were so bad I lived with level-10 pain 24/7. I was petrified to undergo surgery. I had never heard anyone say anything positive about back surgery yet I had no choice but to do it. I found Dr. Jacquemin. He performed full fusion back surgery. I no sooner was waking up from the anesthesia when I knew my back surgery was a complete success. I had surgical pain but my back pain was completely gone. It was a complete miracle. He released me in less than 24 hours and I actually came home doing laps around my house....I was moving slowly but my back pain had disappeared. I referred to him as my miracle worker and he called me his poster child (at 50 yrs. old, I was delighted to take on that title). Needless to say, I would travel the world over to have Dr. Jacquemin work on any back issue that may arise. read more

Was referred here by my doctor at St. Elizabeth. Waited a month for a call back from referrals, only to be told that they don't take my insurance. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. If you partner with St. E's and have doctors referring you here, why do you not accept the same insurance? At least make it clear on your website. read more

Have my first knee replacement scheduled Dec 8. Zach is great and so knowledgeable hard to make the decision but he made me confident, confirmed my suspicion that it is needed but never pressured me and left it to me. OrthoCincy is so organized. I saw Dr. Wera for my hands and wrists. He was nice and professional. Not the most compassionate doctor I've ever seen, but he was very informative and honest with me. I have such severe arthritis from autoimmune disease and too many past injuries from sports that there is no quick fix or surgery that can help me at all. I only give 4 stars because it irritates me how I was there for hours and didn't get called back until thirty minutes past my appointment time after showing up 30 minutes early. Some of that is understandable if the reasoning is taking time with patients that need it and not overbooking appointments. I did think maybe there would be some type of injection to help my wrist pain but that was never discussed. Other reason I took a star off was because the person that came in, a young man I won't name, to give me my wrist braces appeared to be either really sick or hopefully having some type of severe allergy attack. He kept wiping his runny nose with his hand and touching the wrist brace and my hand read more

My wife suffered with what they told her was arthritis in her knee for 9 months they put her through painful therapy and they told her she would probably need a knee replacement. She then went to a surgeon who said she isn't ready for replacement. Then she went to a rheumatologist who said she has something else going on and told her she needs to see a good Ortho surgeon. Finally she went to Beacon orthopedic and right away looking at the same MRI that Ortho Cincy used months before the surgeon at Beacon Ortho saw a piece of cartlidge that broke loose from her meniscus. Dr. Cha at a Beacon is doing Surgery soon we are so happy and at the same time angry and disappointed that she had to suffer so long. read more
