We really like Oscar Brown's. They have great food, great service. They're always friendly. The restaurant is located on a hill inside the golf course. One of our guests is older and so they let us drive up the hill to drop guests off, and then park in lot afterwards. I think that's very kind and helpful. Arrived at 7:49pm on a Friday night. A long line of people were exiting the restaurant as I entered. The place was still busy. Not a real big place. But nice sized. Within a few seconds of me entering and looking around I was directed to seat myself. I chose a booth. The inside is decorated with some interesting sports Memorabilia. There are several TV screen showing different sports. My waitress arrived within a minute or two and took my drink and food order. I ordered a tall draft and the Beef Nachos. 10-15 minutes later my waitress brought me a giant plate of Nachos and advised me the plate was hot. For $13.00 it was well worth it! They were delicious. I could only eat half. I took the rest home. The service was excellent. My waitress was attentive, polite and friendly. The bill was just under $20 for a tall beer and the Beef Nachos. Fast and friendly service, great food, and great casual atmosphere year round. This is my favorite spot at the lake and you usually get to see some deer wandering the grounds as you drive in! Been here only a couple of times. It's a Lenten Friday, and they didn't disappoint. I got the fish taco, but I kind of wanted something else. So I got a bowl of Tomato Basil soup thinking whatever, it's just something to fill me up. Well it was one of the tastiest soups I have ever had. So delicious. This is one of my favourite places to eat in Branch county! Service is usually outstanding, the drinks are pretty cheap and the food is outstanding! I love the shrimp tacos, the boom boom sauce is out of this world good! I highly recommend this place! Waited well over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and we didn't order anything too complicated - fish & shrimp tacos and a hamburger. This was our first visit so I can't say if this was an anomaly or par for the course (pardon the pun!). When our food finally arrived it was hot and very good. Especially the shrimp tacos. Would definitely order them again. The hamburger also was well-received. Just don't come here super hungry or expecting to carry on a meaningful conversation. Dinner here was a major mistake not to be made again. Our table of eight was sat quickly and given waters quickly and drinks came after a few. Fine. Then our server disappeared for ~15 minutes. So that was annoying. Then we ordered. About 45 LONG MINUTES later, the food finally arrived (though the first plate arrived 10 minutes before the last one). I had the Mushroom Swiss burger, which was served on a very soggy bun that fell apart with very few fries. Girlfriend had the Chicken Ranch/bacon sandwich, which was impossible to eat as a sandwich. So she deconstructed it, and all of the breading slid off of the chicken. Grandma ordered the salmon, which was undercooked and she didn't eat it. Much like my father! His fried pullock was very cold - and although it was "unlimited", he didn't dare order more because of how long it took to get in the first place. My sister had a pulled pork sandwich, which was also with a soggy bun and coleslaw on top, though she asked for no coleslaw, and 8-10 fries. The other meals at the table were very average. The server never checked on us after the food was brought over. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating and horrible dining experiences of my life. Do not go here. read more

Service was absolutely fantastic. I was skeptical at first when I saw that there was only one waitress waiting on about 20 people, but what can I say, the waitress did not miss a beat, and there was not a single moment in which I had to wait on asking her for something I needed. My order was taken promptly, and the food came out very quick. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, and the fried chicken was fresh and soft. My wife was not super impressed w/ her New York strip steak, but being that we ate there out of season on a week night, the food overall was good. I will definitely be eating there more after Easter when they will have their full menu every day, and I am glad to have a restaurant this close to my house. The food was also pretty cheap. Nestled among wooded green fairways and putting greens, the restaurant offers a well diversified American food menu, a full bar with plenty of beer choices, and reasonable prices. We sat outside on the wood deck patio with a party of 12 and our table was preset before we arrived. Our server was super attentive, friendly, and provided and informative background about the beginnings of the restaurant. I personally had the fish tacos and I can tell you that they were some of the tastiest fish tacos I've ever had - and that's from someone who lives in Southern California. The inside bar/eating area had a great, fun vibe replete with flat screen TV's and nary and empty bar seat.
