The miniloft came up on google first, and a looked around at other places, but I kept coming back to the miniloft and I'm glad I did. We rented a "classic" one for 3 weeks. It fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, in a quiet bit of Mitte but near lots of things to do and ever so convenient to the S-Ban and the tram. There is great food in the area as well as being close to such great things. There are a variety of apartments of difference sizes and prices to meet your needs. The classic we had was stated to be abotu 420 sq ft (42 sq m) but seemed more open and spacious due to the high celling and large windows. The units in the "old" building are off the street more and quieter, but get less sun. But I was extremely happy with the whole feel to it and it was much better than many appartments I actually lived in as a student. The staff is excellent, helpful and friendly. The miniloft guide had great tips, although the restaurant portion needs updating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the miniloft to friends and family and plan to stay there again on any return trips to Berlin.

They did not have much toiletries, and the rooms are small. It would be a bit tight for two unless you just crash in the room. I did appreciate having a door size window to peer over the city. The concierge was helpful. There are perks for those who sign up for their member program. It is a popular motel so if you check in late afternoon there is usually a queue.
