While Oscar was very nice and polite on the phone, and quoted me $225 ($80 less than Safelite), he never made it over to actually do the repair. First he said he'd call me back in twenty minutes to get my address, and would be there the next morning at 10. Didn't call. Called back my husband's phone (that I dialled from) the next morning, saying he'd lost my number. Why not dial back the previous night? Then he wanted to come over before 11, when the World Cup match started. That's not an issue, if he'd just told me he couldn't come that day at all, that would have been fine. It's a big match, I get it. But instead he continued delaying and not returning my calls until I just told him not to bother. At that point, I had been waiting around until 3pm and wasted the entire day. I don't know about you, but I only get two days of weekend and wasn't happy about having to cancel my plans when after waiting all day, I still had no windshield. If he'd told me from the beginning that he couldn't make it until the following Monday, I could have planned around it. Now I'm stuck spending more and waiting an extra six hours for Safelite, but at least they took down detailed info and sound like they are actually going to show up. read more

I totally found Oscar's Auto Glass service here, and I couldn't be happier. I needed a new windshield, that had been cracked for years, and a new window that some punk in the neighborhood decided to shoot a bebe gun through.(Well I dunno if was a bebe gun or a real gun, but I hope it was a bebe gun...All I know is that I came back with a spider-webbed window with a perfect hole in the middle of it one day. Anyway, Oscar and his son were fast, and professional when it came to fixing my car. He even charged me less than the quote over the phone! The prices were so great, my boyfriend said, "I kinda wish I had a broken window and windshield too, just because it was so cheap." OK, time to knock on wood. read more

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Oscar. After "completing" the window repair, he forgot to replace a part of the door. I called and texted him out it, and he said he found the piece in his car, but he never offered to bring it back. After pressing him for a time to bring it back, he said he'd be by in the morning (today). He never got in touch with me, and so I called him, and he said he DIDN'T have the part in his truck after all, he couldn't find it, and he had no idea what happened to it (not sure why he lied and told me he did have the part). He wanted the VIN to my car, so he could order it from the dealer. I went down to the car to retrieve the VIN, and the car battery was dead. I called him back, and asked if everything had been hooked up correctly, and he said he had no idea why it would be dead, but he would stop by today. Four hours later, he has not appeared. I have no idea if he's ordered the part to the car door that he misplaced. I see others have had a good experience with him, but unfortunately that wasn't the case for me. I too found Oscar on Yelp. My windshield cracked over the weekend, and I called Oscar first thing Monday morning. My friend had told me that a new windshield would likely run me $400, so when Oscar said it would be $165 I was very happy. He drove to my office and fixed the windshield in my garage while I worked. The windshield looks better than the original one did when I first bought the car! I would definitely recommend him if you need a window or windshield fixed. read more

I made an appointment, they had a slot available the next day, they showed up at my house, I came out to bring them to my car, I went in to watch television, 30 minutes later i got a knock on my door and they were all done. IT WAS THAT EASY. Oscar and his employee were VERY polite, nice, and respectable. For $170 I got my front passenger window replaced. The dealer quoted $435 plus tax so about $465. I would definitely go back, but lets hope I wont need to :) read more

My windshield broke on a road trip, the crack started small, but over the next few months, it snaked its way across the whole glass, so I had to get it replaced. I called like 5 places, Oscar's was by far the cheapest AND he comes right to your place, work or home. I called him and on the same day, a few hours later, he was there. He was a little late which is why I gave him 4 stars instead of 5. He was stuck trying to find the window for my car so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I wish I could be reviewing Oscar's for their service, but I'm reviewing them for their LACK of service. There was a misunderstanding with scheduling, and I was not there when they thought we had an appointment. First of all, it was supposed to be at 7am, and I got a voice message at 8:00am. So they were already an hour late to the supposed meeting time. I called to apologize because I really believed the appointment was for the next day. Anyways, I re-scheduled with him, and he thanked me for calling back. Come the appointment time the next day, I waited for half an hour, and called them. Nobody picks up. I keep calling and nobody picks up. Finally after at least 10 calls, the owner picks up. He apologizes profusely for nobody showing up when they were supposed to and says he will remedy it by showing up himself as early as I want him to come. I re-schedule again, and I ask for 6:30am since I get into work early. Come that day (after only having 5 hours of sleep), I wake up, and wait. 6:45 am passes, I call them. Of course, nobody picks up. I happen to have another number (which I think is an employee's cell), and someone picks up and says they don't open till 8:00am, so they'll be getting there at 8am. First of all, don't promise to be somewhere when you aren't planning on showing up!!! I finally get a hold of the owner at 8am, and he says sorry, he couldn't find anyone to get out there that early - but he told me he would come himself so he should be able to get there before opening hours!! Then, he says they'll be there in less than 10 minutes. They didn't show up till 30 minutes later. The thing that bothers me is that the owner is telling me LIES. If he can't make it before their regular opening times, he needs to tell me this instead of promising me he'll be there and causing me to waste my time waiting. I don't even know why I gave him a second chance. Only that there aren't too many repair places near me, and he was the only easy option. Anyhow, guys show up to repair my windshield, and they were pretty professional. I've never had a crack repaired before, but it looked smaller than it was before the repair. So for the actual work, I would give a higher rating...but I'll need to wait 6 months to see if it gets bigger. I paid $50 to repair a windshield w/ a crack about 1" long. This price seems pretty fair especially since they come to you. Anyways, for the inconvenience of not showing up and then showing up 2 hours late, they should have offered me some kind of discount. Came out from work and had a palm tree branch land on my back windshield. ah! Oscar and his brother were extremely helpful. Did a great job at a great rate. Unfortunately, they didn't get all the glass that had somehow gotten under my speaker case. When I called they said I could bring it in and got all of it out. Agree with all of the reviews here, both good and bad. I had the rear side window of my truck broken into while out of town. After getting estimates from multiple places, Oscar's was definitely the best price by far and came to my house to do the job within a few hours! He was running a bit late but communicated well with me about it (and it was only ~30 min). There was an additional piece that I needed, which we didn't realize until replacing the window, and he offered to replace it for me for free but had to get the part. He said it should only cost a few bucks. This is where the only negative part starts. He called me the next day telling me the dealer had to order the part but I had to pick it up the next day. I had a few questions after that, but from that point on he NEVER RESPONDED to a single text or call. I eventually went to the dealer to get the part, ended up waiting around forever, only to find out he ordered the WRONG SIDE, and it was $35, not "a few." In the end he fixed my window quickly, correctly, and for the best price, but he definitely has communication issues. read more

Wow I found him on Yelp for replacement of my IS250 windshield...gave him a call and made a mistake on my model of windshield (i thought mine had rain sensor), but no problem...Oscar came back the next day with tinted windshield (i paid extra $40) and everything came out to be $265!?!? Gotta be kidding since I needed my car and was ready to pay anywhere between $300 to $450...god! Oscar was nice and worked in my garage. He cleaned up all the shattered glasses and now I am back to normal life... I told him i would refer him to my friends and family but i honestly hope I would never have to...drive safe to everyone! read more

I just had my passenger window fixed after a break-in yesterday. Oscar and his team are very personal and professional. They asked a bunch of questions to make sure they had everything they needed in order to fix it. They even made sure my glass/window was the exact same as previous and cleaned out all broken glass inside/around the door. Very unprofessional! I had a really bad experience with these guys. From past couple of days, I have been dealing with them. It took me 3 calls to get hold of some one first. That guy said that the replacement can be done tomorrow and that the technician will contact me in another 30 mins for taking down address etc. No one called for the rest of the day. I called this morning to check whether the appointment was still on. This other guy was pretty clueless first and then said that someone will come to the address around noon. Noon passed and I tried at least 10 times to reach them and every time the call went to voicemail. No one showed up! End of the day, it seems they have no interest in keeping up with the appointments not do they understand the concept of follow ups. The night before a planned trip, my back window got smashed, so I needed it replaced as quickly as possible. Oscar picked up the phone (way after business hours), scheduled an appointment for first thing the next morning, arrived on time (even a bit earlier than he had said), and got the job done well, at a really reasonable price. He even went above and beyond, as one of the components he had wasn't fitting correctly, so he made a quick run to Home Depot to pick up a new one -- it was so quick I didn't even know he had gone. On a Saturday morning after leaving work I had a foot-long metal pole come out of nowhere to shatter my windshield on the 405. After freaking out and calling CHP, I went to Yelp to find a nearby glass repair place - Oscar's came up. I called the number and at 7am he answered and said he could have my windshield fixed by 11am the same day. I had my car towed to the address listed (btw, the sign at the place says Beverly Hills Auto Body Group, not Oscar's). He showed up about 15 minutes after the tow truck dropped me off, very nice guy, even caught some shattered glass on my arm that I didn't know was there, made sure I was ok then went to look at the car. He had my car done by the time he stated, called me promptly to let me know it was done, and they even cleaned out all the broken glass inside my car for me. A few years ago I had my windshield (different car) shattered by a huge piece of ice (on East coast), the people who replaced that windshield charged me more than Oscar did, took longer (days), were rude and didn't even bother to clean out any of the broken glass inside my car, so I got to drive home sitting on broken glass. Oscar's was definitely worlds better and nicer, if you ever find yourself in an unfortunate situation needing auto glass work, I definitely recommend them! read more

Based on these reviews I called Oscar on a Friday and to my surprise he said he could replace my windshield same day, he would come to me! My car was at home and me at work so I made an appointment for the next day, a Saturday, sweet! The price seemed pretty good, $180 total for an '06. He did come an hour later than agreed, but I know Santa Monica traffic is crazy at that time. The best part was that I asked about a paint stain on top of my car and he gave a spray solution and a rag to hold onto that helped get it off, awesome!! read more

Good experience. The rear right small triangular window of my 2000 Toyota Corola had been broken. They came to my place and fixed it. Thet were supposed to come between 12 and 1 but they came at 3 pm. But once they were there it took 5 minutes. They cleaned all the glass pieces from my seat as well. They charged me $75 which seemed reasonable. Reason for the 4 stars : they didn't come at time they said they would. Secondly, I haven't been to anybody else for comparison. read more
