Sorry for the lengthy story; but I wanted to share my full experience with Orthopaedics Plus in the Bedford location. I first saw my surgeon in August of last year for severe hip pain on my right side. He and I decided to go with a Cortisone shot, physical therapy and then four months later have a full hip replacement surgery. I started PT right away with Colleen. She came up with a program that strengthened up muscles, improved mobility and basically got me ready for surgery. My surgery was postponed from December of 2020 due to elective surgeries being cancelled due to COVID. I continued home exercises that Colleen set up for me until I finally my my hip replacement surgery in the beginning of March of this year. I had the surgery and once again, I was back to see Colleen for post surgery PT. She and Alex were awesome in setting up a program and schedule to get me back to where I once used to be. Each and every session was great, they would always check with me to see how I was doing, if there were any changes since our previous session and if there was anything that I was concerned about. I’m not going to lie to you, it was always a workout while I was there. There were many times that I would have rather taken it easy on an exercise or two, but they were always there to give support and words of encouragement. I was there twice a week for roughly three months and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute of it. Colleen and Alex were instrumental in helping me to get to where I am today. I was released by both Colleen and my surgeon towards the end of July, I still do the home exercises she gave me and look forward to what the future brings. The rest of the Bedford staff (Justin, Todd and Dawn) were great as well. They were extremely friendly, would always check in on me and truly cared about each person that was there. I have seen Justin on quite a few occasions now for a variety of injuries. I first saw him when I was having lower back pain in 2016. After diagnosing me with hypermobility on my right side, he taught me stability exercises for my core so I could get back to powerlifting pain free. Fast forward to 2017 and I was back in seeing him for a nagging shoulder issue. I had rotator cuff tendonitis after having surgery on a labrum tear in my left shoulder a few years earlier. With this injury I was unable to bench press or do many day to day activities that depended on being able to raise my arm over my head. After a few months of working with Justin on strengthening my rotator cuff muscles and stabilizing my shoulder, I was back to working out and doing my day to day activities pain free. Most recently I was back in to see Justin for distal hamstring tendonitis. Prior to seeing Justin again, I was in immense pain when trying to deadlift or do any hamstring / hip hinge movement. As I am sure you are starting to see a theme here, after working with Justin for about 5 months he got me back up and running to where I can return to powerlifting again, pain free. I would categorize myself as being injury prone and I had been to 3-4 other physical therapists before finding Justin. What separates him and the rest of the practitioners at Orthopaedics Plus is that he was not satisfied until I was able to do every activity I enjoy doing pain free. In the past I had experienced PT's getting me pain free with normal walking and sitting activity, but Justin went above and beyond. After multiple successful stints with Orthopaedics Plus, I would not go anywhere else in the future and would recommend Justin and the rest of the staff to anyone that is rehabbing from an injury. read more

After a mountain bike accident left me with a severe ankle sprain, I reached out to Orthopedics Plus for help. I had gone from being a daily gym goer, runner and biker, to not being able to walk in the course of 24hrs. The proud owner of a new pair of crutches (that I had no clue how to use, thanks to the OP team for some lessons :) ), I crutched into orthopedics plus on day 1 feeling totally helpless. Fast forward a few months and my life has completely changed. Thanks to the amazing care of Colleen and the OP team, I am now healed and participating in my first post injury 5K in March. I can't say enough wonderful things about Colleen and all the staff at Orthopedics Plus. Colleen is extremely attentive, thoughtful, and encouraging in her care. As an active person that was no longer able to live the life I was used to, I'd have my bad days. Colleen was always right there to cheer me up and ensure me that I'd get through it. As an athlete, I've been to many PTs in the past and I can say that the care I received at OP is unmatched. The OP team is not only extremely knowledgeable but fully invested in getting patients back to 100%. Today I am back to running, biking, and strength training full time and pain free. This was my first physical therapy experience so I have nothing to compare it to. I was very uncomfortable and did not know what to expect. Al immediately made me feel at ease. He also diagnosed my problem in less than one minute. This is something that three medical professional and an x-ray could not pin point. My knee cap was off to the side so it was not sitting in the correct spot. He then started me off slowly. He gave me one stretch and one exercise to do for homework. Over the course of 11 visits, he added special high tech medical tape and more stretches and exercises. The pain and discomfort disappeared. I was also able to talk to him by using the new app on my phone. This helped me stay on target and be honest with my home routine. He was very responsive and answered my concerns even on the weekend. But, my greatest compliment was how well I witnessed Al put all of his clients at ease. He would see clients of every walk of life; from every age and every activity level. One customer used a walker, another had had hip replacement, one was a teacher like me and had to rush back to school. He was always positive, flexible and easy going. I felt like part of a family and will miss going. I happily give my highest recommendation! read more

The quality of my life has improved tremendously since starting physical therapy at Orthopaedics Plus. I had constant low back pain for 6 months which effected my sleep and day to day activities. After my treatments, I am stronger and my overall pain has subsided. From the moment I entered the office, the receptionists, therapists and aides, made me feel welcomed and supported. The receptionists were very accommodating to fit my appointments into my busy schedule. The therapists and aides worked together to ensure that my time and energy was utilized efficiently with the ultimate goal to make me feel better and stronger. The therapists are patient and encouraging. I was instructed on proper techniques and given home care instructions to continue my progress once therapy ended. I am the head athletic trainer for Burlington High School and I constantly recommend Orthopaedics Plus to my student athletes and staff members. The quality of care is second to none. I had a severe shoulder problem from overuse. Pain was unbearable, couldn't sleep, couldn't wash my face, etc. I signed up for a telehealth assessment with Colleen and she was able to quickly diagnose my rotator cuff impingement and start me on some exercises. We met weekly via Zoom and added exercises each time. I immediately began to see results. Colleen was terrific. She not only gave me exercises but took the time to find our what activities I like to do and worked on getting me back to doing those things. I play squash and racquetball and she tailored the PT to get me back to where I could play them again as well as strengthening the shoulder for golf. She even had me go outside and swing a golf club to assess my form and hit a squash ball against a wall for the same thing. I had 6-7 sessions and am happy to say I am pretty much pain free, playing golf and doing things I hadn't been able to do before my PT. I actually started Othro Plus after hip replacement in their Burlington location, before expansion to Bedford. My PT was Colleen, and I could not have hoped for a more caring, consummate professional. She took me through both hip replacements in five months, and I was (rapidly!) fully mobile. I am in the gym now, and am able to augment my activity regimen at home with little equipment due to her expertise at putting low-impact, high-benefit exercises--with or without bands--to use at home at any time. Ortho Plus is a highly personalized, scientifically based program that is an important adjunct to any physical recovery program. The assistants and interns--in my case, Alex and Iggy--are always ready to help. There is never an unsupervised moment in a client's PT hour, due to team approach in every aspect of operations. No words can express how grateful I am to Justin from Orthopedics Plus. I came to him with knee issues which resulted in my not being able to work out or take long walks, etc. which I love to do. As an active person, it was very frustrating to have a less than functional knee and sometimes my impatience would show! I tend to be very inpatient and want everything thing fixed fast! Justin was fantastic and knew exactly how to deal with my personality and my dysfunctional knee!! He was patient, professional, and more importantly, knew how to get me up and running again! I've just completed a lengthy 6 month recovery with Justin Pezick for several leg fractures, ACL replacement and MCL tear. I would summarize my experience with Justin as the best therapist I've ever used. Keep in mind that you have to be committed to the recovery process too. Justin's knowledge of the human anatomy and his personal approach to each patient is quite unique. He knows how and when to push you as well as recognizing when each individual approaches their limits. I've seen his approach work well with other patients during these 6 months that ran across others that range from athletes to couch potatoes and others somewhere in between. I have had more than one experience with Orthopaedics Plus over the years. I have always been treated well, staff is polite and helpful, main desk as well. The facility understands the problems with the virus and ensures that everyone and everything is safe. I typically don't write reviews but when it comes to Orthopaedics Plus, I feel compelled. My son has suffered from chronic back pain for 2 years due to a football injury - the pain has restricted his day-to-day activity and has repeatedly interfered with his sleep. I found Orthopaedics Plus 6 months ago after having a few horrible experiences with different offices, and they have been amazing.
