Gel nail manicure specific: This place is pretty poorly organized. Extremely stressful getting in there, the energy is hectic for a place where you're supposed to be able to sit back and relax. Don't get any designs on your nails, they will not turn out well. I set up an appointment with someone that was recommended to me, and when I got there I was helped 20 minutes late, and instantly turned away by the person I scheduled my appointment with. I then had to be moved 2 other times to other desks and was given some random person to do my gel nails. It was highly embarrassing. I also wasn't offered a drink and the whole process seemed rushed like they were just trying to push me out. I will say, my friend that goes here agrees it's stressful, but she does get good service, so it seems it's hit or miss. read more

Made an appointment online and the day I arrive there was no greeting when I entered in. They Just told me to sign in and I let them know I had made an appointment they looked at me and looked at their coworker like I should know to just sign in. It was my first time here. My daughter and I came in for scheduled pedicures at 11:30. By 11:45 both of the men, who did our pedicures, were finished, had everything cleaned up, and were gone! We have never had such bad pedicures ever! I think they were irritated in the beginning because we got basic pedicures; which we always get whenever we get a pedicure. I made 4 apts for my mom and sisters. They started us 25 min late. Cut my sisters toe to the point where is was bleeding and they couldn't even do half the pedicure. My other sisters lady refused to cut her left nails the same as her right, so my sister asked for the file to do it herself. There are three nail salons within a mile of my home and since I wasn't sure what my schedule was going to be, I figured I'd have a good chance as a walk-in for a basic pedicure (I had been here before with no appointment and it was fine). It was crowded when I arrived but I was told they could fit me in in 10 minutes which was reasonable. Not long after 10 minutes I was led to a chair and told to soak my feet. So far so good, right? But then I sat and sat and sat in water that turned tepid and then cold. Twice I signaled to someone to inquire about when I would get my pedicure and was told someone would be right with me. I ended up waiting close to 45 minutes before I was attended to and then the service was rushed. I didn't want polish but needed a good nail trim and foot buff in advance of a hiking trip. The best part is always the leg massage but this time, not so much. Had I been told the wait would be as long as it was, I would have gone elsewhere. It took a turn at the manicure when the guy who did my nails did a full manicure with acrylic and shellac in under 20 minutes, my nails are bumpy and there was no cuticle work at all. I would come back for a pedicure but would not recommend a manicure. My daughter and I went to Oscar Nail Salon (12/6/20). My daughter asked for a dip service and I received a regular manicure. The tech that worked on my daughter's nails was doing such a terrible job that another technician had to take over. She ended up with shellac nails instead of dip because they could not fix the dip. My regular manicure was rushed and the technician could not have been less interested in my manicure. Last night I noticed significant chipping of the polish (day 3). We were at the salon for 2+ hours because of the debacle of my daughter's nails (my mani teas complete in under 20 minutes). For our trouble we received 20% off with hardly an apology. This business is a joke! First off, months ago, one of the nail techs we went to for months faithfully (Lom), we got told by 'staff' on the phone that she didn't work there anymore. Then, after finding a new tech, lo and behold went in next time and she's still employed there! The receptionist said she would bring it up to the owner but that never went anywhere, as figured, and to this day still get told "I don't know who told you that." Then, most every time you book an appointment with Edmond, they say he's running behind and shove you off to whomever, then he's done within a couple of minutes after you start with the tech you DID NOT make an appointment with (like we are not observant). Then, this tops it off......you just call to make an appointment and the receptionist says "you've been put on a block list and can't make an appt!!!!!" A BLOCK LIST?!!!! Seriously, you can shove this flaky, poor scheduling business you know where because I am so sick of dealing with a bunch of liars for whatever reason it is. This is the most unprofessional consistent behavior from a business that I think I've ever dealt with; can't believe I've let it go on this long! Most salons who run a successful business, pride themselves in customer service, but NOT this one! Had to update my original review. Unfortunately a lot of the things I loved about Oscar have gone to the wayside. About a year ago they lost a lot of techs and one of those was my go-to; she was amazing. Now when I book an appointment it doesn't matter because I never get in on time because they continue to take walk-ins and last time my tech was so rushed I had to remind her to file my other set of toe nails on my other foot; she complexly forgot one of my feet and started doing something else. She apologized and said she was so busy. I loved coming here because it's super convenient but the last two times I've been here haven't been worth the price. I booked her again for an upcoming wedding and when I showed up for the appointment I was told with no warning that Betty no longer worked there. She would not listen to me about the uneven shape of my nails and instead insisted that my nails "grow sideways". WORST WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY! SOPHIA was the worst. She did the worst manicure and pedicure. For all this, I chose a DELUXE MANICURE AND DELUXE PEDICURE to attend an event. She complained the whole time. She wanted to get her job done ASAP because her boss told her not to spend too much time on a customer :( The regular nail polish came off the next day. She hurt my left index finger, and it started bleeding right away that lasted for a couple of days. She did not even give me a top coat for my finger nails until I told her and she kept telling me the whole time she did :( . This is because she started dealing with another new customer before complete her job with the existing customer. And to make things worse, my nails chipped off the next day. I was better off without a manicure. She complained to her coworker in Vietnamese the whole time while doing my pedicure and that coworker gave me "glares" the whole time I was there at this place like it was my fault for whatever reason. The vibe is the worst... I highly recommend not spend your time and money at this place! I would have complained to the owner right away, but there seem to be too many people..
