We love the daily reports! The security protocols provide an effective defense-in-depth strategy that I think adds significant peace of mind. The children are safe, secure and well taught. Discipline is effective and consistent with a focus on positive reinforcement and good decision making. Accidents/incidents are communicated rapidly and the staff are very attentive to the health and well being of our children. The facility is clean and sanitized with the attention of detail that has resulted in the best environment for our children. The food options are excellent and provide a balanced meal to keep our little ones fed and nourished. Issues or concerns that were communicated by myself to the staff were respectfully discussed and addressed in a timely manner. The events and activities that are sponsored by the academy are great team building opportunities for the parents and staff. Additionally, they provide a strong foundational marker for the children to observe the parents being a part of their educational journey. Highly recommended!

She can't take my grandson to camp weeks of 8/3 to 8/14 because she can't drive. Therefore, he won't be attending but still has to pay. This is an unacceptable policy and an unfair policy of paying for unprovided services. I don't recommend their summer camp program. This isn't a family friendly or unplanned emergency policy.

The Poolesville location is like the forgotten campus....old toys, NO type of "extra" activities, like a moon bounce, turkey trot, or even the materials to do these activities (the pictures from all of the other campuses look lovely...they are not even a small representation of their Poolesville location). The staff are not all qualified, they don't know how to talk to the children correctly, and it's really a shame because they only have *maybe* 20-25 kids at any given time, which means they could be doing SO much with the kids and location, yet it's apparent that they don't care. Their staff is treated poorly (that's been made very clear by the fact that our location has new staff members multiple times EVERY school year) and the staff that do try, are basically just left to sink or swim with very little guidance. My child is only there because she has an incredible connection to 1 teacher, she is totally self sufficient, and because their enrollment is so low, she enjoys not having a million kids around. We've been at this location for 5 years, and nothing has changed. No matter the conversations had with their head office, the licensing violations, or any other parent complaints. I've given them 5 years to fix problems and they don't. Enough is enough. I'd enroll elsewhere, if you have the option.

Most people know Adventure Links for their popular camp programs for children and teens. However, they also offer stellar corporate team building programs, which is how I got to know them. About five years ago, as the CEO of a growing company of 20 professionals, I was struggling with how to address some growing pains and spice up our upcoming quarterly retreat. A friend recommended Adventure Links, so I scheduled a meeting with Anna, the CEO. Anna came to my office and interviewed me to understand my business, our challenges, and what I hoped to accomplish. She asked many questions, listened, and took notes. The next week, we took our team of 20 to their retreat location. Anna and her team had put together an all-day agenda of activities that went way beyond simple ropes courses. What surprised and "sold" me on them was how she'd managed to incorporate our growing pains into her exercises in meaningful ways. Sure, we had fun and bonded, but more importantly most of us began to see certain everyday problems in meaningful new ways, with fresh solutions. To this day our team references those exercises like old Seinfeld episodes. After each exercise - some physically challenging and all mentally challenging - Anna would bring us together and help us draw correlations to some of our corporate issues. It helped that she has a sharp wit and great sense of humor. She and her team also knew when to push and put us on the spot to drive home a point. Six months later, we wanted to bring Adventure Links back for another quarterly retreat, but this time due to bad weather we had to do the exercises in our office. They totally pulled it off! The indoor exercises were unique and again gave us a fresh perspective on both issues and people. An example - during one intense exercise where we split into two teams, a junior staff person had a "eureka!" moment with a brilliant solution to a problem, and spontaneously took control of our team, which included several executives. I had no idea this young lady was so intellectually gifted and capable of leadership under pressure. How valuable is that information for an employer? My firm has engaged Adventure Links several times since then, all with success. When my children are old enough, I'll be sending them to the Adventure Links camps...I know they'll learn and have fun. Adventure Links rocks!

My son had some bad experiences at another daycare and it made him really scared to go to any daycare. On the first day he tried it out he didn't want to leave and it's been that way ever since. I have been with this daycare for 3 years and I'm very satisfied with my experience. The staff is wonderful, welcoming, understanding and very helpful. The director Danielle is amazing!! She's understanding and anything you have an issue with or anything you need you can talk to her. My son has many favorite teachers but Mrs. Adriana is the BEST! Shes an amazing teacher and care taker. This daycare also works with an app that allows the teachers to tell me how his day is going with pictures and I can see the schedule for the day. When my son was younger and still potty training I got updates when he used the potty as well! I also loved the safety they had. Every room has a camera so the director can see what's going on in each classroom. Both the door to enter the building and the door to go to the hallway to get to the kids have a code on it, double security so not anyone can just get in. You get a lovely tour of the place and on the holidays they do special crafts and parties. They do before school and after school care and pick up kids at school too. They also do class pictures and "school" portraits so you can purchase lovely photos of your child. Again I can not recommend this place enough! If your thinking about it , take the tour because you get all the information you need and you won't regret it.

I would put that their district manager was great in finding a flexible rate for our unique shift work schedules. However a few things must be highlighted that were disturbing. Each child receives a box to put spare clothes, creams etc. I once picked up my child, with other kids dirty laundry in her box. When I asked the staff members whose it was, they responded to just leave it in the corner. They obviously changed the child to who the clothes belonged to. Yet they seemed to be very half hazard in their care of whose clothes, where it should go and overall positive control. Another incident occurred when I picked up my child and she smelled of cigarettes, albeit lightly. I in no way believe that someone was smoking with my child, but it was apparent that the staff member had a cigarette and when finished proceeded to hold my child, therefore causing the smell on her clothes. LASTLY AND MOST DISTURBING They use and application called "Precious Status" in which the faculty members update you child's naps, feedings, etc. We received five status updates of my child's routine one morning, yet our kid was NOT at school. The teachers select the child's name not the parents, so it is apparent that the staff member was repeatedly and deliberately choosing my child's name to update another baby. That lack of attention to detail in baby identification seems particularly disturbing .
