Unfortunately I am rating this one stars for a reason. For price point, please review my menu pictures the cafe environment has changed since the last set of reviews. When you order the menu is very detailed but no photo to show size (but that's why we have yelp). When ordered the strawberry cheese cake crepe. I watched the order made. The crepe was undercooked and thick. The undercook was attributed with the thick layer of batter placed down. The cheese cake filling was a cheese cake and sour creme with vanilla and lots of sugar. The plate itself was cheese cake, but in a crepe, I think the cream cheese could have been batched fresh with yogurt for a lighter filling than this premade stuff or fold in some whip cream to lighten it up. And even a fold of strawberry syrup would have made the crepe taste like a strawberry cheese cake crepe. It had fresh strawberries but will honestly give a sour taste. The dessert was glazed with caramel. The washrooms are located in the back but wasn't stocked with hand soap. It's a nice date location but crepes could use enhancement. I dont think I would return for the crepe, maybe will try a coffee drink next time.

The husband is from Japan so his dishes are a Japanese-French fusion. Their steak frites is one of their classic dishes that is a must try. They have specials and have a wide range of drinks. Their desserts are also very delicious. Going back to the owners, the wife serves as host, but is also knowledgeable in wine. She circulate the restaurant and seems really keen to get to know the customers. I have already been here twice and can't wait to return. Reservations are a must! The ambience is definitely something to long after the music is wonderful and the service is extremely well. Done with the food is incredibly precise and the definition of beautiful. What's so amazing about this restaurant is that everything is so in sync the head chef seems to treat all of his kitchen staff with utmost respect and does not hesitate to teach them what they might not know he is the opposite of what we would think stereotypical harsh chef would be. The chef's wife is in charge of the dine in. She is a warm and bubbly character. That makes sure everything is up to the high expectation we all have once we go there for dinner. Once again, yes, the prices are a little bit elevated, but for a gourmet restaurant, it is absolutely worth it his magnificent little restaurant and everybody there is extremely kind and the food is nothing less than delicious.

I first came during Summerlicious 2024 and they weren't serving their regular menu, so I HAD to…read morereturn to experience their tried & true dishes. We've dined indoors and in their outdoor covered patio - overall a romantic traditional space and I particularly liked that the patio was secluded with greenery, white glass framed windows, and had the sounds of the trickling small water fountain. We ordered some appies: -Escargot Tartan (interesting to try, texture and taste similar to a denser mushroom) -Stracciatella & Caviar (rich and creamy balanced with the salty bursts of caviar) -Pain au lait (the brioche was nice and fluffy) Mains: -Nova Scotia lobster linguine bisque (initially didn't look like there were a lot of lobster meat, but in between the pasta were some generous chunks) -Ribeye (I thought the potato tart component stood out with the textures!!) Then dessert: -Seasonal mille feuille (great, no notes) Overall - I felt like I was transported to a French upscale inn and would love to come back. Next time, we were recommended their foie gras, scallops & frog legs, and Sole Meunière (fish dish meant for 2 people where the server carves it in front of you - I did notice the fish appeared pretty small. Maybe an option if you wanted a lighter main)

It seems like they are booked out but we gave them a call and they were able to squeeze us in for 5:15pm reservation on Saturday. Underground parking available and they validate it even if you come a bit earlier than your reservation. I love the charming little house exterior and warm country charm interiors. I ordered their salade de lyonnaise, lamb sirloin and chocolate torte. All were good. Though my friend couldn't have any alcohol and the lamb had a red wine sauce, instead they gave her some kind of reduction or au jus sauce with her lamb and it was absolutely delicious, way better than the actual sauce that came with our lamb and beef mains. We ended up using some of her sauce for our dishes too. I also tried the leek soup and pork terrine appetizers, which was also good though I especially liked the salad with the egg on top. The desserts are probably the highlight of my meal. I love the chocolate torte I had at the end and also tasted the apple tarte which was also great. I think for the Winterlicious menu, the quality of desserts are certainly better than other spots I've had. We also enjoyed the drinks, I had a lychee mocktail and my table had some wine and spanish coffee and decaf cappuccino which was also good. The staff was very attentive though my friend, while she told the staff she doesn't have a shrimp allergy she just didn't want shrimp in her soup. Somehow it was served with it but they did later corrected it, which is all good just a minor hiccup. Probably better to just have us eat it for her than bother with the changes.
