I wanted to get a specific skateboard for my best friend for his birthday, who is also a skater, so I went into the store for the first time in my life. The two staff members behind the counter did not even look up from their phones, and one said 'Hi'. I smiled and asked if they carried the board. Still without looking up, one said 'No'. I just stood there for a moment. I then asked if they could order it. Again, without looking up from his phone, he said 'No'. I saw that they carried another board my friend liked, noted the price and quickly left. I found the board on Amazon for half the prices they were charging at the store and bought it. I have received better customer service from a rhesus monkey. And as I walked out, a skinny male teenager with acne walked in and the staff greeted him warmly by his name.

Shortly after we walked in, he found a pair that interested him. The friendly sales associate told him he was free to try them on and gave a little history about the sandals. He stepped into them, I told him to walk around in them, and "sold!" I was most impressed by the friendliness and customer service from the two young women staffing the store. Mike, the owner, went above and beyond to satisfy all my shopping needs…read more I had been eyeing the Kaimana longboard prior to my visit and had already convinced myself to buy a board as a souvenir for my Maui trip. Luckily, it was available and the price was very reasonable for a complete. The board looks beautiful and the funky, psychedelic artwork was designed by artist and internationally renowned surfer and stand up paddler, Sonni Hönscheid. I almost don't want to ride it and just put it up for display because of how gorgeous it looks. It holds my weight well and is flexible. I honestly can't wait to cruise on it. I told Mike that I was going to have it checked in for my flight and he found me a box, packed the board in nice and snug, and even taped it up for me. He literally packaged it ready to go so I won't have to do anything but check it in at the airport. If that's not excellent customer service, I don't know what is.
