So clean to the point that when I brought it in Robert, the owner, he said, "You're car is clean - why do you want to get it detailed?" to which I replied, "Make it cleaner". His question was already unsettling to me. I've read about detailing and if I keep my car clean and I bring it to you that means I want my car pristine - fresh off the lot clean. Especially for $120 + a 20% tip. Well guess what? My car was not pristine. It was cleaned, but not to the level I wanted it to be. There was still residue in the gear stick that had been there. He didn't get the stain out in the back seat. There were black stains on the exterior that I think splashed from whatever chemical he was using.... All in all I wasn't too happy. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but if I give you a car that is pretty clean and you're gonna charge me $120 then take it to the next level of clean. I want my baby Pristine. The owner is pretty curt and straight to the point which I was 100% okay with. There is no way I would go to another body shop no matter how long I had to wait to get in to Dan Bearden's shop here in Alamogordo. We have had Bearden's shop work on my previous car, my van (multiple times), my truck, my husband's truck and my car (multiple times) with total satisfaction. We get updates when our vehicles are in the shop. The work done here has always been top notch, they care about their customers (that applies everyone that touches the vehicle) as well as doing the best quality work possible. The skill of their workers is unmatched and they are all polite, courteous and willing to go the extra mile. They take pride in everything they do and will take action to correct flaws in their workmanship that the customer may not even notice. The type of pride they take in their work is like that of the 50s and 60s; a pride that seems to have since gone out of style with some other places of business.
