The Atmosphere was clam, relaxing not to loud on ambient background noise but a little loud enough you could not make out the music or anything being played but not overly so. The staff were friendly, our server was educational on the items and wines very pleasant they did become to busy to check in properly with us which slowed our check request and request to leave an additional 20 minute's but we enjoyed our time in conversation about what we ate at dinner again no fault of our waiter he sent another waiter to check in on us since he could get back to us till later. Now for the food - We ordered the maple glazed salmon. The 22oz ribeyes with 2 lb lobster tail as well as a side of truffle mushrooms paired with wine. The steak was perfectly tender and cooked medium rare, the lobster was succulent, with rich buttery flavor and tenderness. The salmon was cooked juicy not over done and tenderness to show it was light flaky how a plave know for food and presentation perfectly owned their reputation on one first time visit. The mushrooms were amazing we were so full we could not even order dessert just so full. Over all beautiful scenery and it was a hidden gem I was greatful to see and take time to enjoy a meal with. 10 out of 10 food. 10 out of 10 atmosphere. 7 out of 10 noise level. 8 out of 10 service. Over all 4 out of 5 stars becasue they could improve some aspects on my opinion but if the service required searching for a waiter or waiting to be check up on then it could have been 5 stars.

Don't skip Osage! It was very tasty food and the views were great. You can request the atrium when you make your reservation and if they aren't too busy you won't have to pay the hefty fee to sit there. We had a great time and enjoyed the sunset ceremony after! The bison meatballs were delish, also the bread service was awesome.

Service was excellent our server, Lindsey, was knowledgeable and had great suggestions. She knew we were interested in a leisurely dinner and so she didn't rush us. She put in our food choices spaced out so we had plenty of time to enjoy our wine and relax. Food was top-notch as always. Tried the pasta and pork chop this visit. They did not disappoint! Make sure your reservation allows you to watch the Sunset ceremony, which is beautiful. Don't rush your visit. Enjoy every minute!

10/10 service! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was great! The portions are big so we were able to split/share a bunch

We had our 17th anniversary dinner here recently. We went early so we could enjoy the sunset celebration. A great westward view with bagpipes playing and a cannon firing as the sun dips below the distance horizon. We started with a drink in the bar, then moved to the dining room. The grilled artichoke appetizer was fantastic, I highly recommend it. My wife enjoyed her entree of sea bass and my steak was cooked perfectly. It was an enjoyable un-rushed evening for us. We look forward to returning soon

The shuttle service was super unorganized

This entire restaurant/bar/shuttle situation at Osage,Top of The Rock is so unorganized and chaotic- The "nice dinner/upper scale" part was a total let down. Made reservations months in advance because we're on a road trip and requested table with a view, we got seated behind the only obstruction in the place (big fire place) Ordered their birthday cake for a friend and they couldn't be bothered to clean the table prior to it being brought out. Food wasn't terrible, but the service was so far below what you would expect when paying the amount it costs to eat here. We couldn't even finish appetizers before they were bringing out dinner then to add to the rushed feeling, the waiter tossed boxes on the table for us to bag up our leftovers. It wasn't even close to an elevated experience. Wouldn't recommend if you're celebrating a birthday or something of that nature.

Fantastic views and excellent food and service! We celebrated a belated Mother's Day for my wife and my mom, as well as the birthday of our (now) 8 year old son! We ate brunch on Sunday. The buffet was excellent with a large variety of charcuterie, fresh fruits/granola/yogurt, seafood, breakfast favorites - some with a twist and some other excellent brunch/entree items. They had a crepe station and omlet station too. Pricey - yet quite a wonderful spread to choose from with great service in a clean, comfortable environment with gorgeous views and fantastic native artwork and artifacts to add to the aesthetic.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

The irony of the first course is I always associate persimmons with Autumn but they were perfect in the arugula salad. I feel guilty about my seafood allergy usually requiring at least one substitution but what I was treated to instead of the octopus (which everyone else raved about) was the pistachio crusted lamb lollipops from the restaurant's main menu. Lamb, and green... what better expression of Spring? I would say that was the best lamb I have ever been served but it only displaced the last time I had it at Worman. The tortellini and striploin were scrumptious as well but the dessert tonight was over the top. Several of us commented that we'd never be satisfied with plain ol' strawberry shortcake again. I've tried myself to put an Italian spin on this summertime staple before by macerating the sliced, sweetened berries in balsamic then whipping flecks of minced basil into the cream. Like a caprese salad, the resulting green, white, and red are an homage to their flag. But the inclusion of limoncello was absolutely inspired! Service, as always, was in a league all its own. But I was especially aware this dinner of the artistry of whatever small army of platers there must be hidden back in the kitchen. Whether it's a more intimate wine dinner in the library or we take over the restaurant proper like at Celebration of Tastes, every course comes out looking as consistently beautiful up and down the table. Growing up in a family of 4 kids, Food FOMO was a real thing. My poor mother had to keep track of whose turn it was to get the coveted dab of bacon in a can of pork & beans or sliver of cherry in fruit cocktail. No one leaves Worman House feeling shortchanged.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservations, the place was pretty empty however they still made us wait until 5 minutes after our reservation time. We had requested a window seat which quite a few were available and they tried to seat us elsewhere! Already I had a bad taste and I hadn't even sat down. After about 3 more minutes she seated us by the window. We were there for a friend's birthday celebration and wanted it to be special. Her husband told the server. My husband ordered the Worman's Manhattan. He really enjoyed the current infused rye whiskey in it. It added a very unique flavor to the drink. We were brought a complimentary chef's taste of a goat cheese on a small bagette and small glass of sparkling wine. My husband ordered the seafood pot pie and I had the French onion soup and winter spice cranberry salad. The soup was very good and flavorful but the salad was average and definitely not worth the price. My husband enjoyed the seafood pot pie. It was a very generous serving . He shared some with me. It was very rich and creamy. I didn't particularly like the mussels and clams still in their shells inside the" pie" however the pot pie is just pastry crust over a cast iron pan with the creamed sea food. After the meal we were given some stale macaroons with filling that tasted like frosting. There was No acknowledgement of my friend's birthday. We decided to walk down to see Harry's cocktail bar downstairs before calling our shuttle. The manager came into the bar in a bit of a hurried frenzy as we were walking out and asked if it was someone's birthday. We pointed to our friend and he told her happy birthday and then left?!?! Overall I was disappointed in the experience for the amount of money we spent.
