Upon my arrival at the park there was someone, Janet and Dan, there to greet and direct me to my parking space. I am a new RVer and Dan was extremely helpful and understanding while assisting me in backing my RV into my space. It took awhile for me to back into my space but Dan remained with me through the whole ordeal and he even gave me helpful tips to assist me with my backing in the future. Janet did not just give me the registration paperwork to fill out but she stayed with me and assisted me with completing the registration. They made sure I had everything I needed and came back to ensure I was situated into my space. Janet also explained the mail system and ensured I received my mail. Janet and Dan made me feel welcomed to the park especially since I was a new RVer. I am a walker and Janet was always there in the mornings to greet me when I returned from my walk. Oh by the way there is a bridge with a sidewalk which is perfect for walking. She also told me how to get change for the laundry room and took me to the laundry room to make sure I knew how to operate the washer and dryer. If I had concerns or problems with my RV Dan was always there ready to help and assist me with my concerns. I really enjoyed the view of the water while I was at the park especially the sunrise and sunset, they were just beautiful. I do not fish but the pier was perfect for fishing and gazing at the water and boats. Across the street from the park is a recreation area perfect for family gatherings, boating, canoeing, bathrooms, and a playground for the kids. Previous parks that I visited had internet connections that did not work consistently but Riverfront's internet had a very strong connection and did not go out or disconnect the entire time I was there. There was also a strong connection for the television which saved me money because I did not need to purchase a satellite. The park's residents were nice and helpful. I enjoyed the various activities that the residents had, especially the Superbowl party that Janet and Dan threw for the residents, good job guys! I thoroughly enjoyed the Jacksonville Zoo and area which was approximately 5 miles from the park. The park is centrally located near grocery stores, clothing stores, convenient markets, malls and the highways. They are pet friendly and all the dogs got along with each other. Riverfront RV park is quiet and peaceful and it is truly a Hidden Gem in Jacksonville and I highly recommend this RV park to anyone who is looking for a park with everything they could possibly need especially peace and quietness.

A long, slowdrive to the fort from there- not a walking path, but saw bikers. Once you get to the fort, park. There is a small gift shop & they can answer questions. Kids under 5 are free. We went on Saturday and there was a reactment event! Great way to experience the life at that time and hear the stories and historical information! These people are volunteers and it's their hobby that I appreciated a lot! The beach when you get out of the fort is different kind, no swimming and lots of driftwood and whatnot! The drive there and back is breathtaking following the winding road and looking at the moss covered trees that frame the road! We visit all the forts and historical sites as much as we can and this one is great!

Park is mostly stationary full timers who leave early for work so there is some noise. Train runs close by so can hear that as well. In the flight path of airplanes but not constant. Sites are gravel. No fire pits. Laundry and restroom facilities. We are staying here for 2 weeks to wrap up some business. It is at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it if we hadn't been hassled about the dogs.

We did get a few drops of pine sap on our Jeep, but tar and sap remover made short work of that. They have free breakfast which is great if you're in the mood for Waffles and Coffee. (We have really good coffee in our RV). The pool is one of the nicest I have seen in 44states worth of RVing. It's close to the highway, both an advantage and source of noise... not horrible but not quiet. We have a white noise machine that made the road noise disappear. Nice concrete patios are available. Sites are gravel and flat. Roads are a bit dusty. They appear to be simply dirt. If they were paved, I would have given it a 5 star review.

One member of our group confirmed on June 30 that all of our reservations were paid in full. When we arrived on July 2, we were told by the general manager, April, that we had not "locked in" our reservations and that one of our adjoining sites had been given to another guest. We disputed this because our reservations had already been paid. Another employee, Ingrid, reviewed our reservation and stated that the site showed as paid. At that point, April ended the discussion and informed us that the adjoining sites were no longer available. As we attempted to explain our documentation, April said we were being disrespectful and called the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. When the deputy arrived, we explained that we were willing to move our RVs but needed the gate code to maneuver them out of the park. The deputy confirmed that we had not been given the information needed to move and instructed the manager to provide it. Because we had receipts showing our reservations had been paid, we also requested an immediate refund before leaving. The deputy suggested that refunding our payment would be the quickest way to resolve the situation, and the refund was processed. The entire experience was stressful and disappointing, especially after planning our family holiday around adjoining campsites. We expected better communication and customer service, particularly after our reservations had been confirmed and paid. Seeing the Good Sam affiliation displayed at the park made the experience even more disappointing because it did not reflect the level of professionalism we expected.

Even though there was a constant stream of cars in and out, it wasn't too noisy. It was clean (as usual) and they even provided a large garbage can for each reserved site. There was only one small issue we ran into. This location didn't have a check-in option from our email confirmation, so we had to use the kiosk, which is no big deal but the kiosk required a passcode. The Love's employee came out to help. They said that some customers log out of the iPad completely, not knowing they don't need to. Again, not a big deal but being able to check-in from our confirmation email is a plus. We have been keeping an eye on the new RV Hookup locations popping up and planning our travels accordingly. It's nice to be able to fuel up and stay after a long day.

They're reasonably priced, quiet, and beautiful!!! One thing that was good for me about this park was their outstanding internet for their guests that they did not charge for!!! My children could stream their devices and I could stream mine for work purposes. They keep the park up very well and no one bothers you. There is sand lot right next to the…read moremain beach making it super convenient, especially when you have young children it's easy to run back to the car and makes the worst part of a beach day, trekking back to the car with cranky, tired, sand covered kids while carrying enough chairs to fill a home a whole lot easier. If you have AWD there is a secondary lot access allowing you to park your vehicle directly on the beach. The bigger AWD vehicles (Jeeps, pickup trucks) can go all the way to the other end of the beach where the sand is like powder and the water is almost clear blue. The waves on the main beach were nonexistent so a lot of family with younger kids stayed on that side, it was quiet, kids playing in the water and parents chitchatting. On the AWD access it was more lively. Lots of big groups, young and older. Lot of different music, playing beach games. Down at the very end the waves were much bigger and that's where I saw most of the surfing taking place. Great for collecting shells. Lots of cool seabirds. On the main beach there were hermit and Filder crabs (they are too small for their pinch to hurt). Overall a great beach.
