I don't know what to say about a place where the food is very good, but the service is usually very bad. I think the wait staff has good intentions, but if the place is busy, you will sit there for 90 minutes waiting for the most simple order to be fulfilled by the kitchen, assuming you even get everything you ordered. I would be encouraged if I planned to open a restaurant in Gaffney that offered a slightly more upscale experience and made a menu with more than Chinese, Mexican and meat-and-three. The demand is there, maybe too much demand. read more

Absolutely the worse. They definitely know how to ruin a Father's Day. The cook had zero energy and hardly talked to anyone at our table. He couldn't get anyone's order at our table correct. We will never come back here. Not sure how this place has a 4 star. They were more focused on pre closing than taking care of customers. We were in the neighborhood so we stopped in for some Chinese food. We were initially seated just outside the large room that has the 'cook on the table area' (or whatever it is formally called). There was already a large group in there. I have no idea what was going on, but those customers were SCREAMING! That's right, actually yelling and screaming in there. We were completely taken aback. Did someone need an ambulance? Nope. Just rude customers that didn't care about anyone else except their party. Who the heck acts like that in a restaurant?? They were completely ignorant people and the restaurant didn't do anything about it. We thought about leaving since no one had even come to our table to take our order. Once they finally came, we asked to be moved far away from that open grill area and closer to the front door. Ugh. We each had the hibachi combo. Made a reservation for 1:00 on New Year's Day. All of our party was there at 1:00. Hostess set a party in front of us that had no reservations and we waited 1 1/2 hours for our chef to start cooking. We had to leave at 3:00 with our food in to go boxes. Food was good but not the experience we had hoped for. read more

Service was great but the food was NOT good. He used garlic butter in everything and someone in our party doesn't eat garlic. He put eggs in the rice and once again she doesn't eat eggs. He didn't ask anything about if anyone didn't eat garlic, eggs or mixed vegetables. The chicken was tender but no flavor. No flavor in the rice either. Best Sushi in the area! A nice selection of sushi rolls, and every time we've eaten here, we're always impressed with how fresh and delicious everything is. We've never gotten teppanyaki but friends highly recommended it as well. Honestly, this is our favorite sushi place in North GA, and whether you dine in or get takeout, you can't go wrong. So, the place is beautiful. Service-wise, our waitress was nice and prompt. The other staff, however, were cussing a lot behind the bar in conversation with one another--it felt like a PG-13 movie with 'GD' this and that throughout my whole meal. That alone is unprofessional for what's supposed to be a medium-class restaurant; this isn't Waffle House. Food-wise, the soup was high quality. We ordered a filet and some sushi, and the sushi we received was great--the Mango Tango roll was excellent. The 'filet,' though, was 1000% a New York strip at best. It was the thinnest, toughest hibachi steak I've ever had. Ordered medium, it was definitely not even close to that. The rice was subpar in my opinion, and while the yum yum sauce was good--not great--it was very watery. I realize some places have their own take on this, and it's a personal preference, but I enjoy a good balance where it's not basically milk on my plate. I feel robbed, honestly, about the steak. Maybe the experience is different on the hibachi side, where obviously you can't hand someone a New York strip and charge them for a filet. I'm not the type to complain in the moment; I'd rather not deal with this on my date night. I hope y'all get it right for the next person. Took longer then expected to get a table for two, they said 45mins....we've been waiting over and hour....bad business will NEVER RECOMMEND!

What a great experience! My family came here for my birthday and it exceeded expectations! Our chef, Joshua, was awesome. He was so engaging, knew everyone's names, and made delicious food while entertaining everyone. He sang a couple songs with his guitar and even surprised me with a song he picked that was extra significant to me. He had the entire area singing along! Our waitress was hustling and on top of everything. Everyone got to-go boxes because the food was superb! The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for. Sushi is good. Last time I checked and that's when they first open. Ramen is horrible. Very lazy. Calamari it's good but after having them ramen I question the calamari too. It wasn't rings and tentacles like traditional calamari. It was chopped and I could of sworn I was eating chicken. Sometimes when you fry fish and chicken grease it gives it a good flavor. We went for my granddaughter's birthday. We had to wait for a hibachi table. After being seated, we were watching the other tables being entertained by their chefs. Drinks, salads & soups were brought out & then our chef came out very quietly. He tried throwing rice into our mouths & missed everyone's except 1. He was very quiet & not entertaining at all.
