Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

I got nervous because she was going in pretty short and haphazardly but she seemed like she knew what she was doing. & then she blew dry it, I hated it. I spoke up and pointed out the areas that looked nothing like the image. It was shaggy, choppy and quite honestly the curtain bangs looked like how when I tried cut my own bangs. I last took my daughter to get her hair cut and permanently colored a bright red in Oct 2023. $380 later she ended up with: 1) A layer of her long thick hair was CUT BACK UNDERNEATH all the way to her scalp. We 100% did not ask for this thinning, or whatever was being attempted. It's ridiculous when she tries to wear her hair up. (see photo attached with 11 months of growth) 2) The red dye lasted maybe 3 weeks, even while using the shampoos and conditioners for red hair. It was supposed to be a permanent dye that was applied after the hair was lightened but apparently was not. I also had my hair cut here three times. Overall, meh. It's way too expensive for what they are providing, and the younger stylists seem not to want to be bothered with women over 50.

I have also seen Fadoua who did an incredible job on my color and the only reason I didn't go to her again is because I can't speak French (even though I should!). When I saw fadoua for color, Natalia styled it after and was amazing and speaks English. Please note - I don't think people should have to speak English and don't fault Fadoua AT ALL, but sharing this in case other non-French speaking expats read it! I'll go see Jeremy again for color and future haircuts and am so happy to have been recommended to try this place.

Hair review Walked…read morein on a rainy Thursday morning. I searched Yelp to help me find a decent Dominican blowdry. The reviews did not disappoint. I was greeted with a smile from the hostess and the stylists. The hostess speaks both Spanish and English. The majority of the stylists speak Spanish but they are able to communicate hair needs in English. I requested a wash and blow out and was immediately attended to. I was sat in the wash chair and consulted on needing a deep conditioning treatment which I was definitely in need of. I have curly hair and my hair was in a high bun for the past 4 days, so yes to conditioning. The treatment was an extra 10$ and maybe an extra 15 minutes under dryer. The head wash was everything! Deep scalp massage and double wash. My scalp felt cleansed. The stylist consulted on what type of blow dry I wanted (flat super straight, volume, bouncy) and I requested a super straight look without needing a flat iron after. My request was fulfilled and I left with my hair feeling glam. The heat was strong so if you have a sensitive scalp be ware and tell stylist if it gets too hot but to achieve the look I wanted I know it was needed. Very happy with my drop in stop and I will be visiting again. Total cost $55 plus I tipped the stylist.
