Thought would be better. The ceviche made of salmon ' no taste. The worst they brought me the wrong food. I cannot believe I was told if they take it back they would charge the waitress. Ha. ??? We are not in Mexico. You go not see that.

The food is very exclusive. The food is very good atmosphere, music, and everything. everything was great. Even the performance with the pan. Everything.

Wow!! Found the right place for mariscos!! Fresh taste, no fishy taste or smell!! That's how it's done, flavor at it's best!! Not sure why such low stars because I'm telling you this place is so delicious!!! The ambiance is banda and mariachi! Loud but family, fun with a great vibe!! Wanted to dance but they don't have a dance floor lol The service from start to finish was great!! Aracely was friendly and attentive, smiling and not overwhelming when checking up on us to see if we needed something!! Everyone there has a great vibe! So much food going to tables, it's crazy!! You have so many choices and can't decide, menu is very extensive and everything looks so good. We ordered aguachile (red/green with medallones) omg!! So delicious not over done, if you know you know that aguachile shouldn't be cooked all the way, just lemon and spices/sauces and that's it!! No fishy taste, it was fresh and I was so surprised because I always end up tasting the SEA/Ocean lol and even no smell!! How tasty!! My husband ordered coctel de camarones and it was huge and tasty too! He says "I think I overate " lol no duhhh it was huge. The bacon wrapped jalapeño with cream cheese were so good too!!! Oh almost forgot, the cantaritos with tequila are so refreshing!!! Not overwhelming with tequila, it was so good and just a small one was enough for me lol Try this place and don't let the low stars fool you because this place is a gem!!

Weird to see that this place only had 3.2 stars but I think Houstonians in general don't know what good mariscos are. I'm from Mexico and I haven't found a local place that serves authentic scallops, clams, blood clams until I came here. Patas de mula, callos de acha and other clams were just delicious. I will visit again

Cantarito 1 litro muy rico Termine pagando $260 mas on menos + incluyendo tip. Para 4 personas y alcohol para dos.

Food is amazing, drinks are sooooo good. Our server Alberto was amazing and really took care of us!

3.5! We come in and the music is blasting. We get seated right next to a speaker and are practically shouting at each other (important bit for later). This is definitely some people's vibe, like my parents, but not mine. Service was great to start off, we got our drinks (the marg was good though not worth $11 in my humble mango marg connoisseur opinion) and we got plenty of wait time trying to decide what to get. Then our plates came. Everything was great, portions look relatively good for the price, except the server misheard my dad's order and when we told her this, instead of taking it away or apologizing from the get go, she tried convincing my parents that they said what was brought out. After a few times of saying no, we said so and so, she took it away. Then, she came over with another server, maybe a manager, who basically told us that we ordered what they brought out. Multiple of us very firmly said no; at this point we were frustrated a bit (it was my dad's birthday (though they didn't know this) and his order but seriously, how could 3 people be lying about what we all know he ordered?) but they did apologize and brought out the correct plate for him. The server did end up apologizing herself again (really hoping that the mistake did not come out of her pay like I read another reviewer saying) and we also started to feel a bit bad for getting frustrated (cue the excessive thank you's, smiles, and nods of trying to let your server know you are actually not trying to make their lives miserable). The rest of the service was good! The rice was okay, but lacked flavor for a Mexican white rice. The Malin taco was okay as well. I had never tried that fish, it's kind of like tuna, so a bit dry in a taco for my taste. The shrimp taco was definitely the move and my favorite of the night, though still maybe 4 stars. Would I come back? Only if I had to (if my dad wants to go back).

The wait for food was about 30 minutes however the drinks were delicious so they kept us patient. The food was a solid 10/10. The ambiance is really nice so I will also say that's a 10/10. Now that price of the food is pricey but I think it's worth it. However I do see that going with a large group can easily add up but I would say it's worth it because of how great the food is. The extra fees are a little excessive but I understand that's this avoids from servers not being tipped well. Over all I would say this place is a10/10 and they can have all my money. Side note: yes there's cheaper seafood places but you can't compare mambos to this at all. Ni comparen

As possibly one of the only white guys that was there, I felt at home. Everyone was very nice, the music was outstanding and the food is the best part. 10/10. STRONG recommendation.

Wonderful atmosphere great ambiance, good food and service. The con is that they automatically charge you a tip and credit card fee if using your card. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which were great and the Chile verde aguachile with shrimp which were also wonderful and spicy, I recommend these. Others ordered the flautas which were ok. The Margarita drinks we ordered were weak for $10 each. They do have entertainment here but no dance space. Not sure if I would come again even though most restaurants are doing the same thing. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars.

Not sure why this place has bad reviews. I came, given the language barrier (my waitress spoke very little English, and I spoke some Spanish), my experience here it was beyond expectation! Food quality is amazing. I had to refrain from ordering a bunch of menu items. Takes me back to being in Mexico. I ordered pina culichi and boy or boy, was it goodddddddd!!!! I also love that when I order Jamaica / hibiscus...it was a huge size that arrived to my table! Definitely coming back here for their lunch special. Bunch of menu items for $9.99! My waitress Nicole was awesome. She was always there when I needed something!

It's a tasty red salsa (no green/verde). The staff were very professional and efficient. We got our orders taken in a timely manner, the food didn't take long, and our drinks were always filled Everything tasted great. The prices are typical for Tex-mex type restaurants. But the ambiance, service, and quality are worth a stop Some tips: The interior temperature was fairly cold, and I run hot. I'm not complaining at all, more warning those who get cold easily They open relatively early (10am) everyday, but they typically close before 9pm, except on Saturdays Cheers!

It's a small place, so it's not ideal for large gatherings and they're easy to miss. El Tostaco Regio does not serve typical Mexican cuisine. Their food is what you would find served on the streets of Mexico. So there's no refried beans, rice or a queso plate here. Most of their dishes comes with beans and a cup of broth. Their food is served fresh, but messy. Everything they make is packed with flavor, but not overpowered by spices. The tables have three complimentary sauces you can try with your dishes. If your other party is not in the mood for Mexican, El Tostaco Regio also have burgers and baked potatoes. Their menu is bilingual, thankfully. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are affordable. I will say that their AC system could've been better, considering we're in Summer now. They only have only bathroom. Aside from a TV playing Latino music, there's no decor inside at all.
