Hard review.., I really don't like this type of food.. but we went to have steak that is cooked on a stone and so we could eat outside.. that didn't work out no steak and outside closed (beautiful evening).. so hubby went with brisket and I ate salad. Our server was delightful, knowledgeable, efficient etc. Hubby ordered a Manhattan (they brag up their liquor assortment)..it was served in a plastic glass with no ice. This place had wonderful wings. They have a good about of sauces to choose from that are all delicious. I recommend the Blackberry Bbq sauce for the wings! We drove to Angola for our birthday weekend to try this spot out, and it did not disappoint! There was lots of parking, and it was huge inside. This place gives you a great at-home hangout vibe. There were lots of TVs, and it was very clean inside. Our waitress, HAYLEE, was amazing and on top of everything. The menu had a nice variety. The alcohol beverages were amazing. The $2.00 Bush Light in a can was a great price and made me feel at home. Our fried pickles and fried green tomatoes came out fast, hot, and delicious. Not many places serve fried green tomatoes. Most fried food at restaurants is not patted dry, and the breading falls off, but not these - they were perfect. All of our food came out perfectly. The cheesecake was to die for. Visited this place on a Sunday late afternoon. The host sat us immediately and we were surrounded by tv's in all directions. Our waiter was very helpful as this was our first visit and didn't know what to choose. I decided to go with the peanut butter burger which was really delicious and different! We have been to Jed's 3 or 4 times and it's always disappointing. The food is at best average, and the service is really bad. Also, the back 1/4 of the restaurant is an open air office where the manager (owner?) sits and chats constantly with his younger staff. The whole scene gets pretty frustrating when you sit there waiting for someone to acknowledge you, get your drink, bring your bill, etc. Last time we were in we were maybe 2 of 5 customers in the place and felt like we were a huge inconvenience. Floor staff all stood around the owners "office" and chatted the whole time, oblivious/disinterested in us completely. It's just a depressing experience. read more

When we walked in, it was definitely giving "local spot" vibes. This was solidified when I saw multiple guests come in and be greeted as regulars. I witnessed the owner go to a table and joke around with a couple. On his way back, he stopped at our table to make sure we were happy. I could not rave enough about the homemade ranch and wings! Decided to try jeds for the second time tonight. Excellent service! Our daughter asked for her fish dinner and fries to be seasoning free. Other places call these Boneless Wings and sell you 10 for $11 or more!! Not Jed's! They sell you about 15 for $11 or $12. Not that great of a difference right?? WRONG!! Decided to give this place a try. We were greeted right away and seated right away but unfortunately, we waited a long time with no one coming to the table to offer to get us a drink or take our food order. We finally stopped a server whose name was Amanda making an inquiry - and Amanda apologized profusely and she took us over as her table and from that point forward everything was wonderful on service. My friend and I ordered cheese curds as an appetizer and they are definitely worth ordering. They are served with your choice of marinara or ranch on the side and I highly recommend getting the ranch as this is homemade at Jed's and you are going to enjoy it. Also, Amanda informed us when she brought the cheese curds that those were on the house due to our wait. We appreciated the acknowledgment - and the cheese curds! We decided to try their chicken wings since all of the online reviews we could find spoke about these. They were wonderful. We ordered five Honey BBQ style and five Asian style. We could not decide which flavor we enjoyed more. We also received more ranch dressing with the wings! It was so good, we brought home all the extras. We also selected two sides - tater tots and coleslaw. We noticed that coleslaw was mentioned as included with lots of the sandwiches, and Amanda informed us they make that too. A trip to Jed's should not be made without trying the coleslaw. It was delicious! And the tater tots were exactly as expected. Very good. And a nice sized little basket of them. Once we got past the long wait to start ordering, I would say our experience was great and my friend and I both agreed we would come back again. Not much ambience, bar and booths. We've been to Jed's in other parts of the country before, but this one tops them all. We had wonderful service, a very attentive server, and wonderful consideration for our dog Charlie. As we were seated on the patio, we were immediately greeted by our server, who promptly gave Charlie a mat to lie on and a big bowl of ice water. She then presented a menu for us and one for Charles. Charlie had brisket and we had wings. The brisket lasted about five seconds and the wings were huge. The owner came out and poured heaps of love on Charlie as well as giving him some shredded cheese. Jed's is the perfect spot to catch a game and some drinks. After a couple visits I've decided my favorite thing on the meu is the pepper jack cubes. They have the perfect amount of kick. I also really like the brisket dinner. It had some more fat on it than I typically like but it was easy enough to cut off and the meat was very well cooked. We were served our raw steak to be placed on our hot rock to cook with a steak knife under the bloody meat. We need tongs/fork or something to turn the raw meat. I dont want to turn raw meat then eat with same bloody fork. The plate to place the cooked meat on was to small to cut up meat. We had to ask for the hot rock to be moved from our table after cooking it so we had room to eat .It honestly was a good experience but the wait staff was lil inexperienced with the hot rock. Great for what is is: a basic sports bar with cheap beer and hearty portions of calorie-heavy fare like loaded fries, fried cheese curds, wings, ribs etc. Their signature dish is fried chicken balls (really just chunks of white meat chicken, lightly breaded) with any number of toppings (cheese, chili, mushrooms, sauces, etc).
