I was recommended to Marccuc by many Malverne local friends. I was getting married and my hairdresser at the time made a disaster of my hair. My highlights were all different thickness and orange and five different tones. A total hot mess! My hair was getting damaged by me going back to get it fixed and it got worse. Stressed from hair that was a hot mess I made a consult appointment at Marccuc; MaryAnn was so wonderful on the phone giving me a much needed appointment and I met with the wonderful Victoria. She made me feel so relaxed and confident that she could fix my hot mess hair color. Victoria is my color hair God, over a few sessions my hair was perfect. Even after one color session I was super happy and Victoria has been doing my color ever since. I do throw her a curveball every 6 months when I want to change my color to something completely drastic or just chop my hair off. She's always "ok, let's do it!" I love that about her. I can't wait to see her facial expression the next time I see her with what I want to do next. I've recommended a good few people to Marccuc for hair because the staff are awesome. I go to Danielle to get my hair colored, cut and blown out and she does such a great job. She always takes my ideas and then makes them even better because she really knows what she's doing. She's also really good at maintaining my curly hair which is where a lot of hairdressers at other salons falter. All the girls there are always nice when I come in. They offer me coffee when I get there and tell me how great my hair looks when I leave. The last time I was there, I was the last customer for the day and they didn't judge me for being the last customer like other salons do just because they want to go home. The shop is kept really clean and it is always decorated tastefully for holidays or seasons. It doesn't feel stuffy or affected like other high end salons. I highly recommend it if you live in the area. read more

Stay away!!!The salon is dated , They color hair in the basement which is dark and damp!!!The owner Maryann is not up to par with style, self consumed -, and she is rude ,crude and prejudice!! Does not value her customers or her. I was getting my hair done and could not believe that she actually gossips behind her customers back to other customers. I waited a year to write this review, trying not to spread badness around, while I decided if I wanted to share this. It's been bugging me ever since. My very elderly mother started going here through the recommendation of a friend. She prefers to be a brunette, but one visit, she came out with harsh looking black hair. 1st time ever in her long life and she was very unhappy. After a week of trying to live with it, my mother went back to have it fixed, with the acknowledgment that the stylist had made a mistake. The owner had the AUDACITY to charge my mother $176.00 for fixing this mistake. Even the receptionist hesitated to put when told what to charge my mother, but was told to send it through. It should have been ZERO! My mother didn't want to make a fuss, because she is too polite and proud about things like this. I, on the other hand, have spent a lot of my time fending off those just like Marcucc who take advantage of elderly people. Shame on you Maryann. read more

I have been going to Marcucc for 30+ years and cant say enough about how great it is. Everyone is and always has been wonderful and professional. Every time I walk through the door I feel welcomed! Ive gone through every type of style thru the years from perms to highlights, short hair, long hair, you name it, they have done it and done it beautifully! Margaret is not only someone who cuts my hair but someone I consider a friend. Steven certainly picked the right buyer when he chose Maryanne. Shes a doll!! This salon is always current and always full of happy faces. After reading the previous reviews, I cant imagine anyone not liking marcucc, likely they have "stupid" issues of their own. read more

Today I went in for the st tropez spray tan....and I'm hooked..... I don't look orange at all which is what usually happens..... People stopped me today and asked where I went on vacation that's how natural it looks!!!! Update: So I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion whether it be good or bad. Once I posted my review, I was then harassed by Heather (shame on you) and then by Maryanne (the owner wow - Stephen would be ashamed) on social media and on my cell phone. All I asked was to have my daughter's money refunded and she would gladly go to someone else to fix after they banned her from the Salon... Wow banning a 19 year old. Shaking my head with unbelief at your Salon. Shame, shame, shame on you. I guess they took their attitude and frustration out on a 19 year old. But they refused. So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau . I hope they have integrity and do the right thing. After all, when you lose that, you have and are nothing. PS. Took my daughter to my Salon, they had to cut alot of her hair to remove the blotches and afterwards actually had an Ombre and it looks so beautiful, the best I have ever seen. read more

She was attentive and listened to what I wanted ( I am kind of a pain in the ass) with picking my color. She mixed these colors together and it is exactly how I pictured it! They do great hair but they have bad customer service skills and they are not professional at times . My mom called to make an appointment for me for a blow out day before Thanksgiving and she didn't mention I have long hair or thick hair though I've been going to the same place since I was a kid I'm 27 now the girl at the counter didn't schedule the appointments right I came in 10:30 and left a little after 11 they booked another girl around the same time as me tho they blame me for it because I didn't mention I have long hair and need time to wash my hair. The nerve I put up w a lot from these girls I continue to go because my hair is thick so not everyone can handle it but I can't help I was born w this kind of hair. The girl should ask questions my mom called thinking these girls knew me this long by now but you can't blame customers for your mistakes. I'll give them one more shot before xmas if things don't improve I'll find a place where they speak to me right. I don't say anything because I pay good money for my hair and they do a good job but I hate hearing them complain. read more
