Dr. Ackerman was nice, knowledgable, and efficient. A resident/fellow sees you first, and then reviews notes with the doctor who subsequently sees you briefly to discuss the treatment plan. One star off because they seem to always be running a little behind schedule, but overall a good experience and good medical care. Casting is quick and painless, and the technicians are friendly and make you feel comfortable. They validate parking - $2 cash only. If you're a Brown student/staff/faculty, take the university shuttle to RIH and just avoid parking altogether. The garage spaces are limited, and it can be a headache. In the waiting room, there's a picture signed by Stephen Gostkowski to keep you entertained.

I would prefer to try aquatic therapy because I'm in so much pain from walking and they offer that service. So I've only been for my initial appointment and the young lady that helped me was very kind and very sweet. She seemed knowledgeable about my surgery and what would be required to prepare for it and to recover from it. So I am looking forward to the aqua therapy and the post surgery therapy and hope that I can move on with my life and get back to being able to walk again with their help

I am a diabetic which makes things worse. He sent me to check the blood flow in my leg and foot. 90 percent blockage in the vessel that carries the blood to the area. I had that taken care of and he did the rest. Saved the toe!! I sent a fellow diabetic to him with something close to what I had and is treating him now. Great job to the Dr. and his staff. I was able to book an appointment within the following week, which is what I needed. The office staff is super friendly, especially the doctors! The guy who handled my procedure was super nice! Explained to me what the procedure would entail, and what the worst part of it would be. The worst part was getting anesthetic injected into my toe, making it numb for several hours afterwards. But the surgery itself was essentially quick and painless. Was in an out of there in roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Sent me on my way with some extra medicine for the care afterwards. Seeing them again in a few weeks for a follow up appointment. I highly recommend this place!
