With burgers being one of the house specialties, I chose the Messy Burger. It's a 10oz beef patty with sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and drizzled with Caesar dressing. I ordered onion rings on the side. Holy cow! It was served with the oval shaped meat patty overflowing from the bun, smothered with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. I was tempted to cut the meat in half and stack it but decided to eat some of the excess with a knife and fork. Despite the impressive size, the taste of the meat was just average. The onion rings, on the other hand, were very good! They were very crispy and not greasy at all. The service was very friendly and efficient, with everybody smiling and checking on me. Overall, the food was decent and the service was very good. I'll be back.

That's clearly the vibe they're going for, but you should know ahead. A bit funny that part of the restaurant theme is curing a hangover from the night before when they have music at club volume, but whatever. And the DJ wasn't just putting music on shuffle either or just playing old hits, so at least there was effort. I split with someone else and tried the smoked salmon eggs benedict which had hollandaise with beet mixed in (hence the colour). It was really good and my only regret is waiting a few minutes to try it since I started with the pancakes first (more on that), but it meant the egg cooled down. But that's on me. I liked the hashbrowns too and the house salad. The pancakes with blueberry compote and lemon ricotta were amazing. Loved the texture, the quality and lightness of the ricotta and I always love lemon with blueberries. Will definitely get this again. Just keep in mind with the music (at least on Saturdays) this place really isn't suited for families - whether that be younger children (and music was fully explicit) or parents/grandparents either.

The café itself is beautifully decorated with green benches, pink chairs, and flowers on the walls. A big plus - not only felt the cafe very inviting, it was was also very clean. Our coffee and food were both amazing and absolutely delicious! It is on the pricier side, so it is definitely not a cheap breakfast, but it was absolutely worth it. Evviva is a must-visit when you are in Toronto and in the area. We would definitely come back!

We had sparkling water and diet cola both times. Our beverages never ran dry. There is an upstairs that overlooks the first floor dining area. We wondered if anyone had ever spilled a beverage that landed on guests below. We could definitely see the possibility of that happening. They also had a nice patio, however, on the hotter days, not sure how enjoyable the city smell would be while trying to eat. Interesting - they only had one bathroom. So we observed a line. And there are tables right next to the door. I would avoid those seats if possible. A little too close to the restroom in my opinion. If we are in the area again, we would definitely eat here again, although they may be at the new location if we visit in the future. I look forward to seeing the upgraded features at the new location.

Pierina guided us via phone and even came outside of the restaurant and waved as we approached. That was awesome Customer service as well as kindness. Ambiance was chill inside. Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. Its a 56 Oz Canadian prime tomahawk with grilled corn salad. The steak was fantastic as it was dry aged and cooked very well to medium (showing a warm, thick band of hot pink). The corn salad was an excellent pairing as well. For the rest of the dishes, they all tasted great but the portion sizes were noticeably smaller compared to other restaurants I been to. Overall, this restaurant has a lovely / relaxing atmosphere and beautiful decor decor. Service was awesome as well. Worth checking out if u want a fine dining experience in Distillery District.
