Sushi was fresh and delivered at a good time. Ordered the spicy Maki combo, yam Maki and crazy salmon roll. Overall sushi could have been more vinegary. Rolls were good size. Fish was fresh. Only think is that I found the rolls bland. Salad was also bland. There was dressing but could not taste any flavour off of it. Would not come back. Other sushi restaurants are better. read more

The woman there does not have any pleasant manners. When requesting either a glass of water or a fill up, she appears to have an issue with it every single time as she makes it appear like you are disturbing her and provides a very mean look whenever you ask. I am always very polite and say "thank you" when ever she brings me a plate or a drink or even the bill but she never ever responds. Also, she is very short with customers coming in to order take out. Do not ever complain about something that you receive as she has a very short fuse and will lose it on you. This was some of the best sushi I have ever had. I ordered 30 minutes before closing, so was unsure if they would still offer everything. They did. The gyoza and chicken teriyaki were fresh and hot. The sashimi tasted fantastic. They were thick cut. I was concerned it may be too gummy because of the cut, but it was perfect. We also ordered a red dragon roll and a kamekachi roll. They were very yummy. This is probably going to be my new regular sushi place. read more

I came here on a Saturday for lunch. A small place with simple décor. It has many tables and 4 booths. Dated, but clean. The people working there appeared to be the owners. They were friendly enough, but all business. Service was good and plates were cleared quickly. The food was good the service was good, but when it came time to pay is where my problem started, I was there September 7, 2018 at 5:30pm with my son and We where the only one in the restaurant. So it's not like you could mess up the bill. There all you can eat menus say Fri/Sat are 22.99 for all you can eat. (No drinks just water) So that would be $25.98 each after tax. When using my debit to pay, price on the screen was $51.95 (left cash on table for tip) but when I got home and went to pay some bills I seen that I was charged much more $63.26. A difference of $11.30. See debit transaction photo. If you choice to eat here check your bank account before leaving. Since I did not get a bill for my purchase my bank can't do anything. read more

This is a cute place in Oshawa but nothing special. Food; We got chicken bento box with veg tempura and it was not that impressive. It came with miso soup and salad. The salad was very tiny like three pieces of lettuce. When the box came the rice was undercooked and not sticky rice, even the rice in the sushi was not sticky. The chicken was basic boiled chicken with sauce on it, only good thing was it has some veggies underneath. It also came with gyoza which tasted like cardboard, and tempura which was decent. They watered down their soya sauce so we had to use a lot to get flavour. Service ; The service was bad, the women serving us was on her phone most of the time we were there. Found this restaurant through Yelp (thanks again!) and decided to give it a try as it was near the hotel. The decor is basic but the service is fast and friendly. I ordered a bento box and it came with teriaky shrimp, fried dumplings and a California roll. Everything was fresh and good and the California roll was freshly made and still a bit warm, as I like it. Don't think I will be back in Oshawa but would go back to the restaurant if I would. It's a little gem well hidden by an ugly facade - don't worry, it's very good and affordable. read more

This place is awful for service and delivery. I placed an order and got my order 3 hours later. I called multiple times to be told that they didn't know when my order was getting to me and hanging up on me multiple times. I finally called and asked for the delivery company's number, as I was told the order was picked up an hour prior. The delivery company was amazing and told me that they just picked up the order so the restaurant lied to me, and the driver brought it right over and told me that this company is awful to deal with. Cashier is rude and unprofessional she will talk over you and interrupt you whenever you try to speak about a problem with the order. she also tampered with my food and held it hostage when I refused to be over charged after already paying for my order. She read out my whole order twice as she was at the register and we paid a sufficient amount for the sushi, the additional $20 was outrageous for a cucumber hand roll. She probably thought she could scam more money out of us and then played a power move by withholding our food. I wanted a refund at this point because I didn't want their food after being mistreated by this woman and she insisted they don't know how to do refunds and I should just pay more money if I want my food. Then was aggressive slamming doors to the back of the restaurant and would switch languages when speaking to me. when I looked at my food it was apparent she took stuff out we paid for. Wouldn't stop talking to listen to what I had to say until I was leaving but continued to yell at me as I left the restaurant with my bag to go. I went last night... I was really really disappointed... this was my first time here.. and looking forward to some comfort food.. I paid $12.00 for a plate that was just over half full of noodles... there was MAYBE 2 oz. Of chicken.. it was really disappointing... the lady at the front was not very friendly or approachable... We were visiting Oshawa and decided to bring my mother-in-law and brother-in-law to their first Japanese food experience. We decided to try something local and after looking at Yelp, we decided on Osaka. To cut the story short, my in-laws loved it. They tried seaweed salad, some rolls, udon, tempura, unagi handroll, fried calamari & gyozas. They serve pretty good food. I come from California where we have awesome sushi so I won't compare. This place is mine & my wife's go-to sushi restaurant. We live in Ajax and FOR SURE it is worth the short drive when we desire to go out for sushi. The atmosphere seems to be like other low key sushi restaurants. If you desire a fancy restaurant & experience then in that case I wouldn't recommend this spot. But in any other case I DEFINITELY would. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. The food is tremendous! 99% of the time the waitress/operator will be extremely pleasant to deal with and polite. Their prices are good. I'd definitely recommend people to go there especially if they are close. If you don't live in Oshawa but are still in Durham Region, I wouldn't hesitate to make the short drive. You will have a good time and a good meal for a good price if you choose to dine there. read more

They were really nice about our complicated reservations request. (We had people joining last minute and I had questions about all you can eats and a la cartes sitting together). Very friendly and prompt. They allowed two of us to not do all you can eat and sit with the rest of the group. Of course, we played by the rules and had a great time. Went to Osaka for lunch with 7 coworkers today for lunch , the server told us we could not order from the lunch special menu . She told us we were a large group and we all had to order the All You Can Eat menu - which was twice as much as the lunch special . They have it in fine writing on their menu if you have 6 or more people, you HAVE to pay 15%. And they neglected to inform us about the extra payment. And we chose all you can eat, but that fine print was on the regular menu. Who looks at that when you are having all you can eat. Not going their again due to their sneaky measures. read more

Due to the fact that she didn't like us she didn't serve us the rest of our food, talking on the phone while giving out food to other customers, and talked smack about my guest and I in a different language, thinking that I didn't understand. This is the WORST AYCE sushi place I have EVER been to in my life! The selection for lunch is smaller than other places, they are very slow to get your order out if they send it at all. The waitress is incredibly rude and is frequently witnessed yelling at customers as well as calling them names. Decent sushi, great service, great environment. Prices for the all you can eat dinner are a bit steep but food is good. Tempura, most rolls, and sushi were really great, wasn't a fan of the vegetable udon and the beef teriyaki roll. But all in all, great place to go to in Oshawa.
