I'm not sure why my previous review was put in the "filtered" category; was it TOO GOOD for Yelp to publish? If so, that's too bad, because I'm going to give Oskadusa 5 stars again! I make high-end artistic pieces (including some with seed beads), so I'm only interested in high-quality materials. So keep in mind that the size of the store doesn't matter; the quality of the beads, findings and employees DOES -- and Oskadusa is the best of the best in those respects. The owner is also fabulous and always makes me feel welcome -- plus, she is one of the funniest people I know! Her taste in beads and findings is amazing, and the prices are always fair. I went to their Grand Opening today and "wow" what a great location. They just moved about 2 miles south on Hwy 101. Great large space with great parking. Their selection of beads, findings, and tools are great. I'm looking forward to their classes again after they get settled. read more

This may be a "tiny store" but let me tell you the very best things come from this small package. They have the greatest assortment of anything and everything you need, and if they don't have it they will get it for you. This morning, UPS delivered my 4 year old daughter's much awaited Moana-inspired necklace from an Etsy shop located who knows where. Within seconds, it had broken, the clasp attached to the necklace with mere glue. Oskadusa to the rescue!!! I happened to be walking by and by chance swung by this bead shop to see if they could offer me some tips to fix a necklace that I was seriously thinking about just chucking. Not only did they offer tips, but they completely REWORKED the necklace for me with new chain, wire wrapping, etc. while I stood right there. And they charged me pennies. I seriously stood there with my mouth hanging open while these two wonderful ladies, both with a hilarious sense of humor, helped me out, refusing to take too much because, as the owner Lauren said, "You need to save that for your daughter's college fund." I come from a small town in the Midwest, and have been desperately trying to find that type of "neighborliness" and kindness here in Southern California. Well, I found it at Oskadusa. read more
