Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

This was because I was familiar with the person and it was cost effective. Recently, that person has moved away and I had to find another way to do my hair. I heard through a friend I trusted about this salon and made an appointment. The person on the phone who I made the appointment with was warm and welcoming. I was excited for this new experience. I should also note that on the day I was getting my hair done I had a family function to attend. On this day, my aunt called me in a panic because her hair appointment was suddenly cancelled by her salon. I told her where I was going and when she called in to see if she can get a blow out, Be Inspired immediately fit her in. Needless to say, she was pleased with her experience as well. I went in for a single process and a trim. On the day of my appointment I walked in to a cute boutique salon and was greeted right away. I didn't have to wait long until one of the salon assistants escorted me to a chair. I was asked if I wanted a beverage. It was wonderful! My stylist was Gina. She made a point to ask me questions about what I wanted and made me feel very comfortable. After the whole process I felt like a whole new person. Not knowing what this would cost, I asked around and Be Inspired charged me what I was told to expect. I would say their prices are fair. Boy oh boy were my instincts right. I feel as if the hair gods have finally seen my struggle and granted me this place as a peace offering. The owner Avi cut and styled my hair. I last took my daughter to get her hair cut and permanently colored a bright red in Oct 2023. $380 later she ended up with: 1) A layer of her long thick hair was CUT BACK UNDERNEATH all the way to her scalp. We 100% did not ask for this thinning, or whatever was being attempted. It's ridiculous when she tries to wear her hair up. (see photo attached with 11 months of growth) 2) The red dye lasted maybe 3 weeks, even while using the shampoos and conditioners for red hair. It was supposed to be a permanent dye that was applied after the hair was lightened but apparently was not. I also had my hair cut here three times. Overall, meh. It's way too expensive for what they are providing, and the younger stylists seem not to want to be bothered with women over 50.
