Hey a good old time barber shop where the guys take their time, listen to what you want and then professionally cut your hair. Not the fast and pseudo-stylish. salon cut where they throw water on your hair, cut it a bit, say it is stylish and you are done in 10 minutes. Sit back, take your time, these guys look at your hair not themselves in a mirror. And the price is about the same, maybe a bit less. Great place for us guys, check it out. read more

Oscar's Barber Shop - Cuts along the line up, very painful - Barbers Near Me - Avondale, Arizona

So far we've be to 2 barbershops this morning trying to get my husband and the boys haircut. But, damnit... we refuse to give our money to people who are unprofessional and/or with poor customer service skills. DO NOT GO THEIR! It's called jaimes now, but the absolute worst haircut I've ever had! I literally had to keep tellin them time after time (5x for sure) how I wanted my line and they still managed to mess it up! The fade was awful, doesn't even blend in at all and it's soooo crooked. What a great place! Went there today and was in a chair within seconds of walking in. It was a nice clean atmosphere, not too crowded. Great layout and nice decorating. Eddie was my barber and he did a great job on my hair. He was very personable, and the service was very affordable, so I could leave a larger tip :) I will definitely be going back! read more

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone Caucasian. Apparently they only take Hispanic people... I stopped in for a quick cut the other day. (I'm white) I walked in, wasn't greeted by any of the three working there, they pretended I didn't even walk in. I made it a point to say "good afternoon" and yet still nothing. Alright well I needed a cut so I sat and waited. It was apparent that there was one gentleman ahead of me so I figured it wouldn't be too long. After about 10 min a man with three 10-12 year old kids walked in. He was immediately greeted. The guy in front of me was up on the chair, then another chair opened. Without even looking at me once he quickly grabbed one of the three that walked in after me. So I waited to see if the next barber would do the same. Which he did. I waited 45 min until walking out. Terrible service. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I've been trying to like this place and have gone more times than I should have at this point. Being the shop closest to home at times it feels like I don't have another choice. The number system is a joke. It's basically a free for all. People wait for certain barbers and congest the flow of people. Also I understand its a barber shop and you have to "chop it up" with co-workers etc. but damn I don't want to hear about your cocaine use, your marijuana use, the last time you cheated on your girlfriend, and how she cooked dinner for you the same day after you did your scumbag acts. AND have me wait in the chair while you talk about it before cutting it. Bottomline, this shop is poorly managed. The cuts are not worth the experience. read more

Waited an hour and a half today and left without a hair cut. The barbers here spend more time talking to each other and chatting with their clients currently in the chair them they do cutting hair. They do a great job, but I don't have time to wait 2 hours. We've been going here since they opened their doors, but today was the last time. read more

I just called to make an appointment and ask if they accept children. Dude that answered the phone was RUDE. He hung up on me and when I called back to ask the 2nd question, he answered me and then right before he hung up on me AGAIN, he told me don't come. Poor customer service!! We have been coming since they opened day one. My seven year old and my brother have both gotten their hair done here twice a month. They always do a great job. Sometimes you can tell some of them don't want to be there but they are always great at what they do. read more

Maps says it opens at 8 but it opens at 830 we showed up early and only one worker telling us there will be more workers showing up. I'm a business professional and I always show up at least 30 minutes before the business opens so that I am set up and ready to take on clients. Come on workers you need to show up on time and you shouldn't have people waiting for you to get your stuff set up. Won't be showing up here again. Poor service. read more

So I visited Oscars barbershop for the first time today and i feel as if i got a half ass haircut that honestly only lasted 10 minutes but still having ti pay full price. Nothing is more worse than getting a haircut and having to go home and fix the barbers mistakes.. The staff was friendly, thats pretty much the only reason i didn't complain and kept my mouth shut. But the guy that was doing my haircut seemed like he was in such a rush and did not take his time as all but the funny thing is the shop was dead. read more

I been to this barber shop a few times and only Javier is a good barber & has good customer service . But the man in the first chair has horrible customer service and always skips everybody in line . He has is own friends always going first before all the people that been waiting for hours . He is also very rude and a load mouth. I will never come here again. The wait time is horrible at this shop. It doesn't matter what number you choose, it's all about who they know. I've been here a few times with my son and always waited for over an hour. Very recently, there were not many people in there, probably about 4 customers and 7 Barbers. Still waited for over an hour! Why have a number system if you're not even going to use it?!!! read more

First time coming to this shop and I have to say it was a good choice. We arrived early morning, before 10am. It wasn't busy, as we walked in we were greeted and Jose at the first chair took my boyfriend in. Awesome haircut, very very nice aside of the side conversations with the other barbers which we don't mind because who doesn't love a good barber talk in the morning. I have been a customer of this barber shop for many years now. Even relocated to the east side and I still drove all the way to Avondale for my haircuts. But today is and will be the last time I go back. I was waiting to get a haircut from Javier 2nd chair from the door he had someone in his chair and one person waiting so I expected to wait 30-45 minutes never had an issue waiting. But I do have an issue waiting for a period of time thinking I'm next to get a hair cut and then have some one walk in and go strait to the barber chair without waiting. They don't advertise that they take appointments but I guess as long as your cool with the barbers you automatically have an appointment regardless of who was waiting first and mind you this is not the first time this has happened to me with the same barber!! No more oscars barber shop for me I would advise to stay away due to service of some certain barbers! read more

I have went to Oscars Barber Shop quite a few times now. I say the atmosphere is decent and most barbers are friendly. However, it has been hit and miss with this place. When they are busy, I always try new barbers rather than stay with the same ones because the line could get long. Sometimes the barber is good and sometimes the barber is terrible. One time I went the barber smelled like cigarettes and he was very aggressive when cutting my hair. I think his name was Eric. I stopped to tell him but he told me to not worry as he would "fix me up". I asked for a medium fade half, the guy gave me a skin fade and it looked disgusting. On the rare occasion, the new barbers could be decent. However I strongly recommend to avoid the new ones which are always at the end of the barber shop as I personally had bad experiences with them. If you stick with who you know, then this barber shop is a good place to get a cut. read more

I go here all the time. But the last time I went my normal barber was very busy so I tried a new barber. I don't remember his name but he is from New York. He messed up badly and didn't take his time. Will never cut with him again but other than that this place is great. read more
