If I could give more then 5 stars I would. They were literally such a blessing to me in a very high stress time. I live 4 hours away from Redmond and my boyfriend broke down in our work van there right before a big snow storm. i was able to go get him but getting our van back with us was not an option. I kept in touch with Byron and he was literally a life saver. he helped locate my car when it was unintentionally towed. He went above and beyond to inform me about what had actually happened to our van because 2 other cars came in with the same problem. we all got a bad batch of gas there in Redmond. I will tell you that there was great communication the whole way. Fair prices, and work was done in a timely manner. I hope that anyone who has car troubles will go here because you will not be disappointed. We were away from home in Redmond Oregon when my 1999 Ford Expedition decided to blow out a spark plug. This is not exactly a small problem and not an inexpensive repair by any means. It's hard to say for sure that I was ripped off, but after leaving Oscars with almost a thousand dollars in work, I brought my car to a different mechanic for a separate problem. While briefly going over the work that Oscar's did, they mentioned to me that the part they replaced and the labor they charged me for was actually for a 100 dollar part and 20 minutes of labor, max. Maybe give them the benefit of the doubt, can't say for sure, but the idea of spending hundreds of unnecessary dollars is hard to wrestle with. Take this for what you will. read more

My husband had an issue with his truck at about 3:15 pm. He called Oscar's and they said bring it right down, which we did. They said they would call him within an hour to tell him what was wrong, and they did - with an estimation. They worked on it and got it back to us before they closed at 7:00, it was done by 6:20 pm. Oscar was our saving grace!!! Our car was towed to his shop and he did a thorough check, ordered the parts, fixed my car and even styed late to get it completed. THEN he even drove it back to me in Sandy. He even called back the next day to make sure everything was okay. I wish I lived closer to Redmond then 2 hours or more. Be careful people when getting a quote from Oscars.....I took my vehicle to them to get a power steering leak quote and they gave me an outrageously high quote....as a single female we have to be careful.....they also went into detail about how the owner had to pay a $5,000.00 business tax........Luckily I got a second quote from a different mechanic.....while Oscars quoted me $510.00 for the repair another business did the job for $160.00..... read more

Do NOT do business with this company!!!! You make arrangements with the owner to do a tow job for a certain price, then his son intervenes and tells you, no it's not 75 bucks it's 100... Then they come out to tow you out and shatter your windshield... They then tell you to not worry about paying anything, it was their goof up. You don't need to pay for the towing and they will replace your windshield... Then you decide you're going to pay 100 towards the replacement of the windshield because that would be the right thing to do since it did have a crack in it. However, you haven't told them this as of yet... They come to you and tell you that they're NOT going to fix your windshield until you pay them 100 bucks! It was their screw up! It was their dishonesty in quoting one price and then changing it! Yes we paid the 100 bucks, but that should have been OUR choice! They should NOT have FORCED us to pay! THAT is just NOT right. They are DISHONEST and should NOT get the business of hard working people!!!!!!! read more
