I have a lower back issue that is being seen by an orthopedic surgeon and cannot be fixed at this time due to my weight. I was sent to Dr Preudhomme because my surgeon didn't want to manage my pain, but wanted to perform surgery when my weight was lower only. My surgeon thought I should go to a pain management specialist for now while I try to work on my weight. Boy was he wrong! Dr. Preudhomme hardly let's me get a word in edge wise because he is rude and interrupts the patient consistently. That's not just bad bedside manner, the guy is just rude. What's worse, he will not give me any pain medication even though I told him I don't have any and that my doctor doesn't want to keep giving me prescriptions to manage my pain. He didn't even want to see me anymore, let alone help me. He said I needed to see my surgeon and not him. I wonder why my surgeon sent me to a pain specialist then??? I was never rude or anything but polite with him and he acts like I am there to ruin his career or something. I like to give doctors the leeway they need to treat their patients in the way they see fit. I'm not difficult. I usually don't even ask for specific medications that work well on me unless I'm asked. I'm open to whatever pain management he wants to perform (whether it be pain medication or not) but I needed something for the pain for the time being, since my doctor sent me to him. I left his office without anything other than disappointment. He refused to do anything for me. I'm not a junkie and I hate taking medications. I'm a good person who is down on my luck due to an accident that wasn't even my fault. But he outright refuses pain treatment even though he's a pain specialist? Really?

He personally calls you on the phone if labs or tests come back with something he needs to discuss immediately instead of having a nurse call you to setup up another appointment. He never rushes you even though he is extremely busy. Sometimes your wait time is a little longer but he is well worth the wait. I highly recommend Dr Charles Briseno.

Don't give a bad review during season because he's popular and you can't get an appointment but if you want a good primary he is the best I've ever had. I highly recommend his nurse practitioner she is just as good and easier to see for times you have a cold, minor things without paying urgent care. I hate seeing bad reviews because they forced you to see the nurse practitioner before Conrado because she is just as awesome and you will still get reviewed. The whole team is my go to and have always been there for me. I have all my specialist copy Conrado to make sure he reviews all of my care and make sure I'm getting the right treatment.
