For my side, I substituted the fries for shrimp fried rice, which turned out to be a massive mistake. The rice tasted incredibly old. It was very obvious they mixed hard, stale old rice with a newer batch to try and camouflage it. The only saving graces on the entire plate were the buttered toast and a miniature serving of coleslaw. Everything else was a total waste. To top it all off, they failed to provide any condiments, silverware, or napkins with the order. Between the deceptive fish swap, the old rice, and the complete lack of basic takeout essentials, this meal was absolutely not worth the price. I highly doubt I will ever be returning.

I just come here for crawfish mainly when in season. If you tried other Vietnamese spots you'll understand what I'm saying. But rice can be too saturated with oil as well. Just my thought. But signature sauce makes rice taste better. No dirty rice here either? Not a bad choice around when wanting Cajun though.

Yet, the queso was pretty thick, but I think I'm just used to Lupe's food now. Today was my first time going there. The food was ok. The service was terrible. I'm noticing a lot of restaurants in the area the wait staff think they have excellent memory and choose to just listen to an entire tables order instead of writing everything down. Me and a co worker ordered just for the waitress to come back almost ten minutes later to ask what we ordered again. She wasnt sure. Had she wrote it down she would not have made our less than 1 hour lunch that much more time sensitive. Then she still brought my buddy the wrong drink and also shot of liquor that no one ordered. I ordered 1 fajita with brochette with a side of blackened tilapia with 3 shrimps on the side. She brings me two whole entres. I explained the tilapia was a single order of the fillet with 3 shrimps on the side as well. She said ok. Came back with only the fish and shrimp. Didn't refill my water and at the very end brought my buddy his water he had long requested, only after he asked again. When it was time to pay she charged me for 2 entres. I told her I didn't order 2 entres. She gave me this O well type of look. I paid it and still tipped. E for Effort. Mgmt please have your wait staff use those traditional little pads to write orders down. I only see this problem at all the restaurants who don't make their wait staff write the orders down. read more
